[2009.03.06] JACKIE CHAN NAMED ASIAN GAMES PROMOTIONAL AMBASSADOR

On June 1, the Guangzhou Asian Games committee, the China Film Group, Hong Kong Great Faith Company held at the Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse Guangzhou Asian Game promotional ambassador certificate present and Asian Game film press conference. Internationally renowned film star Jackie Chan officially became the "Asian Game promotional ambassador" to assist with elevating the Asian Games brand influence. At the same time the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Game film project was officially launched.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou Asian Games and the Guangzhou municipal government Gu Shiyang thanked Jackie Chan for his active participation in the Asian Games, which would further benefit the promotion of the Guangzhou Asian Games' purposes, ideals and goals, delivery of people of China, Guangdong and Guangzhou's friendship to people of Asia with more understanding of China. Jackie Chan expressed, the "Asian Games promotional ambassador" was not only a honor but a mission. He would spare no effort to promote the Asian Games.

The production company revealed, famous Hong Kong director Jingle Ma Chor Sing will direct the Asian Game film, famous musician Chiu Tsang Hei will create the film's score. The film will gather top actors from three lands on both sides of the strait as well as Asia, with Asian Game ambassador and star athletes as possible guest stars. The film will be the first Asian Games film in history and will represent the Guangzhou Asian Games promotion's important innovation. This film's subject and background will be the Guangzhou Asian Game planning. It will as a feature film fully display the 16th Annual Asian Games host city Guangzhou's energy and the Langnan cultural charisma. It will be expected to be Guangzhou Asian Games' valuable cultural inheritance. The film will be released in the summer of 2010 simultaneously in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, South America,North America, and Europe.
