The 22nd Annual Tokyo International Film Festival's China Film Week unveiled yesterday. Eight films including THE FOUNDING OF A REPUBLIC, FOREVER ENTHRALLED, IF YOU ARE THE ONE will be screened. WHEAT's female lead Fan Bingbing looked great in a Valentino spring evening gown, while Vicki Zhao Wei, Chen Kun and Jaycee Chan (Fong Cho Ming) represented the only not yet completed film HUA MULAN. HUA two days ago already held its press conference in Japan and received passionate support from Japanese fans. Zhao Wei compared to the character to Joan of Arc. Playing her lower and friend, Chen Kun and Fong Cho Ming fought to be the most important man behind the lady. Zhao Wei felt that both were very important. HUA MULAN was not only a romance but also described a variety of emotions. The parting scene with Cho Ming was quite tear jerking.

Chen Kun revealed that the relationship with Zhao Wei was not all smooth sailing as he was stuck between two women. He also revealed that the film had many fight scenes. Director Jingle Ma Chor Sing praised his fighting; Cho Ming mainly had dramatic scenes. Cho Ming said that his mother confirmed the film for him. In the end he already fell for the character and elevated his acting. He joked that when he used to act he usually would not use his eyes because they were small; this time he asked the director to remind him to use his eyes more and expressions less. He was able to do so and hoped that the audience could see it.

Reportedly the cast and crew will promote in November in the U.S. in hopes of good performance in North America.

In competition, SNOWFALL IN TAIPEI yesterday held a press conference. Leads Chen Bolin and Tong Yao appeared together.
