Wasao means "furry". In the town of Ajigasawa, Aomori, the loving
Setsuko and her husband run a small roasted squid shop and spend their
time taking care of stray dogs. One day, Setsuko discovers a stray
Akita that looks like a little lion with a white mane, dumb looking but
lovable. Setsuko because of its style and might names it Wasao; but
Wasao always appears quietly and vanishes silently, which baffles
Setsuko. Setsuko is curious about Wasao, at the same time wild
animals have been destroying crops in the village. The hunter who is
responsible for capturing the wild animal suspects that the matter is
related to Wasao......

Ah Jat, Dog, and Siufey are two "modern young men" with different
identities and interests. They each in different corners of Hong Kong
live their ordinary lives. Their biggest commonality is that they are
all "bachelors" who have been single for a long time but still long for
love.
They meet at a city mental illness forum and get along famously. They
feel that they are all losers on the road of love. At Eric Tsang Chi
Wai's urging they are determined to encounter true love in Hainan
together.
When they arrive in Hainan they do not expect to run into a series of
bad luck, but the optimistic trio never gives up. At the trio's lowest,
they each run into the goddesses of their hearts, Yiyi, Carol, and Yumi.
