The film CROSSING HENNESSY (YUET MOON HIN NEI SI) two nights ago held its premiere. Director Ivy Ho (Ong Sai) led actors Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Tang Wei, Maggie Cheung Ho Yi, Paw Hee Ching and Lowell Lo Koon Ting in attendance. Hok Yau who rarely made bed scenes this time not only had one with Cheung Ho Yi but also had to show one point.
Hok Yau explained that actually it was not considered a bed scene, Ho Yi who played his former girlfriend was acting in bed with him. He said, "Cheung Ho Yi couldn't show too much, so I showed!" Tang Wei who had many passionate bed scenes with Tony Leung Chiu Wai in LUST CAUTION this time instead had no bed scene with Hok Yau. Did his wife May Lo Mei Mei disapprove any bed scene with Tang Wei? Hok Yau said, "My wife wouldn't ask who I have intimate scenes with. (After marriage do you have reservation about intimate scenes?) No, if after reading the script I feel it is accept, and I have the guts to take it, then I have the guts to make it." Would he permit his daughters to watch his movie? He expressed that they would be filtered first. For example DAYS OF BEING DUMB (AH FEI YU AH GEI) he would only show them parts and not the entire movie, but comedy like SISTER CUPID (TIN CHI LEUNG YUEN) they could watch in its entirety. He and his wife starred in DEVOTED TO YOU (CHI SUM DIK NGOR) had bed scenes, would he show it to his daughters? He expressed that he would wait until after they grow up, then he would show them how their parents met.
With Tang Wei's Mainland ban lifted, CROSSING can be released next month in the Mainland. Will Hok Yau need to promote in the Mainland with Tang Wei? He expressed that so far he still has not been notified. Tang Wei did not directly respond and only said that actors would like everyone to like every one of their jobs. This was her first Hong Kong film. She would wait for the company's arrangement. She also looked forward to it.
