DVD Releases for November 16, 2010

Time to look at the DVDs hitting the shelves this week on Tuesday November 16, 2010.

First up we have a trio of international thrillers that are (and in one case at least looks...) creepy. First up is the very creepy Danish thriller Fear Me Not / Den du frygter Starring Ulrich Thomsen and Paprika Steen, then we have the French horror/myster Don't Look Back starring Sophie Marceau and Monica Bellucci and getting a bit more wildcard-y is the German mystery The Door starring Mads Mikkelsen. Pretty stellar selection already!

If you are feeling more like a giggle we have comedies this week too with The Extra Man starring Paul Dano and Kevin Kline, Japanese splatter horror Robogeisha and getting the leg up on the holidays with the comedy Coopers' Christmas.

We also have some super-dooper-edition-mania this week with Avatar (Three-Disc Extended Collector's Edition), Disney's A Christmas Carol - 4-Disc Edition, although my pick for special editions this week would be The Night of the Hunter on Criterion.

Checking out the small screen in collection form, for TV on DVD this week brings up the East Coast set Canadian series Republic of Doyle Season 1.

Also starting to see more summer theatre titles hit their bring home version with releases of The Last Airbender, Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore and Lottery Ticket.
