The Emperor Motion Picture VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) cost almost 200 million yuan and was shot in Malaysia and Jordan.  The film gathered stars like Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Lin Peng, Bai Bing and Andy On Chi Kit.  The production team earlier headed to Malaysia's "Mongkok of Kuala Lumpur" golden triangle Jalan Raja Chulan.  With the full support of the Malay government, the team not only had road blocks two days in a row for a chase scene and an explosion but also police officers and many police vehicles to assist with pedestrian and traffic.  Ambulances and fire engines were also on hand.

The shoot took place on a Kuala Lumpur holiday.  Many fans and Malaysians already grabbed a good spot early in the morning.  During the official shoot, Keung Ho Man with a bulletproof vest and Ting Fung with a smoke grenade launcher traversed between vehicles as Chow Kit Lun followed them closely.  They fired shots at each other and finally even fought hand to hand.  The gun shots made onlookers scream in fright.  Many also applauded their exciting fight scene.  Unfortunately working under the heat of Kuala Lumpur, only the three of them knew their own pain.

In addition, the giant explosion scene on this street was also a major scene.  After the explosion fire erupted and reached four stories high.  The explosion could be heard several blocks away, onlookers were stunned.  Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin appreciated the local government's support very much and at the same time lamented that he had no chance to shoot such a scene on the streets of Hong Kong.  "Although now Hong Kong film production conditions and coordination are already well matched, in comparison to Malay, Hong Kong still has many restrictions.  I definitely cannot possibly shoot such a gun fight or explosion with a Nathan Road road block because the entire Kowloon would collapse, but this time I am able to do so in Malaysia."
