The 29th Genie Awards will be presented on Saturday April 4, 2009 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They ceremony will be broadcasted on Global and IFC at 9pm ET/PT.
The host this year is the Dave Foley, so I'm sure we are in for a fun night. Presenters for the evening will include Gordon Pinsent, Sarah Polly, Karine Vanasse, Callum Keith Rennie, Wendy Crewson, Vik Sahay and George Stroumboulopoulos.
Top runners for this year include Ce Qu'il Faut Pour Vivre / The Necessities of Life, Tout est Parfait / Everything is Fine, Amal, Fugitive Pieces, Maman est chez le coiffeur / Mommy is at the Hairdresser’s and Passchendaele all of which have more than 6 nominations each.
