Shu Qi in the Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed new film LEGEND OF THE FIST THE RETURN OF CHEN ZHEN (JING MO YING HUNG CHEN ZHEN) played a Japanese spy who was stuck between a mob boss (Anthony Wong Chau Sun) and Chen Zhen (Donnie Yen Chi Tan). Because Chau Sun wanted to make her his eighth concubine, they had many flirting scenes. Instead her relationship scene with Yen Chi Tan was more low key.

Earlier Chau Sun complimented Shu Qi as the top beauty and stated that he would like to work with her again. Shu Qi also "returned the favor" and said that Chau Sun was a top hunk. As for working with Chi Tan Shu Qi honestly said that she was very pleasantly surprised. Earlier she has seen his work, but this time she felt that he has already found another Chen Zhen to interpret. He was very different from his previous image and absolutely shook of Ip Man's shadow. Shu Qi eve joked, "He was stripped naked!"

Speaking of Chi Tan's revealing scene, Shu Qi regretted that she was not on hand to see it but believed the clearer look was at the cinema. Shu Qi also praised Chi Tan as a good husband. Once she saw them dining together and he was sweetly looking at his wife the entire time. They were truly very fortunate. Would she like to find true love? Shu Qi sighed and honestly said that it was not like she could find it just because she wanted to. Of course girls would like to date. Would she like to find a good husband like Chi Tan or a handsome guy? Shu Qi said that would be very hard to say. She saw how lovingly Chi Tan looked at his wife, she believed that anyone would "melt".

Because Shu Qi in the film played a Japanese, in the film she not only had to speak Japanese but also had to sing Japanese songs. She said that while acting she had to mind her expression. She had to put her unclear Japanese into her brain to recite, which was truly very hard. She said that during the shoot she used a cheat sheet. Shu Qi in the film sang a Japanese song and three Mandarin songs, all of which were recorded on the film original soundtrack. Would she plan to make the jump to music? She said not to give her any pressure as singing was her interest. If she had to be a singing, she must have substance like Faye Wong, Sammi Cheng Sau Man, and Joey Yung Cho Yi. This original soundtrack was not her solo record, but she would treat this record like hers. It was quite a decent memory too.
