[2011.12.20] CECILIA CHEUNG FALLS INTO A LOVE TRIANGLE

courtesy of on.cc

The Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) in the new film SPEED ANGELS (GIK CHOOK TIN SI) not only competed in acting but also performed a love triangle with Japanese hunk Kazuki Kitamura.  Milk Tea who has always excelled in playing fragile characters this time picked up an ashtray and championship trophy to get rough with Kitamura.  No wonder he joked, "I completely couldn't tell she was gentle!"  He also praised both as Best Actresses and his favorite actresses.

Perhaps he was too intense and in character, Kitamura's strange habit was unveiled.  The crew said that he took two showers in the morning, he prayed everyday at the start of the workday and ate very slowly.  In one scene he was dissatisfied with his performance and asked for 25 more takes.  He was very demanding on himself.

[2011.12.06] CECILIA CHEUNG IS A NATURAL BORN RACER

courtesy of on.cc

Jimmy Lin participated in the film SPEED ANGELS (GIK CHOOK TIN SI) as a star and racing consultant.  A month before the shoot Jimmy Lin trained Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Tang Wei and Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) one on one in racing.  He said that Pak Chi was a natural racer, Tang Wei picked it up very quickly and drove steadily, and Lau Yeuk Ying focused on practical technique and studied in detail; their driving style was very similar to their personalities.

Earlier when Jingle Ma Chor Sing prepared for SPEED ANGELS, he thought of working with Jimmy Lin.  The "Little Cyclone of Asia" is the first paid professional racer in Chinese show business and has won international racing awards.  Ma Chor Sing at first invited Jimmy Lin to be the racing coach for the three female leads as the racing technical consultant.  During the shoot he thought Jimmy Lin was wasted as just the behind the scene coach and consultant and suggested for him to play the team coach.  Because Jimmy Lin has been busy with racing he has not made a movie in six years.  Thus he gladly accepted the role and claimed that the director really knew how to do business, hitting two birds with one stone.

[2011.09.01] TANG WEI APPEARS IN JINAN

courtesy of takungpao.com

On the 29th, Tang Wei appeared in Jinan for a cinema opening.  This was Tang Wei's first public appearance in Jinan.  The cinema prepared 3D glasses for Tang Wei, who liked this pair of glasses very much and even made cute poses for the media with it.

After the event, Tang Wei was asked whether she had any standard in her fashion.  Tang Wei said that comfort was the best.  Speaking of the just completed film DYNAMIC ANGEL (GIK CHOOK TIN SI), Tang Wei said that she was very happy to finally have a chance to work with Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) and Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi.  Playing a female racer in the film, Tang Wei said that her driving improved.  "Everyone dare to sit in my car now."  As for rumors with a Mainland rich kid, Tang Wei denied them immediately.  "This isn't true, I am still waiting for love."

At the China Film Huabiao Award Tang Wei walked the red carpet with many heavyweight class stars and even presented an award with Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Huang Xiaoming.  The ban seemed to be completely lifted off her.  Before Tang Wei replied, her manager loudly responded, "Not answering this question."  When interacting with the host, Tang Wei was obviously excited when she talked about the Huabiao Award.  Being able to appear in the so-called "government award", Tang Wei's ban lift was clear.

courtesy of on.cc

Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi earlier took an accidental chop to the face while working on LADY GENERALS OF THE YANG FAMILY (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN). Her right cheek was swollen. Last night at a fashion show she hid it with make up. She said, "Now with make up it's OK. It doesn't look too swollen with my hair brushed to the side, but
after removing the make up it is very swollen. (Are you always injured?) Not so severely, accidents often happen. (Did Ting Fung tell you to be careful?) Yes, his heart is aching." Pak Chi said that if she had any more "close up" action scenes, she would discuss with the director because the face was too important.

Always wanting a daughter, Pak Chi was asked about Kelly Chen Wai Lam's in vitro twin pregnancy. She said, "Congratulations to her. I am very happy for her. (Would you follow suit?) Having a baby is a very joyous event, outsiders shouldn't give so many opinions. (When will it be you?) I will try to make time."

Also in attendance was Pak Chi's DYNAMIC ANGEL (GIK CHOOK TIN SI) co-star Tang Wei. she said that when she learned about Pak Chi's injury she immediately called to console her. She said, "Being an actress is like that, it's very tough but the shoot is very happy. Pak Chi is very nice. Professionally she has a lot that is worth learning from." Tang Wei also pointed out that she will promote LATE AUTUMN with Won Bin.

Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) has not been in Hong Kong for a long time. Yesterday she attended a Rado Tsim Sha Tsui flagship store opening. However tomorrow she had to return to Taiwan to prepare for her Mainland concert tour. Luckily her films DYNAMIC ANGEL (GIK CHOOK TIN SI) and YUN FUN NAM NUI have already wrapped up production.

In ANGEL, she had a lot of fun working with Tang Wei and Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi because they often exchanged advices on fashion and diets. In order to her race car driver character well, she trained for a month before the shoot. Luckily although she had many dangerous scenes she was
not injured. She honestly said that she would be insured for more for dangerous scenes, but the prevention measures before hand were the most important. She also praised the action director for being very attentive.

Tang Wei, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) recently all carried two films. They had to work respectively on WU XIA, JUI KEUNG HEI SI and MOON FUN NAM NUI so they often had to work in different places. Their new film DYNAMIC ANGELS (GIK CHOOK TIN SI, tentative title) group scenes extremely hard to schedule. When the team was able to accommodate Tang Wei, it might not be able to adjust to Pak Chi and Lau Yeuk Ying. Reportedly the director has removed many group scenes to avoid hindering the production progress further.

Director Jingle Ma Chor Sing admitted that the actress schedules were hard to deal with but did not cut off scenes. He said, "Their group scenes are very important and can't be removed. I know their schedules are hard to deal with, but they look and act great, they are worth the
wait."

A group scene that had to be shot last week finally took place last night in Shanghai. In the story Tang Wei and Cheung Pak Chi who were originally at odds ran into each other at a jewelry store. Lau Yeuk Ying was Tang Wei's good friend. Although their schedules were hard to deal with off camera and they did not have much time together, their relationship has been great. Off camera they constantly chatted intimately. Pak Chi's brother Parkman Cheung also visited the set.

Yesterday October 15 was Jimmy Lin (Lam Chi Wing)'s 36th birthday. Lately Siu Chi has been busy working in the Mainland on the Jingle ma Chor Sing directed film DYNAMIC ANGELS (CHOI CHEH) and could not celebrate his birthday with his son Kimi and his wife. However the team was great, preparing a cake for him as his co-stars Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Tang Wei, Chie Tanaka and Han Jae-Suk celebrated with him. Tang Wei and Pak Chi even posed for photos with any make up.

Siu Chi was unable to spend his birthday with his son and missed him on his micro blog message. Two nights ago he said, "Although it was my first birthday that I had to work on a movie on, today has been sunny. Like my mood it has been incredibly happy. After leaving home for nearly a month, I only miss my family and my happy angle "Siu Siu Chi" even more. Yesterday afternoon he posted a photo of his son "Siu Siu Chi", who was dressed like a race car driver. Siu Chi yesterday posted a "letter for Baby Son". He said, "In the blink of the eye you are one year old! Having you has been the most beautiful thing in my life. Watching you learn to sit, to crawl then to stumble and walk, being able to take every step with you in life has been my dream. Sometimes when you smile at me with your crescent moon eyes, I think an angel probably looks like this! You are my pride. Though I can't see you on my birthday, your angelic smile is the best gift. I wish you grow up peaceful."

Chi Siu in CHOI CHEH worked with Pak Chi. Earlier Nicholas Tse Ting Fung visited the set. The guys talked about fatherhood. Chi Chi said that Ting Fung even brought Lucas, who made him miss his son even more. Chi Wing wished that his child could grow up happily and safely.
An avid racing fan, he was very happy to have the chance to work on this film. He said, "Auto racing sport is not only my interest but also my career. I appreciate very much that Director Ma Chor Sing kept me in mind for me to have the chance to work on the silver screen again."
