THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) two nights ago held its Beijing premiere.  Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin led Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Lin Peng, Bai Bing, and Andy On Chi Kit in attendance.  Ting Fung and Chairman Chou looked exactly liked brothers the entire way and even made the Mr and Mrs Smith back to back gun pose on the red carpet.

The director and the actors went to several meetings before and after the screening, viewers who just finished watching the film seemed to still be in the film as they called them by their film character names.  Chairman Chou joked, "If I knew in advance you might as well save us a few seats so we can watch your reaction.  When you should cry you have to cry!"  Ting Fung said handsomely, "THE VIRAL FACTOR will definitely bring you incredibly exciting two hours!"  Ting Fung also took the chance to "beg for mercy" with the director.  "Next time can we please shoot at a clean location.  In THE VIRAL FACTOR every time after work I had to shower three times, even my underwear had mud in it".  Kit Lun also joked, "Then don't wear underwear!"  The crowd shrieked.

[2011.12.01] LIN PENG REVEALS JAY CHOU'S NICKNAME

courtesy of takungpao.com

Dante Lam Chiu Yin yesterday led Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Lin Peng and Bai Bing to attend THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN)'s ultimate trailer release in Beijing.  THE VIRAL FACTOR's official Mainland site was already launched.  Although the trailer was only two minutes long, it shook the venue floor.  Chairman Chou praised the trailer as very "amazing" and left everyone breathless.  At the press conference the director and the three actors kept talking about the pain of the joy of the production.  Chairman Chou admitted that Director Lam has already forced him toward madness.  He never expected that the film needed three months to shoot, which made me want to go home everyday.  Lin Peng and Bai Bing joked that good food was wherever Chairman Chou was.  Bai Bing said that while working in Jordan, Chairman Chou constantly found some unexpected restaurants.  Lin Peng pointed out that Chairman Chou in
Malaysia took everything to have Bak Kut Teh.  The director immediately complained to Chairman Chou, "Why during the shoot you didn't take me once to try authentic local food!  If we have a chance to work together again, I definitely will make your production even tougher."

Lin Peng also revealed that Chairman Chou had the nickname of "Little Pale" on the set.  Although this time Chairman Chou looked very different from what everyone was used to, his skin was tan.  She realized that Chairman Chou had some very pale places so everyone called him "Little Pale".  Chairman Chou admitted that this time his VIRAL FACTOR costume was the most "manly" in his film career.  Lin Peng also cut her hair short for this film.  Chairman Chou joked that next time she might as well shave her head.  As for Chairman Chou's rating of Lin Peng's look, Lin Peng immediately said, "He doesn't like short haired girls!"  Chairman Chou awkwardly said, "Right!  I like long haired ones."

Speaking of shooting in Jordan and Kuala Lumpur, Chairman Chou admitted that Jordan to him was like "hell".  He pointed out that he was someone who did not like restrictions, but life in Jordan was too regulated and was very different from her personality.  Thus everyday after work, he would work out with Andy On Chi Kit.  While in Jordan, his "heaven" was a Chinese restaurant, as soon as he left he seemed to have returned to "hell".

[2011.11.15] VIRAL FACTOR SHAKES MALAYSIA

courtesy of on.cc
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Emperor Motion Picture VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) cost almost 200 million yuan and was shot in Malaysia and Jordan.  The film gathered stars like Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Lin Peng, Bai Bing and Andy On Chi Kit.  The production team earlier headed to Malaysia's "Mongkok of Kuala Lumpur" golden triangle Jalan Raja Chulan.  With the full support of the Malay government, the team not only had road blocks two days in a row for a chase scene and an explosion but also police officers and many police vehicles to assist with pedestrian and traffic.  Ambulances and fire engines were also on hand.

The shoot took place on a Kuala Lumpur holiday.  Many fans and Malaysians already grabbed a good spot early in the morning.  During the official shoot, Keung Ho Man with a bulletproof vest and Ting Fung with a smoke grenade launcher traversed between vehicles as Chow Kit Lun followed them closely.  They fired shots at each other and finally even fought hand to hand.  The gun shots made onlookers scream in fright.  Many also applauded their exciting fight scene.  Unfortunately working under the heat of Kuala Lumpur, only the three of them knew their own pain.

In addition, the giant explosion scene on this street was also a major scene.  After the explosion fire erupted and reached four stories high.  The explosion could be heard several blocks away, onlookers were stunned.  Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin appreciated the local government's support very much and at the same time lamented that he had no chance to shoot such a scene on the streets of Hong Kong.  "Although now Hong Kong film production conditions and coordination are already well matched, in comparison to Malay, Hong Kong still has many restrictions.  I definitely cannot possibly shoot such a gun fight or explosion with a Nathan Road road block because the entire Kowloon would collapse, but this time I am able to do so in Malaysia."

[2011.09.04] THE VIRAL FACTOR WRAPS

Director Dante Lam, Lin Peng, Jay Chou, Elaine Jin, Bai Bing

The Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed new film THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) after finishing its final shoot in the Beijing 798 art district immediately held production close ceremony.  Aside from the director, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun). Lin Peng, Bai Bing, Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling), Zhang Ran and other actors attended.  They even opened bottles of champagne with film company executives and attracted many reporters.

The background of the production wrap scene was winter with heavy snow on the ground.  Chow Kit Lun returned from overseas to visit his ailing mother Kam Yin Ling and met her nurse Zhang Ran.  Speaking of the wrap, Chow Kit Lun happily said, "After the production ends, I looked forward to the film's official release very much.  The entire team has been working hard for so long.  At the same time I also breathed a sigh of relief for Director Lam Chiu Yin.  During the shoot I saw how tired and exhausted he was.  Now it is finally a wrap, he should take a breath!"

Lin Peng worked with two hunks Chow Kit Lun and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung for the first time and complimented both as great.  Ting Fung was very handsome and Kit Lun was somewhat childlike.  She honestly said that she was more nervous about working with Ting Fung than with Kit Lun, because Ting Fung was very professional and excellent she could learn a lot from him.  As for Chow Kit Lun he was easy going, loved to talk, was not arrogant at all and was a serious actor.  Lin Peng even cut her long hair for this character.  She honestly said that she was reluctant to cut her hair but only this way was suitable for the character.  In her first action film Bai Bing thanked the director for giving her a chance to try and even honestly said that this was an unprecedented challenge for her.  In the film she spent most of her time in a bullet proof vase and a series of action and gun fight scenes.  She also had romantic scenes with Chow Kit Lun, but unfortunately she did not have a chance to work with Ting Fung and Lin Peng.

Playing Ting Fung and Kit Lun's mother, Kam Yin Ling praised both as professional and good actors.  Actually this was not her first collaboration with Ting Fung.  When Ting Fung was 19 they already worked
together on METADE FUMACA (BOON JI YIN).  At the time he was very quiet and did not like to talk.  She said that she and Ting Fung had little contact.  Instead she was close to his parents.  She also praised Ting Fung as a very hard working actor who strode for improvement.  She believed that he was the extremely rare breed after Jackie Chan.  As for working with Chow Kit Lun for the first time, she thought that he was a little shy, which instead helped their emotional scenes.

The Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Andy On Chi Kit and Bai Bing starred THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) shot on location in Jordan. Lam Chiu Yin spent almost HK$100 million to use live ammunition and real guns. With the support of the Jordanian military, over 100 powerful and used in real battle tanks and jets appeared in the film. As a gun expert, the director explained the various gun knowledge to Chow Kit Lun and Bai Bing. Both have been rarely in contact with guns.

The director in order to make their performance even more detailed took the time to personally explain to them the uses and other knowledge of the guns, including how to hold them, load ammunition and shoot them. The prop master even gave Chairman Chou a model gun for him to practice with. Bai Bing in the past participated in mostly small budget films, and due to her sweet and mild mannered looks she often was cast in more quiet roles. Lam Chiu Yin changed her image this time into a tough warrior woman. She kept asking the director questions during the shoot. Director Lam said, "She is very hard working and willing to learn. As soon as she was free she would ask questions, maybe because she studied law? Haha!" Bai Bing also thanked the director for his patient instructions. "I need to learn a lot, luckily the director took the trouble to answer."

[2011.06.17] LI CHEN ALMOST LOSES HIS VOICE

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

With almost 200 Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan film stars, BEGINNING OF THE GREAT REVIVAL did not lack young and new actors. They included Li Qin, Li Chen and Bai Bing. Li Chen and Bai Bing played May 4 Movement's two important figures Zhang Guotao and Huang Shuyi.

Li Chen in order to bring to life the May 4 nucleus leader Zhang Guotao spent a lot of time practicing complicated lines. For the major scene in which over 1000 actors waved banners and chanted, Li Chen almost lost his voice. During the shoot, Li Chen even became the joy of the set. He constantly brought endless laughter to them. The team even held a birthday party for him in Yuan Ming Yuan and bought him a panda hat at the gift shop for his birthday. Li Chen immediately put it on and joked that he was "Panda Man".

Bai Bing played Beijing University student Huang Shuyi. Although she was just a guest star, she already felt very luck to be a part of it. Her most memorable scene was the debate scene with Wang Leehom as a progressive student and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) as a Beijing University
professor. Their debate made her extra tense.

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Eason Chan Yik Shun, Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying), Bai Bing, Harlem Yu Ching Hing and others starred MR. & MRS. SINGLE (YUN FUN NAM NUI) will be released in Hong Kong Thursday. The film mostly shot on location in Beijing, director Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) and Eason both liked to eat. Often after work they went together to look for food. Eason was very excited when food was mentioned. He said, "We super love the local Peking Duck, almost everyday I have to have it."

In the film Eason and his superior Lau Yeuk Ying were on a business trip to Fujian. Everyone heard about the beautiful Tai Laoshan scenery so they shot there for a few days. The weather was great for a picnic. Milk Team said, "When shooting in a place with great scenery, all my troubles go away. Everyday we shot until very late so we couldn't enjoy the scenery. I remember my final shot, the scene in which I looked at the phone at the hotel. At the time the sun was about to rise and I already worked for an entire night. Right now my impression of the place was blurry because I truly was too tired!" Eason also liked the place very much, "Here is very quiet, it has a feeling of being far from all the hustle and bustle. Instantly my mind is clear, it's very comfortable!"

[2011.03.31] STIFF KISS BETWEEN BAI BING AND EASON CHAN

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

In the Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) film MR. & MRS. SINGLE (YUN FUN NAM NUI), Eason Chan Yik Shun and Bai Bing played a couple. They had many scenes together and were sweeter time after time.

In one scene Chan Yik Shun personally cooked steak for Bai Bing and cheered her up very much. Before the shoot, the director asked Eason and Bai Bing to release all the love and tenderness. The director left them to their own devices. Bai Bing attentively fixed Eason's collar and Eason sweetly accepted it. Finally the director was satisfied. Bai Bing was very nervous about this kiss scene with Eason due to inexperience with them. Although it was just a peck, Bai Bing was still somewhat stiff. The experienced Eason as the elder shared his knowledge with Bai Bing and eased her tension. Bai Bing said, "He taught me when the cameras rolled, I couldn't let my real identity affect my performance. If I imagined my co-star as someone I liked or a toy, then it would be very simple. Finally I imagined Eason to be a very cute doll at home and kissed him like I normally kissed it. I never expected for it to truly work."

[2011.03.23] ROMANCE IS A PAIN FOR EASON CHAN

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Eason Chan Yik Shun, Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) and Bai Bing starred romantic comedy MR. & MRS. SINGLE (YUN FUN NAM NUI) will open in Hong Kong on April 14. Although this is a romantic comedy that should be easier to make, Eason knew his own pain because the seemingly very easily handled dating scenes actually were painful beyond description.

In the film Eason and Bai Bing played a loving couple and constantly had to make sweet display. In one scene they were at the market and they were flirting and feeding each other. The director asked Bai Bing fed orange to Eason, but the orange was unusually sour and had to swallow. For Eason who never liked sourness it was even worse, but the professional Eason did not complain and did not mind several more takes for the director to choose from.

In another scene Eason carried Bai Bing down a busy city street, but Eason went back and forth over ten times. With the temperature reaching 40 degrees Celsius, he had a tough time in a suit. Visiting fans immediately brought his towels and ice water. Bai Bing also said with embarrassment, "Two days before the shoot I already didn't eat much, but that day was truly too hot. Luckily he was in good shape. After resting awhile he was as active as he usually was!"

The entire film costs HK$200 million. Because Ting Fung was also nominated for Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, would this award make him look forward to the Hong Kong Film Award more? He said, "If you say I am not looking forward to it, then I am lying to you again; but that's not important, I don't think about it anymore." As for Andy Lau Tak Wa picking him as the Best Actor favorite, Ting Fung thanked him. Ting Fung denied rumors that Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi invested in a home product store. "Don't believe that, it's made up." As for a third child, Ting Fung said, "That depends on when Heaven would give it to us. Now both children are great. Lucas is very convincing at the drums and stronger than me when I was little."

The other figure in focus Lam Fung was asked about the bed photo scandal. He honestly said that he has always wanted to be in love. He wanted to publicize that relationship because never thought that it would be done with photo scandal. From now on he will be more cautious and work harder. Did he feel that he would used? [2011.03.18] BAI BING BLUSHES IN WEDDING PHOTO WITH EASON CHAN

courtesy of singtao.com

The Emperor distributed romance YUN FUN NAM NUI (SECRET MARRIAGE MAN WOMN) is Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) directed. The cast includes Eason Chan Yik Shun, Best Actress Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying) and Bai Bing as well as a special performance by Harlem Yu Ching Hing. The film will open in Hong Kong on April 14. As for the title hints, the subject is "secret marriage". In other words two people are married but deliberately hide their married status. In the film Chan Yik Shun and Bai Bing are a secretly married couple.

Although it was their first collaboration, they did not have time to get to know each other before Yip Lim Sun threw them into a wedding photo shoot on their first day of work. As the director, Chan Yik Shun and Bai Bing communicated, the always mischievous Chan Yik Shun suggested shooting an unusual wedding photo series that would be memorable for the audience. "The normal wedding photos are nothing new. Since we are happy rivals, we should have more mischievous elements." The director liked his suggestion very much. "Chan Yik Shun is an actor who is full of ideas. He loves to have exchanges with people around him, this way he can very easily make the whole thing even more perfect." The wedding photo shoot that was expected to take all day only took three hours. The mischievous Eason even made over 100 cute expressions and poses, which made all the workers on the set very happy as he thoroughly displayed his comedy genes.

During the shoot, Bai Bing's face was often in a deep shade of pink and looked somewhat awkward. At first the director thought it was a make up issue, but later Bai Bing said that she was an Eason fan and the truth came out. Bai Bing excitedly said like a little fan, "I have always liked to watch his movies and listen to his songs, so I have longed to work with him one day. Later I learned that in the film I would play his wife, I was so happy that I couldn't sleep. Just now I already tried to suppress my emotions, but I couldn't control my face from naturally blushing."

Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin spent half a year to prepare for the Emperor new film YIK JIN (REVERSE WAR), which has been scheduled officially for departure on February 6th for Jordan. Lead actors have finally been confirmed as Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun) and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung who will play brothers. The story will involve an international mystery and a search for family in order to be freshness of sensory stimulation and drama to the audience. Reportedly, Director Lam is still looking hard for the villain. Currently he has already begun contact with Korean stars Jung Woo-Sung and Lee Byung-Hun. Mainland actress Bai Bing will be one of the lead actresses. With the over HK$200 million record breaking Hong Kong film budget, the film already has anticipation before the production even began.

Director Lam wanted to bring the Persian Gulf war back to life for viewers. Speaking of this HK$150 million opening scene, Director Lam excitedly said, "Production will officially begin around February 25 and shoot for at least nine days. The location was the Hollywood film THE HURT LOCKER's location. We asked HURT's workers to help. The team will have around 160 people, the biggest in my film career. Hopefully everything will go well!" Director Lam earlier met with Ting Fung for three hours. Actually he was asking Ting Fung to make almost half a year's time for the shoot. Reportedly, multiple Best Actor award winner Nick Cheung Ka Fai originally agreed to guest star but due to scheduling conflict he was unable to. Director Lam already hinted that next year he will have an important project with Ka Fai.

It will be Emperor's major "return" to Hong Kong film market, a small rebound for the shrinking local film industry in recent years. YIK has already been confirmed for an end of the year release and has intention to gauge its heat at Cannes and Venice Film Festival.

[2010.11.18] ANDY LAU AND NICHOLAS TSE COMPETE WITH ONLINE PHOTOS

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Director Benny Chan Muk Sing's film SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) will be released next year. Emperor recently posted photos of leads Andy Lau Tak Wa, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Fan Bingbing, Jackie Chan, Wu Jing, Yu Shaoqun, Bai Bing and others for a preview. They have become popular with visitors who proceeded to vote for their favorites. Wa Jai and Ting Fung had the most support. The photos not only captured their "cool" side but also clearly expressed the actors' personalities. Behind each photo was a small story. Ting Fung was the saddest. In the photo he looked heroic on a horse, but personally he was allergic to horses. He had to take drugs every time before the shoot.

Chan Muk Sing said, "Actually we want to through this group of photos bring some freshness to viewers first. In particular we want to express Wa Jai and Ting Fung's before and after, good and evil extreme feelings in the film, and to experience the atmosphere of zen and martial art in one." The film company also considered turning the online favorites into a calendar, a book, or a postcard.

[2010.11.13] EASON CHAN AND BAI BING IMITATE TITANIC

courtesy of singtao.com

Eason Chan Yik Shun recently worked on his new film YUN FUN NAM NUI (SECRET MARRIAGE COUPLE) with Rene Liu (Lau Yeuk Ying), Harlem Yu Ching Hing and others. Two days ago Eason and the film's Mainland star Bai Bing worked on a wedding gown scene. He even changed his usually humorous ways as he was serious and full of warmth during the shoot.
However Eason still could not help but make fun on the set as he suddenly knelt and proposed to Bai Bing. When they posed in front of a sunset background, Eason deliberately spread his arms out as Bai Bing tightly embraced him from behind. They immediately imitated the classic romance TITANIC's classic pose.
