[2010.10.15] ELANNE KONG KEEPS EMBARRASSING HERSELF

courtesy of mingpao.com

Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam earlier worked with Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) in Thailand on the 3D ghost film CHILD's EYE (TUNG NGAN). Although their first day at work was their first meeting, they already had a lot to talk about. "Rainie and I seem to have met too late. We talked about anything and everything, maybe because our personality and preferences are very similar. the only difference is she likes pretty guys and I don't, so we definitely won't fight over a boyfriend!" Recalling the shoot, Elanne revealed, "Once I went out with Rainie and came back very late. The next morning we had a very early morning, so I just went down without any make up and hair tied up in parts. Finally Rainie saw me and said that my pretty girl image in her heart was all gone. She is still laughing about it!" She not only ruined her image but also accidentally gained weight while on location in Thailand. "I don't know why, when I got there I couldn't stop eating. Everyone was telling me to stop and to lose weight. Earlier we went to Venice, the first thing that Rainie said when she saw me was whether I still had the big appetite. It was really embarrassing."

Although she was made fun of, Elanne pointed out that Rainie also had her heart warming side. Earlier on her birthday, this good friend cooked upa surprise for her. "At midnight I got a call, a guy was singing Happy Birthday to me. Actually at the time Rainie and Piggy (Show Luo) were working on a series. She knew I really like Piggy so she asked Piggy to call me and sing the Birthday song to me. I was really touched!" Since Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung) was her idol, did Elanne ask the company for a movie for her to work with him in? She sweetly said, "A pure romance would be the best, it has to shoot on location in Hokkaido. I wouldn't mind paying for my own flight! As for a kiss scene, it would be the director's call!"

Elanne in the film had several buddies. First time in a ghost film Rex Ho Chun Wai pointed out that in CHILD's they could have had more fun. "Because in the film I was captured very early on, so all the screaming was the girls' responsibility. Actually I wanted to try playing a ghost in ghost make up to scare people." Ciwi Lam Si Man said that during the shoot her ghost make up frightened her. "At the time I was wearing white contact lenses. I couldn't see what I looked like after make up. I was really scared after the shoot when I removed the con!"

[2010.10.13] RAINIE YANG AND SHAWN YUE FEEL NO ELECTRICITY

Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam), Shawn Yue Man Lok

courtesy of mingpao.com

Taiwan "Cute Cult Leader" Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) 8 years ago worked with Shawn Yue Man Lok on the Taiwan idol series THE LOVE BOOK (OI CHING BAK PEI SHU) and were linked in gossip. Recently they reunited in the 3D film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) and played a couple. Rainie honestly said that she was nervous about working with Ah Lok again as she went to weigh herself right away. Rainie said, "I used to be very fat, he said I was very heavy when he carried me and I was a little upset. Actually it was my flaw, a female artist's figure shouldn't be like this. Maybe back then it was my first series, the pressure was enormous. I only knew to eat but didn't know to lose weight! This time I was afraid that Lok Jai would see me fat, luckily he said I am much thinner."

Ah Lok never thought that he would be able to work with Rainie again and even felt that she changed a lot. "Rainie has matured. She used to look cute but now she has quite a feminine charm. However she is only 24. Rainie's acting has always been great. She used to work on series mainly, then she became a singer. Now she is very successful." Rainie said, "Thank you! Actually I gave him a red pocket for him to say that. He too has grown more masculine!"

Did they feel any electricity when they worked together? Ah Lok said, "Truly no, the rumor then was just for laughs and is in the past. Luckily reuniting many years ago, we didn't feel like strangers at all. The collaboration was very pleasant. Rainie and good sister (Elanne) Kong Yeuk Lam on the set got along famously, I couldn't jump in at all." Rainie cut to the chase and said that she and Ah Lok had no chance. "Our spark isn't from romance, only from work. We were innocent of the rumor back then, I was 17 or 18 and didn't know how to face it. Now it's in the past, time has proven everything."

Rainie worked on her first ghost film and gave her "first time" to Ah Lok. Ah Lok said, "Speaking of this I have to be responsible, actually I was a virgin too......in a 3D movie, haha!" He described the 3D film production as more complex, one shot needed 3 hours. He was bored from waiting on the set!

[2010.10.13] RAINIE YANG EMBRACES ELANNE KONG AND CRIES

courtesy of takungpao.com

Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam worked together for the first time on the film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) and became as close as sisters. Each time they saw each other they would speak softly and laugh loudly. Because Elanne's family originated from Xiamen and Rainie knew Taiwanese, they traded secret in Taiwanese so others had no idea that they were having a heart to heart chat.

Rainie was rumored to be dating Wu Chun, which Rainie smiled and denied. Elanne also pointed out that Wu Chun was not Rainie's type because she liked manlier guys. Rainie said that actually Wu Chun was very manly! She knew that Elanne preferred talent over looks in a boyfriend. Due to the film they became close, on the day of the wrap Rainie was emotional and had a little to drink so she held Elanne and could not stop crying. She was still crying when she returned to her room and Elanne made fun of her for being a cry baby. Would Rainie give tickets to the movie to Wu Chun? Rainie said that he definitely would have to see it but she wanted him to buy his own ticket. She even asked Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung), Jiro Wang (Wong Tung Sing), Mike He (Hor Kwan Cheung) to show their support.

[2010.10.12] JO KUK SACRIFICES HER SKIN FOR ZOMBIE MAKE UP

courtesy of takungpao.com

The film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) will open October 14. Jo Kuk Cho Lam in the film played a couple with Lam Ka Tung. Siu Kuk played a ghost with special effect make up and the character itself was also very challenging. It was more terrifying than she has imagined. The make up alone took over three hours. She said that after make up she looked like a zombie. After every shot, the director would add sound effects to watch the 3D footage, even she did not dare to watch again.

Siu Kuk in order to play this female ghost made a huge sacrifice. She joked that she had to ask the Pang Brothers for facial mask money. In the film she had to soak in a tub of water, her entire body was covered with a lot of glue. She even had a lot of toilet paper on her entire body for the skin peeling effect. She pointed out that even her face had glue. After two week her skin reached critical mass and even nutrient could not save it. After make up she could only keep applying facial mask as she tried to save as much as she could.

Siu Kuk said that the water on screen was green due to chemicals. In order to stay in the water, she held on with her legs to prevent from floating. She even had to act with her eyes open in the water. She saw micro organism floating in the water and was very scared. The scariest part was the scene took half a day to shoot. Siu Kuk recommended the scene in the end with Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam). Siu Kuk pointed out that the scene was very eerie. Even Oxide Pang Shun told her to watch because she seemed to have become another person, once even suspecting that she was possessed.

Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam), Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam and Jones Xu (Tsui Ching Hei) yesterday promoted the film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) as the trio went to the cinema and met with viewers. Yeung Sing Lam and Kong Yeuk Lam after working together this time became good friends. Yesterday they were dressed like twins as both came in denim shorts and long boots. They said that they dressed very similarly but because they did not plan to. Rainie brought all of her clothing from Taiwan. They could not have expected to be so similar. Elanne joked that yesterday they were well matched.

Yesterday they attended the event together as their fans kept chanting. Were they afraid that their fans would be at odds? They believed that would not happen. Rainie pointed out that fans might be as in character as they were to be chanting so strongly. Elanne also joked that when she heard the fans she thought she owed them money. They also talked about their production experience. Tsui Ching Hei said that after work he and Rainie went to Kong Yeuk Lam's room to play and they were like a family. Rainie also revealed that Tsui Ching Hei put on Elanne's pajamas and hair band and walked around, but she praised her as attentive and would help with the dishes.

Elanne praised Tsui Ching Hei was a 100% nice guy, but his chest almost ripped out her pajamas. She also joked that maybe he had a costume fetish so she would not fantasize about him. Rainie also praised Tsui Ching Hei as very cute, Elanne's clothes was all over the round but he often would automatically fold them up for her. Rainie pointed out that everyone thought she looked tough, but Elanne was was a girl who needed to be taken care of. She was very envious.

The Pang Brothers directed 3D horror film CHILD'S EYE two nights ago held its premiere. Attending actors included Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam), Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam, Shawn Yue Man Lok and Lam Ka Tung. The event arranged for an actor to dress up as a female ghost to appear during the promotional ceremony, Yue Man Lok jumped away from fright. The most daring in the film, Yeung Sing Lam bravely left the stage with the female ghost.

Kong Yeuk Lam appeared in a sexy low cut short dress, which she joked that it felt very tough as her stomach was hurt from the binding. She said that she dressed up for the 3D film promotion. Was she worried about being accused of stealing Yeung Sing Lam's thunder? She said, "She is very handsome, I was very happy to see her." When Kong Yeuk Lam saw CHILD's EYE at the Venice Film Festival, they could not help but screamed. Kong Yeuk Lam said, "We were the loudest viewers there."

Yeung Sing Lam during the event was dragged off stage. She said, "I didn't know in advance. In the film I was the bravest. They wanted me to experience the taste of having a ghost drag me away. That female ghost's hand was very strong and very wet. She performed very well, very scary." Kong Yeuk Lam called Yeung Sing Lam handsome, she said that her personality was more individualistic and cool. Privately they were good friends. Yeung Sing Lam said that she would stay in Hong Kong for 3 days.

Yue Man Lok said that he was very afraid when she saw the female ghost. She looked very horrifying. He said that he would not feel embarrassed while promoting with once rumored girlfriend Yeung Sing Lam. She even said, "No, everyone knows that was fake. Earlier I couldn't promote in Taiwan because I was working in Beijing. We are incredibly familiar, and always see each other at work."

[2010.10.07] RAINIE YANG AND LAM KA TUNG SET OFF SPARKS

Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam)

courtesy of takungpao.com

CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) 3D will open soon. In it Lam Ka Tung played a murder suspect whose wife Jo Koo Cho Lam's ghost haunted a hotel. Lam Ka Tung said about his character, "I grew out my hair and facial hair to play an unfriendly looking character. I didn't base that on any movie. I only release the grievances in life at all once, everyone would be very scared when they watch."

Lam Ka Tung felt that the scariest scene in CHILD'S EYE was when Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) discovered him chopping meat in a kitchen. "At the time Cult Leader (Yeung Sing Lam) felt very scared the first time she saw it. Because she was investigating what kind of person I was and suspected that I kidnapped her friends, that scene's visual effect was very strong. Because she kept trying to save her friends and boyfriend while I had to stop her from uncovering the truth, when they got together it was a clash of the titans. I was even suspected of being a deranged murderer."

Yeung Sing Lam said, "I was the most afraid of the bloody props, when I heard Lam Ka Tung chopping meat with one chop after another I already had chills. The blood and flesh even splashed all over the place."

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam starred CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) 3D film will open on the 14th. In it Kong Yeuk Lam even ran into a "female ghost" for the first time on the Thailand set. Because the female ghost looked too frightening, she has been invited to participate in Ocean Park's Halloween event and scare people in CHILD'S EYE haunted house this year.

Kong Yeuk Lam said, "In that scene he saw the female ghost appear at the protest site, but my manager told me to first close my eyes. When I opened my eyes I immediately screamed. The Thai special effect make up truly was amazing, with contact lenses it was very grotesque and horrifying. That night when I got back to the hotel I had a nightmare, as that ghost kept appearing in my mind." The self proclaimed chicken, Yeung Sing Lam did not dare to sleep alone at the hotel. However after making this film, almost everyday she ran into ghosts on the set and thus she became more courageous. She was even able to sleep alone at the hotel, which she considered the reward from making this film. However she did not recommend a scene with ghosts. She said, "In one scene a monster discovered me. At the time I was carrying a dog, I was breathing very carefully and couldn't catch my breath. Luckily that dog was obedient. Whenever the performance got tense it kept its bark in, so our shoot was very smooth; instead in a group scene, director Pang shun suddenly yelled cut. We thought we made a mistake, but actually the dog fell asleep. The director could only give everyone a break and let the dog sleep."

[2010.09.09] CHILD'S EYE SCARES RAINIE YANG AND ELANNE KONG

courtesy of singtao.com

CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) received good reviews after its Venice Film Festival premiere. The leads Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam were convincing with their terrified looks in the film. The 3D effects also added the terror of the film as if the movie was reaching at the audience.

Ghost film expert directors Pang Brothers added 3D elements in their horror film and strengthened the horror level of CHILD'S EYE, making the audience that was "trapped" at the movies paranoid and feeling "there is always one around"!

As Hong Kong's first 3D horror film, whether the horror effects were enough naturally became the topic of attention. "Sacrifices" Yeung Sing Lam and Kong Yeuk Lam in the film were kept in terror. Although personally they were very close, acting wise they held a "scared look" duel. They along with Ciwi Lam Si Man had a lot of opportunities to demonstrate their skills, as they were exhausted and crying from being scared. Yeung Sing Lam gave up her cute image to play a brave and depressed character. Kong Yeuk Lam and Ciwi had to sacrifice their beauty for their roles.

Early in the film, Kong Yeuk Lam saw something strange and was attacked. Although at the time she was acting with air, her scared look was still convincing. After the 3D effects, the hand seemed to reach out of the screen. Not only Kong Yeuk Lam was fainted from fright, the
audience would be screaming too! Later a monster attacked Yeung Sing Lam, who gave a "speechless from fright" look. The 3D monster looked very real, no wonder the self admitted chicken kept screaming at the premiere.

The film also had other horror scenes. For example Jones Xu (Tsui Ching Hei)'s possession scene was shocking. The underworld also appeared in the film, with plenty of paper offering flowing in the air. The layers were clear and absolutely did not waste the 3D technology.

courtesy of singtao.com

Shawn Yue Man Lok guest starred in the film LEGEND OF THE FIST THE RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN (JING MO FUNG WON CHEN ZHEN), which was one of the Venice Film Festival opening films. Ah Lok earlier personally attended the Venice Film Festival. On a Mainland site interview, he said that he was able to make that film completely because of director Andrew Lau Wai Keung's invitation. In addition he has never performed in an early Republic film, thus he became interested in this character. Ah Lok said that he did not know how to fight and was only responsible for the dramatic scene in the film. All the action scenes were Donnie Yen Chi Tan's responsibility.

In addition, Ah Lok's films REIGN OF ASSASSINS (GIM YU) and CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) also appeared in Venice. He honestly said that he was rather lucky to have three films at his first Venice Film Festival. He even said that currently he would like to work with director Feng
Xiaogang the most.

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Oxide Pang Shun directed 3D film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) was invited to take part in the Venice Film Festival. He led two lead actresses Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam to the global premiere there.

Because it was the ladies' first Venice Film Festival, they were particularly excited on the red carpet. After arriving at the cinema they put on their 3D glasses to enjoy CHILD'S EYE for the first time. They nervously held hands and even screamed out loud. Rainie said, "I already know how my scenes go, but I was still so scared that I screamed. It's so embarrassing. Luckily Ah Ling was watching with me." Kong Yeuk Lam said, "I like to watch ghost films, but with the 3D glasses it's especially intense. This time watching while holding Rainie's hand was very intimate, even screaming was especially enjoyable. I consider it cheering for the film!"

Rainie revealed that her most memorable scene was when she picked up a puppy to investigate the ghost whereabouts and ran into a monster. "At the time I kept holding on to the dog, when I breathed I had to be very careful. I was afraid that he would find me, he very quickly found me and I was really scared. I wanted to cry but I couldn't, now looking back I still have that feeling of not being able to breathe." Kong Yeuk Lam's most memorable scene was when she was possessed and led Rainie into a paper offering world. "In the film (Jo) Kuk Cho Lam possessed me. I remember after special effect make up I didn't dare to look at the mirror because I thought I looked very horrifying. I was all green, my face was cracked, the entire feeling was very 'ghost like'." Luckily during the shoot they did not run into anything strange, but Kong Yeuk Lam's assistant saw a woman in white in a mirror in the elevator. In order to keep from scaring Kong Yeuk Lam during the shoot, she was not told until they returned to Hong Kong.

[2010.09.04] OXIDE PANG'S CHILD'S EYE ELEVATES HORROR

courtesy of on.cc

The Oxide Pang Shun directed, Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam), Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam starred 3D ghost film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) became the first 3D Chinese film to be invited to participate in the Venice Film Festival. Known for his ghost films, Pang Shun made the first Hong Kong 3D ghost film CHILD'S EYE to be shot with 3D cameras and post production. It was quite a major challenge. "Bringing together elements like ghosts, monsters and murder suspects with 3D effects, the movie conceivably can put the audience right in the middle of it and elevate the horror level."

Kong Yeuk Lam stated that only with his first 3D film did he realize how accurate the marks had to be. The slightest misstep would make the focus inaccurate. Yeung Sing Lam admitted that she was easily frightened. She only took the ghost film because she liked the script, which her family and friends all found to be incredible!

Director Oxide Pang Shun and film company executive Lam Siu Keung two nights ago appeared at the airport to head to Venice and promote the Universe film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN). Pang Shun said, "Because the film was sent away for special effects, I haven't seen the completed version. (When will you return?) In about six days. (Back in such a hurry?) Because film festivals rarely invite 3D films to participate, I have hope in this trip. I also want to have some exchanges with directors there!" Pang Shun also said that film company boss Daneil Lam Siu Ming and his brother Lam Siu Keung often invested in films. Thus he and brother Danny Pang Fat thanked the Lam Brothers very much.

[2010.08.31] CHILD'S EYE TURNS ELANNE KONG AND RAINIE YANG INTO GOOD FRIENDS

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Pang Brothers' first 3D camera shot and post production 3D ghost film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) was invited to participate in a non competition portion of the Venice Film Festival. On September 2, director Oxide Pang Shun led the actresses Rainie Yang (Yeung Sing Lam) and Elanne Kong Yeuk Lam to Venice to attend the September 4 3D version global premiere.

Yeung Sing Lam and Elanne became good friends from their first collaboration. Love, friendship, work, nothing was off topic for them. Yeung Sing Lam even helped Elanne clean up her room while shooting in Thailand because she could not tolerate it anymore. Elanne also cooked for the first time for Yeung Sing Lam. Yeung Sing Lam said when she first met Elanne, she thought she was very cute girl who was very polite and quiet. However two or three days after work started, Elanne's true nature flowed out. She was a girl who was energetic like a guy. Their personalities were very close, as they both were girls who would not think too much and would not hesitate. Although they were in two different places, they maintained contact and cherished their connection very much.

Elanne stated that when Yeung Sing Lam came to her room, she could not help but fold her clothing and pick up after her. Thus she thought Yeung was quite lady. She also returned the favor and cooked for Yeung Sing Lam, as she told her, "The first time I cooked it was for Yeung Sing Lam." Yeung Sing Lam excitedly came to Elanne's room and was curious about what they were eating, but actually Elanne only put all the vegetable into a pot for a hot pot casserole. However they had a great time chatting. When the movie wrapped, they embraced each other and could not stop crying because they were willing to part.

[2010.07.24] ELANNE KONG BITES LAU CHING WAN

Elanne Kong Yuek Lam, Lau Ching Wan

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Danny Pang Fat directed film FAIRY TALE KILLER (SOK MING TUNG WA) yesterday held its production start ceremony in Thailand. Attendees included Elanne Kong Yuek Lam, Lau Ching Wan, Joey Man Yi Man, and Mainland actor Wang Baoqiang. The film company selected a lucky time for the worship ceremony to take place and invited Thai priests for the ceremony. In the film Lau Ching Wan and Man Yi Man play a couple. Yesterday they worked on a scene in which they saw Kong Yuek Lam and Wang Baoqiang on the streets and mistook them for beggars. Ching Wan gave them 20 bucks.

Ching Wan expressed that this time he plays a cop who is investigating serial murders but actually is a "slanted shoulder" (irresponsible) cop. In one scene Kong Yuek Lam had to bite him. Ching Wan said, "It's just a bite! It's no big deal!" This is also Ching Wan's first collaboration with Pang Fat. At first he thought he was very serious, actually he was very happy and had a childlike innocence. The shoot has also been very comfortable, the facilities were complete. His wife earlier also visited the set. Earlier the entire team all succumbed to eye infection. Ching Wan said that his eyes have always been sensitive and required eye drops even with a little more dust. Luckily his eyes were only red and were fine after eye drops, but others had to be hospitalized.

Kong Yuek Lam's character suffers from severe autism. Wang Baoqiang plays her boyfriend. She also has been busy with a TVB series in which she plays a happy and energetic Ming Dynasty princess, a role that is very different from this film's character. Because she plays
someone with autism, she has no dialogue and can only make expressions. She works on each scene until she mentally breaks down, she also has to hit herself in the head. She also goes crazy, hits and bites Ching Wan. Sometimes she works until she wails and she is afraid that she cannot
leave the character. The worst part is the team wants her to face the wall for several hours to gather her emotions. Because she wears white, other people pass by and think they see a ghost. They often use a flashlight on her. The director also prohibits her to go out and eat so she is focused on the character. She also says that this character is very similar to the 15 year old who killed his mother and sister in Hong Kong. She feels that Hong Kong has many mental patients. How does she relieve stress? She says, "Luckily the TVB series has (Michael) Tse Tin Wa and (Sammul) Chan Kin Fung to play with me, later I will take half a month to visit Taiwan or India."

Kong Yuek Lam also said that on her first day in Thailand she was locked in her hotel for half a hour. Luckily later she was able to open the door and she immediately asked her assistant to keep her company. Speaking of the film CHILD'S EYE (TUNG NGAN) being selected for the Venice Film Festival, she was very excited about the chance to go the event. Meanwhile, working with Ching Wan for the first time Pang Fat stated that as soon as the cameras rolled he knew Ching Wan was "good". Kong Yuek Lam also has improved a lot. As for CHILD'S EYE's Venice Film Festival participation, he expressed that he did not know whether he or his brother
would go. Lately he has been busy with writing a love story.
