Yesterday according to U. S. media reports, American film company Well Go has already successfully purchased the North American distribution rights to the Jackie Chan's 100th film 1911 (XINHAI REVOLUTION) and planned to release it simultaneously in China and North America in September. This year is the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution and the film 1911 is also Jackie Chan's 100th film as an actor.
1911 is about how Dr. Sun Yat-Sen led revolutionaries to overturn the Manchurian Qing government to found the Republic of China. In the film Jackie Chan plays the patriotic leader Huang Xing, while Winston Chao plays Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Well Go film company chief yesterday said that he was very honored to be able to 1911's North American distributor. The reason the company purchased the film was because the film's historical meaning and Jackie Chan's 100th film.
