Raymond Lam Fung, Joey Yung Cho Yi, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin and comedy expert Wong Cho Nam in the new film THE JADE AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU) will develop a four sided romance. Although Joey is a music queen, she could not tempt Lam Fung. She said, "In the film I played a bandit king who had to keep a group of bandits. I ran into the general Lam Fung, his heroics got my interest but his heart was with the princess Ah Sa!"

Lam Fung this time had intimate scenes with Ah Sa and Joey. Joey even revealed that Lam Fung was "ordered" to kiss Ah Sa passionate. During the shoot Ng Yu visited the Beijing set but after watching the play back he thought it was not passionate enough and asked them to try again! Lam Fung honestly said that the first passionate scene was shot in Hong Kong, but after editing it was not spot on, so the kiss had to be bigger. Finally this "kiss of the century" was a minute long. However with countless films under her belt, Ah Sa revealed that her most memorable kiss scene was with Andy Lau Tak Wa and not Lam Fung. However she added, "The most memorable was Wa Jai, but this time Lam Fung is the best!" Joey honestly said that she was envious of Ah Sa because she too wanted to get intimate with Wa Jai.

The film company stated that all four leads have applied for the Golden Horse awards and the Hong Kong Film awards. Earlier winning the Puchon Film Festival Best Actress, Ah Sa said that she had no pressure. Instead Lam Fung who starred in STOLEN LOVE (BIT LUEN) over ten years ago claimed that he still had a chance to compete for Best New Actress. As for his first comedy, Lam Fung thought it was very fresh. He not only had to thank the leads but also Lam Suet, Tats Lau Yi Tat and others, because their constant improvisations created a lot of chemistry. Alex Man Chi Leung also taught him how to act. He praised the veterans were very nice people!
