DVD Releases: January 19, 2010

It's Tuesday which means it's DVD release day! Let's have a look at the releases for today, Tuesday January 19, 2010!

First up is the Canadian drama Cairo Time starring Patricia Clarkson and Alexander Siddig, which won the Best Canadian Feature Film at TIFF'09 and is a 2009 Canada Top Ten selection. Next up is the highly acclaimed Che which receives a Criterion edition release. Not new but certainly interesting is the 2004 film Nobody Knows from Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-reda (Still Walking / Aruitemo aruitemo, Air Doll / Kûki ningyô). Also in release is the documentary Outrage and Kate Beckinsale Antarctica set action thriller Whiteout.

TV
Two series getting the DVD treatment include the Canadian crime drama "Durham County" Season 1 and Sci Fi drama "Defying Gravity" Season 1.

Blu Ray
Hitting Blu Ray this week is Paul Thomas Anderson's 1997 Boogie Nights starring Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore and Burt Reynolds.

You've Heard of 'em titles this week include Gamer and The Invention of Lying along with sequel to Smokin' Aces - Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins Ball.
