To start the month off, here is some film news, interesting articles and announcements.

Bruce McDonald's latest film Pontypool slated for Feb 14, 2009 release date in Canada according to the ecw news.

Interview with Wayne Coyne, director of Christmas on Mars over at IFC.com the film recently opened in New York. Check out the trailer over at Twitch, it's one of the wildest things I've seen.

imagineNATIVE has launched a new website, including the schedule for the 2008 film festival which runs from October 15-19, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Bloor Cinema has their schedule up for October! They have a bunch of fun stuff with month including classic scary films on at 4pm from Oct 20-23/08 like Carnival of Souls and House on Haunted Hill (with Vincent Price). October 30/08 has the one and only Bubba Ho-Tep (see schedule change on main page) and on Halloween they are showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show (twice!) and Army of Darkness.
