New Moon Mondays: 2010 Calendar, Red Riding Hood and 30+ Days of Night

New Moon Calendar
I normally don't write about 'stuff' but I couldn't resist taking a few snapshots of the 2010 New Moon Calendar when I was at my local bookstore. There are some great pictures for it, but I have to ask: Why isn't Bella on the front? Even if she is on 5 of the 12 month pics... the cover is all Cullens, all the time!

Catherine Hardwicke to direct The Girl with the Red Riding Hood
Even though Catherine Hardwicke isn't at the helm of New Moon she does have an upcoming project with werewolves involved, based on Little Red Riding Hood. An IMDb Page has been set up but currently info on it is scarce but it appears we have until 2012 for this one with many other projects of Catherine Hardwicke's to look forward to until then including Hamlet starring Emile Hirsch and Maximum Ride based on the James Patterson series.

30 Days of Night sequel
Not too much more info other that this project is in development. The films IMDb page is so scarce that it doesn't even have a title but is rather noted as Untitled 30 Days of Night Sequel. Should we help them along? 31 Days of Night? 30 Days of Sun? 30 Days of Day? The Day After the Day it Ended? Arctic Blood? Possibilities are endless! The original 30 Days of Night was directed by David Slade, the director of the third Twilight instalment: Eclipse to be released June 30, 2010.

I Want Some More: Vampathon
The Vampathon continues and the latest film reviewed was the classic Dracula from 1931, starring Bela Lugosi and directed by Tod Browning. This is one of my all time favourite vampire films as the Dracula character is a great combination of bizarre as well as charming, and the tone of the film has a great classic haunting quality. Next up in the Vampathon is the Canadian quirkly vampire film Blood & Donuts which will be reviewed this Wednesday September 9, 2009.
