Let's have a look at what is new and notable this week in the land of Twilight.
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke to be honoured by Women in Film at the 2009 Crystal + Lucy Awards with the Dorothy Arzner Directors Award. Ceremony will be held June 12, 2009. Congratulations Catherine! Also confirmed for Catherine Hardwicke signed on for upcoming projects If I Stay and Maximum Ride (IMDb Link).

The book "Maximum Ride" by James Patterson is already on my 'to read' and I'm really looking forward to checking it out. Anyone read either of the novels & have thoughts to share?
Kellan Lutz appears to be confirmed as the character Dean in the A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot (IMDb Link) anticipated for release in 2010. With so many horror remakes on the go it's not a huge surprize to see this 80s classic rehashed for the big screen. The film will be directed by Samual Bayer and primary roles go to Jackie Earle Hayley (Watchmen) as Freddy Kruegar, Rooney Mara as Nancy. Further casting includes the impressive Kyle Gallner (Red, The Haunting in Connecticut) and Thomas Dekker.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow May 12/09 for all the Michael Sheen fans. He's also an active twitter-er, be sure to follow him for fun twitter updates and pics.
