Hello Film Fans and Fanatics!

Welcome to Film Fan Fridays for Friday August 27, 2010!

In limited release this week we have lots of films to choose from, starting with the compelling looking film from Todd Solondz Life During Wartime with a ridiculously impressive cast with everyone from Paul Reubens to Charlotte Rampling to Ciarán Hinds to Allison Janney. I'm quite surprized to see Rob Reiner's latest film Flipped is out just in limited release. I'm very curious to see like very Toronto set No Heart Feelings, watching the trailer was fun to see places like Kensington Market included. We have two documentaries this week with Teenage Paparazzo which was in Toronto earlier this year at Hot Docs and The Tillman Story, a documentary on Pat Tillman. Last up for limited releases is the Saturday August 28 release of likely the conceptually gross film of the year The Human Centipede (First Sequence).

In wide release this week we have the documentary style exorcism film The Last Exorcism starring Patrick Fabian and Ashley Bell, action/heist film Takers and Avatar: Special Edition, a re-issue of the film 8 minutes of additional footage. Then mid-next week we have the first September release of the year with George Clooney in The American from director Anton Corbijn (Control) which comes out on Wednesday September 1, 2010.
