Ah, if only NBC didn't have to program against those darn competitors all the time...
NBC: With repeats on every other network, the Peacock was able to garner a narrow win under its tree, even though its own ratings weren't exactly tinsel and glitter: 1.8 for the continuing run of WHO'S STILL STANDING? (which lost its hour to a CBS rerun) and 2.1 for an SNL compilation repeat (which only won its final hour). Still, a win is a win.
CBS: Its repeats won at 8PM, tied at 9PM and came in 2d at 10PM. Damn that UNFORGETTABLE!
ABC: None of its repeats scored better than a 1.6, and BODY OF PROOF was particularly egregious with a 0.8 at 10PM.
FOX: GLEE, NEW GIRL and RAISING HOPE reruns couldn't do better than a 1.1 all evening.
CW: Hey, their repeats did better than the HBO-renewed Enlightened!
Tonight's major event on the broadcast networks is the first part of X FACTOR's season finale, followed by a new I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER (not such an event). Apart from that, the only original programming will come at 8PM, when CBS airs a Martina McBride holiday special and NBC continues the run of Who's Still Standing? The buzz magnet for the night, though, will be on cable, where FX airs the season finale of the bizarre, often outright insane AMERICAN HORROR STORY, and we'll find out if any of the regular cast members survive as living humans to Season 2. (Although no one can kill Jessica Lange.)
