[2010.06.01] ZHANG GUOLI SHOWS SUPPORT AT GALLANTS' BEIJING PROMOTION

GALLANTS (DA LUI TOI) yesterday held its press conference in Beijing. Executive producer Andy Lau Tak Wa along with producer Lam Ka Tung, director Derek Kwok Chi Kin, actors Leung Siu Lung, Chen Kuan Tai, Teddy Robin Kwan, Wong Yau Nam, MC Jin (Auyeung Ching), JJ Jia (Ga Hiu Sun) attended. Mainland directors Zhang Guoli and Ning Hao came in support.

Lau Tak Wa of course spared no energy to promote the film and even boasted that in the film from its beginning to its end a group of veteran actors got together and set of a lot of sparks on the set. Lam Ka Tung and Lau Wa Tak played rock, scissors and paper to make up teams, Lau Tak Wa, Teddy Robin, MC Jin and others performed the GALLANTS theme song to send the atmosphere to its peak. Reporters got more than what they bargained for as they all said that this press conference was the most fun one that they have attended in 2010.

Guests Zhang Guoli and Ning Hao also kept how to stir up a crowd. Ning Hao said, "This film has the youngest director, veteran actors with the most potential on comebacks, the most influential executive producer's investment, its box office needs not to be worried about." When asked as the anticipation of Ning Hao's current boss Zhang Guoli for former boss Lau Tak Wa's new investment and his own status, Zhang Guoli said, "The former boss' movies are already big hits, the current boss' movie still hasn't been approved."

Lau Tak Wa expressed that he liked the nostalgic poster design. When someone questioned whether the creators and Lau Tak Wa had any generation gap due to age, he expressed, "One day I will be old too. I hope everyone will still go to the movies to support me when I will be
old." When someone asked about concerns of the box office during the World Cup, Lau Tak Wa said, "World Cup has no box office, I definitely have a higher one than it."
