For BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS, producer Chan Ho Sun built a 1905 Hong Kong central set in Shanghai. The film has reached its final stage of production. Earlier actors Tse Ting Fung and Mainland actress Li Yuchun celebrated the birthday of the film's cinematographer Wong Ngok Tai and Tai Gor was all smiles. The team prepared 3 cakes and after work they celebrated with Tai Gor. After the shoot, Li Yuchun gave Tai Gor a hug before even dressing. Director Teddy Chan Tak Sum, action director Stephen Tung Wai and the team sang the birthday song together.
Tse Ting Fung once worked with Wong Ngok Tai on GEN X COPS (DUT GAING SUN YUN LUI). At the birthday party he even played the guest host, which touched Wong Ngok Tai. He even found firecrackers and personally lit it without any regard for his personal safety. Director Chan Tak Sum said it was not fun enough so Tse Ting Fung found an even longer strand. This time after igniting it, Tse Ting Fung stood in front of it and led everyone in saying, "Tai Gor Happy Birthday!"
In addition, Leung Ka Fai during the shoot accidentally fell and tore his kneecap tendon, but he still insisted on working with the injury. That day Ka Fai fell on the edge of stones. At the time Leung Ka Fai thought it was a sprain, but the next day his kneecap was swollen. When he went to the hospital he learned that the kneecap tendon was torn, which scared everyone.
