Shannon's Definition of Sword & Sandals Films: Films that includes someone wielding a sword and wearing sandals, but also includes gladiator & Greek mythology as well as historically set epic adventurous and biopics set in the Greco-Roman period. They are easy to pick out, but are a micro-genre that tend to fall under the home genres of action, adventure, historical, fantasy or biopic.
