Toronto After Dark Film Festival 2010: Passes on Sale!

I know you've all been anxiously awaiting to hear about this years Toronto After Dark Film Festival which this year will be hitting the Bloor Cinema August 13 - 20,2010. The festival is in their fifth year and we now only have 2 months to wait before we can experience all the craziness. But, the party can get started now as their All Access Pass went on sale in the wee hours last night and is $139, with a special price for the first 100 sold being only $119. They are only selling 200 all access passes, and they sell out every year. Passes get you into all 17 screenings and with them you have priority access in line. Find out more on the passes here.



The next thing I'm looking forward to hearing about is the actual film titles! But, hold your horses as there isn't any news there yet - we'll be waiting to hear until July 21, 2010 for the complete line up and schedule of fantastic films this year. The Key Dates & Info page does make a note to zombie pricing for the zombie night double bill, so we know the undead will be crawling around for a night! If you are holding out for single ticketness, they also go on sale on July 21, 2010.



Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of my favourite festivals that we have here in Toronto. They have the most enthusiastic and zombie-friendly crowds, and have brought us amazing genre films over the years. Last years highlights include the utterly hilarious blaxploitation homage Black Dynamite, charming and witty vampire film Strigoi, fan favourite anthology film Trick 'r Treat and everyone's favourite zombie baby film Grace. These films add to the ranks of previous years titles Let the Right One In / Låt den rätte komma in, Chilean martial arts flick Mirageman, cult sensation Repo! The Genetic Opera, and the one and only Uwe Boll's In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.



Who knows what horror, sci-fi, action and cult film the festival will bring us this year? I know I'm not the only one who will be counting down the days until July 21, 2010 when we'll find out.
