Sylvia Chang (Cheung Ngai Ga), Joseph Cheng Yuen Cheung, David Wang Yiu Hing, and director Edward Lam Yik Wa yesterday attended the play DESIGN FOR LIVING press conference. The play will have a ten show run in Hong Kong between the 15th and the 24th. This will be its third run in Hong Kong. Cheung Ngai Ga played Cheng Yuen Cheung's stage performance as decent and they had chemistry. Thus she was interested in turning the show into a musical with Cheng Yuen Cheung as the lead actor. She expressed that the screenplay preparation is already underway. She is looking for song writers and the production will not start until next year at the soonest. She will produce, write and act. The film will cut out some characters because the film will only be 2 hours long.

As for the director, she would like to hire Johnnie To Kei Fung. Earlier he came to the show and rather enjoyed it. She also has mentioned the film adaptation to Ah To, who expressed an interest. After the songs are written she will approach Ah To. Cheung Ngai Ga has worked with Ah To and Chow Yun Fat on ALL ABOUT AH LONG and EIGHT HAPPINESS, will she invite Fat Gor? Cheung Ngai Ga said that the role of Chung Ping was very suitable for Fat Gor, but she did not know whether he would be willing to participate.

Cheng Yuen Cheung was happy about the third run in Hong Kong. He never expected the show to run for 80 shows, so now every show he had to work even harder. This time may even add singing portions. The director would permit them to perform freely depending on the audience response. Perhaps he might improvise and roll around on the ground. As for Cheung Ngai Ga's film adaptation with him as the lead, Cheng Yuen Cheung expressed that he was not certain. If he would truly have a part he would definitely make time even with a scheduling conflict.
