Time to have a look at the DVD releases for this week on Tuesday November 9, 2010.
The biggie of the week I woudl gander to be the geek chic/action/comedy/romance and Toronto-set Scott Pilgrim vs. the World from Edgar Wright. My pick of the action flick Hunt to Kill starring Steve Austin set in Texas but has a very sneakily similar appearance to BC. We also have the fantastic documentary Zombie Girl: The Movie that follows a then 12-year old filmmaker and the DVD also includes her zombie film Pathogen! We also have the very funny family drama The Kids are All Right (US release date: Nov 16, 2010) starring Julianne Moore, Annette Benning and mark Ruffalo.
This week also sees the release of inspired by true lives of brother owners in Love Ranch, the highly controversial Antichrist with a regular and Criterion release, supernatural-themed drama Charlie St. Cloud starring Zac Efron, Canadian film Act of Dishonour, documentary Jean-Michel Basquiat: Radiant Child and romance Lovely, Still.
TV on DVD this week has a distinctly British tone to it with the very well received new BBC Series Sherlock: Season One along with Doctor Who Season 5 (aka 1st season with Matt Smith) and The Tudors - Fourth and Final Season.
We also have the comedy Grown Ups and family friendly Romana & Beezus.
