The Pang Ho Cheung directed, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred film LOVE IN A PUFF (CHI MING YU CHUN GIU) wrapped before the Lunar New Year and is set for a March 25 release. Earlier the director along with the cast and crew had Lunar New Year dinner. Mrs. Ting even gave laisee to the crew.
The crew kept congratulating Chin Wa and joked that she had to give double or even triple. Chin Wa laughed and ran for cover as she almost fell on the floor; finally she gave to all comers and even said that giving laisee was a very joyous act. Being able to give laisee was her fortune so she never resisted. Chin Wa also wished Lok Jai a marriage soon so next year he could give double laisee to her. Lok Jai helplessly said, "How can I be as fortunate as you, Mrs. Ting......no one wants me." Chin Wa immediately told him to catch up.
Chin Wa and Lok Jai in the film played a couple. They while smoking in the alley cooked up a real relationship. During the shoot Chin Wa everyday had to smoke five packs of cigarette. Because she was not a smoker and had asthma, halfway through the shoot every part of her head had infections. She had to treat them with both Chinese and Western medicine, what a sacrifice she made! Although Lok Jai was a smoker, he smoked the most in this movie so he could not take it anymore. He even suggested to anyone who would like to quit smoking could try keep smoking nonstop. During the shoot he truly could not tolerate smoking anymore, thus after work he did not smoke a single cigarette.
In the film, Chin Wa and Lok Jai were in an older woman, young man relationship. Chin Wa honestly said that when she received the script she thought they were making her biography. Lok Jai said, "In the script you and I went to the motel, have you been with Mr. Ting?" Chin Wa laughed and pretended to hit him, "Did you eat too much?" During the meal, Lok Jai kept following Chin Wa's wager at cards because he heard Chin Wa would have great luck this year. Finally he truly won big money and forced dealer Pang Ho Cheung against the wall.
