The Derek Yee Tung Sing and Henry Fong Ping produced, Derek Chiu Sung Kei directed film THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED (YUT LO YAU NEI) two nights ago held its premiere. Actors Louis Koo Tin Lok, Karen Mok Man Wai, Huang Yi and others attended. Guests included Paw Hee Ching, Elena Kong Mei Yee, Shum Chi Ming and others. Goo Jai was made fun of for his
Putonghua pronunciation from a previous "tire" ad, this time in the film he had to speak Putonghua. Co-stars Mok Man Wai and Huang Yi praised Goo Jai's Putonghua improvement.
Goo Jai in the film played a China Hong Kong truck driver. In the film he had some memorable scenes. In one scene he and Lai Yiu Cheung took a beating. During rehearsal, the tables were already flying. During the official shoot they had to look out for themselves. In another scene
in which he took a beating, although he was used with a fake brick he still had minor injuries. This Lunar New Year Goo Jai will have two films ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2011 (JUI KEUNG HEI SI) and MR. AND MRS. INCREDIBLES (SUN KEI NUI HUP) so he will be busy promoting. However, he would like the most for both films to perform well at the box office.
Koo Tin Lok and Huang Yi in the film had romantic scenes in which they had to speak Putonghua. Goo Jai said that during the shoot he asked her for help. He honestly said that acting with non native tongue was difficult. Was he very worried when he first learned about the Putonghua lines? Goo Jai pointed out that this film was about after the Hand Over how Hong Kong people constantly worked in the Mainland, thus his pronunciation did not have to be too accurate.
However, Mok Man Wai praised Goo Jai's improvement. She said that she has seen Goo Jai's Mainland tire ad. This time he truly has improved a lot. Reportedly Stephen Fung Tak Lun and Vivian Hsu (Tsui Yeuk Suen) broke up, Mok Man Wai had no idea and did not read the report as she just returned from the Mainland. She honestly said that she has kept in contact with Fung Tak Lun.
