Looks like there is more where from where the dragon came from. I actually love the above poster for The Girl Who Played with Fire / Flickan som lekte med elden, the second in the Millenium or Men Who Hate Women trilogy based on the books by Stieg Larsson. Although I will continue to say that the first film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo / Män som hatar kvinnor, is easy to praise yet hard to recommend, I don't think I'll be able to stay away from the trilogy due to the high quality film making we've seen so far. This film stars Noomi Rapace & Michael Nyqvist, and is directed by Daniel Alfredson whom also directs the third film in the trilogy The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest / Luftslottet som sprängdes.
I saw the poster out and about on Wednesday and it has 'July' noted for release, which is the first date I've seen for it. Now,... can I make it through the books by then? That is the question. See more about the film at it's IMDb Page.
An English remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is set for 2012 and to be directed by David Fincher (Fight Club). Lots of rumours on casting but so far including Carey Mulligan and Kristen Stewart as Lisbeth, and Brad Pitt as Mikael, but so far it's still in the rumour stage.
Update: The Girl Who Played with Fire appears to have a July 9, 2010 release date
