NBC won the night with the NFL Pro Bowl, a mere tune-up to the real numbers it will post when the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.

NBC aired the NFL Pro Bowl from 7-11 pm last night and scored a preliminary 3.7 rating with Adults 18-49. Because it was live to all time zones, the rating will probably rise to about a 4.1, below last year's Pro Bowl on FOX (4.7 official rating). Last night's game peaked at a 4.5 at 7:30 and ended at a 2.6 at 10:30. A halftime tie turned into an AFC blowout in the second half in what is traditionally the worst major sports league all-star game (when the rules are changed to completely protect the offense and no one really play hard at all). Of course, next week a real football game played, Super Bowl Sunday on NBC (and in case you haven't heard, Smash premieres the following night).
