Chow Yun Fat yesterday arrived in Taiwan to promote the film CONFUCIUS. Also in attendance was co-star Ren Quan. Fat Gor talked about his CONFUCIUS experience. He pointed out that for any character he took a learning approach and even humbly claimed that everyone was his teacher. Taiwan was also the final stop of CONFUCIUS' promotional tour. Fat Gor felt that in comparison to China and Hong Kong, Taiwan understood more about Confucius.

Ren Quan yesterday was asked about working with Fat Gor. Ren Quan joked that when he first saw Fat Gor in all his superstar glory, he forgot his lines. Fat Gor pointed out that he did not proper study and only had acting experience, which he would like to pass on and felt was his responsibility to. Ren Quan honestly said that he respected Confucius very much. His motto was was, "A basket of rice, a gourd dipper of beverage, in a shack, a person cannot bear his concern, but the joy remains unchanged." Fat Gor joked, "Thank you teacher, can you explain that to me?" The audience cracked up.

Yesterday former co-star Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun) also sent Fat Gor a floral arrangement. Fat Gor joked, "If anyone knows who his current girlfriend is, please tell me." Fat Gor and his wife Jasmine Chan Wui Ling have been without a child after years together. Fat Gor sighed and said, "Now my heart is in it but I don't have the energy to." when asked whether he was "impotent", Fat Gor immediately explained that it was not a physical problem. He just did not want a child to tire him out. He pointed out that on stage interviews already gave him a lot of pressure. He felt that an artist's next generation was very sad. When the son goes for piano lessons the paparazzi follow. Thus he would rather suffer alone and spare the child. Later, he joked with reporters if they could sign a contract to only shoot him in the future and not his child.
