The film 72 TENANTS OF PROSPERITY (72 GA JO HAT) will be released in the Mainland on February 11. The film earlier held a music video premiere, with Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Angela Tong Ying Ying and Wong Cho Nam in attendance. Wong Chung Chak expressed that he worked on this film mainly because Chi Wai has not directed in a long time. Chi Wai said that he truly did not have the time. Not only was he the Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild president but also the Hong Kong Film Award Association vice chair, he truly could not be everywhere at once.
Chi Wai was just elected to be the PAG president. He expressed that originally this year Andy Lau Tak Wa would have been the president, but Wa Jai said that he was too busy and would have to wait two more years. Was Wa Jai not the president because of last year's "marriage scandal"? Chi Wai immediately said, "How could that be possible?" He said that if Wa Jai was willing he definitely would be the president. He got the most vote but he turned it down. He expressed that now the first task was to settle on a guild location. Because the fund were all donated during disaster relief, he hoped that this year would have less tragedy.
Chi Wai also hoped to find a successor among the young people. He felt Nicholas Tse Ting Fung was decent. As long as he would not give himself too much pressure he definitely would be better. Tsang Chi Wai also said that Edison Chen Koon Hei was also a good actor. He looked forward to his return because the younger generation needed someone with his experience. He believed that the previous troubles would help his acting a lot.
He said, Chen Koon Hei gave people a self-centered impression. Now he has experienced so much he should not disappoint. As for the "sex photo scandal" negative impact, Chi Wai believed that time would ease everything. Chen Koon Hei's view would be the most important. He knew
that Chen Koon Hei indeed had an actual comeback plan, but for now he did not want to be an actor. He would like to start behind the scenes.
