Vic Chou Yu Man played a father for the first time in the current release NEW PERFECT TWO.  Jai Jai admitted that in reality he would like to be a husband and a father before age 40, but he could not accept a girlfriend with a child already.

Jai Jai as an idol series actor thought switching to play a father for the first time was fun.  He said, "This time can be considered a huge challenge, but Benny and I got along so well that we became good friends!"  Jai Jai admitted that when he first met Benny he felt unnatural, but the director treated him and Benny well because he shot according to their moods.  Jai Jai also praised his co-star as full of childlike innocence.  He said, "I feel Benny isn't mature for his age, his conversations and responses have childlike innocence!"  Jai Jai said that after completing this film he felt deeply that organizing the family was not easy.  He said, "I tried it in the film and it was enough!"  As for the opposite sex, he revealed that recently due to film promotion he asked co-star Mini Yang Mi to introduce women to him.  Did he ask the soon to wed Ella Chen to introduce women?  Jai Jai said, "Not yet!  They both think that I was just saying, but I am very serious because my life circle is very small!"

Was Jai Jai in a hurry to date?  Jai Jai said, "People around me are very warm after they fall in love, their health is particularly good.  Lately I constantly have the flu so I need the other half to help!"  If his girlfrined had a child like in the film what would he do?  Jai Jai said, "You scared me, I believe very rare people would be able to accept that.  Maybe I have to get a DNA test!"  Jai Jai admitted that he hoped that the other half would have filial piety, a simple life, but this type of people was very hard to find.  As for contact with old flame Big S (Barbie Hsu), he said, "No!"

Jai Jai hoped to be a father before 40 and joked that dragging it too long was not good.  He also said, "When I was 19 I thought I should be a husband and a father at 25, but I didn't meet anyone ideal so I had no expectation.  One day when I run into the right person I would get married and have children!"  Would he like a son or a daughter?  Jai Jai preferred a boy.  Jai Jai said, "I can have more interaction with a boy, like smashing his butt would be fine.  If it's a girl it's not too convenient unless I have a tomboy!"  He also hoped to be able to have a chance to play a mentally ill character.  He said, "If I can play a schizophrenic in a film that would be good!"

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Wu Chun and Han Geng earlier accepted TVB Entertainment News interview with Janice Cheung Won Chi to promote their new film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) and to discuss their most memorable moments from the production in detail.

Han Geng said that the film had especially many action scenes.  A dance expert since childhood, Han Geng has not studied dance in eight years and had to start over with kick training and such.  His muscles could not adjust.  After four days he suffered a thigh muscle tear, he was forced to give up his lower body training and focus on hand and sabre training.  He continued, during the action scene shoot he ran into Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon)'s hand injury.  He had to be extra careful during the fight scene to keep from injuring her worse.

Speaking of the intimate scene with Big S, he said that at the time Big S' husband was in the make up room so during the production he was very nervous.  Wu Chun joked that Big S' husband was only in the make up room but did not supervise.  Why would he be nervous?  Han Geng awkwardly said that speaking about the intimate scene now already had him sweating nervously again.  Then he praised Big S for her performance that was able to bring him into character.  Wu Chun said that the kiss scene with Annie Yee Nung Jing was a lot of fun!

In addition, Wu Chun and Han Geng both said that the missed the lunches that Sammo Hung Kam Bo personally made for the team.  When asked whether they learned to cook from Hung Kam Bo, they both said that they only knew how to enjoy it and could not learn Big Brother Hung's superb cooking skills.

[2011.09.16] WU CHUN AND HAN GENG FIGHT TO A RELATIONSHIP

courtesy of takungpao.com

Wu Chun, Han Geng and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred action film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) will soon be released.  In the film they played a pair of brothers.  Earlier they were even interviewed  together and talked about the joys and the pains of the production.

As soon as Wu Chun spoke he said it was very tough because he had to fight in every scene.  In many scenes he even had to use weapons to fight.  Han Geng chimed in and said that fighting in costume in particular was very uneasy.  Which one of them was a better fighter?  They looked at each other and laughed.  Han Geng mischievously said, "Both can fight, in the film."  Did they suffer any injury?  Wu Chun pointed out that minor injuries were definite, but none that hindered the production progress.  Han Geng also revealed that in one scene Wu Chun bruised his mouth.  Only then did Wu Chun remember and praised Han Geng's professionalism because after treating the wound he insisted on working.

Although they had emotional scenes with Big S, they did not have any rumor.  Instead Wu Chun and Han Geng to be "broke back" online in the Mainland, claiming that they hid in a room to cultivate their feelings.
Han Geng explained that before the shoot they went to a restaurant and booked a private room to dine and chat in order to understand each other, it was not living together in a room as rumored.  Wu Chun also clarified that although they stayed at the same hotel, they did not share a room.  However after working together they became good friends.  Han Geng took one look at Wu Chun and said, "I feel we are very similar, the same type of people.  We are both very introverted and don't say much.  We warm up slowly to strangers."

This time was Han Geng's first film.  He even received Big S's final kiss before her wedding.  He said, "Big S is quite a professional.  She didn't mind any problem like that.  The wedding didn't affect her."  He also said that if the character and the script called for it he would work on another kiss scene.  Did he catch the acting bug?  he said that this time he made a movie by chance but ultimately singing was his favorite.  If he had a chance to make a movie, he would still try again.

As for the memorable part of the production, Han Geng revealed that on one scene he worked for 72 hours.  With Wu Chun the Beijing Opera make up alone took two hours.  Wu Chun said that because he had to keep his mind on the martial art action as well as the Beijing Opera make up, and the high demands of the director, he could only do his best to coordinate with action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo.

Earlier revealed online that she fainted, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) yesterday appeared at a first public event.  She and Wu Chun, Han Geng and Sammo Hung Kam Bo attended the MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) press conference in Beijing.  Big S' appearance gave the audience a pleasant surprise.  As the film's only actress, Big S had relationships with the four male characters.  She said, "What this character and I have in common the most is we give our all, dare to love and insist against being 'Ms. On Hold'."

Wu Chun and Han Geng not only put their martial arts on display but also performed a scene in which Han Geng put his head on Wu Chun's shoulder.  Han Geng said, "This scene had more bad takes than the fight

[2011.07.22] HAN GENG GETS SLAPPED AROUND BEFORE BED SCENE

courtesy of takungpao.com

Two super idols Wu Chun and Han Geng in MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) had to face their first intimate scene in their career. Wu Chun and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) only needed one or two takes to complete each of their intimate scene, but Han Geng took a whole week. Finally Big S had to slap him three times before he was able to grasp the emotions.

Although Wu Chun had relationship scenes with actresses before, such a passionate and intimate contact was a first time. He thought it was much harder than the Beijing Opera kung fu. Luckily Big S was full of acting experience. On the set she often took great care of him. They very quickly became familiar. During the intimate scenes they had easier chemistry and the result was unexpectedly smooth.

On the other hand, Han Geng and Big S' passionate bed scene was very hard for him. Han Geng said that during the shoot he was extra nervous. The entire scene from chasing, kissing, fighting to the final passionate scene took a whole week to shoot. Big S even slapped Han Geng three times. Big S said, at first she could not slap him. However Han Geng in order to get into his role quickly kept encouraging Big S to hit for real. Finally after a whole day, Han Geng's face had blood traces.

[2011.07.19] BEHIND THE TRAGEDY OF MY KINGDOM

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred, Sammo Hung Kam Bo action directed, Gao Xiaosong directed action romance MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) would have rarely seen behind the scene footage of Wu Chun releasing electricity and Han Geng practicing "blood spraying".

First time trying Beijing Opera, Wu Chun could not hide his excitement. Dressed in costume he kept making passes at the cameras. The solo performance was not enough fun for me as he often dragged Han Geng into his monkey act; for his first film Han Geng was very tough. For one short "blood spraying" scene he repeatedly practiced with water. The originally tragic blood spraying martial art actor turned into a comedy; marrying in a flash during the shoot, Big S in the film was very high spirited and her laughter was continuous.

Several young idols' lively energy infected others on the team. Hung Kam Bo not only personally taught Big S the lotus finger but also when he was in the mood with his demonstration he would even dance on the
set.

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

The film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) was Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon)'s final film before her marriage. In it she played the top Shanghai action actress Xi Mulan. After reading the script she said to director Gao Xiaosong, "Xi Mulan is me." The director also said that in his mind aside from Big S he did not have anyone else. Big S revealed that when she first read the script on the plane, halfway through she was already touched. Passengers and flight attendants all snuck a peek at her. She shed tear as she stared at the script, during some parts she even ignored her image and wailed. She said that it was not because how sad the story was, but Xi Mulan's persistence for relationship. She risked everything to pursue what she thought she should pursue, which made her feel they were very similar.

Although while making MY KINGDOM, Big S already wed in a flash. She did not hold back on passionate scenes. Big S and two action actors Han Geng and Wu Chun had a complicated relationship story that did not lack any intimate scene. At the time Big S was a newlywed. The team in order to take care of her while shooting these intimate scenes prepared a double for her. Yet for effect, Big S often would ask to personally perform. Gao Xiaosong said that once when they shoot Big S and Han Geng's major scene, no matter where he placed the camera the double would be exposed. Big S' husband Wang Xiaofei was in the next room when Big S asked to perform personally, she even shot it three times.

[2011.06.23] HEAVY MAKE UP DRIES UP BARBIE HSU'S FACE

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon)'s Beijing opera costumes in MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) opened the eyes of many. Han Geng and Wu Chun two months before the film began production started to rehearse Beijing Opera. Big Si in order to play the prettiest action actress risked his beauty for heavy Beijing Opera make up.

One of Wu Chun's costumes was Sun Wukong in HAVOC IN HEAVENLY PALACE. Every time the facial make up was a challenge and each time took one or two hours, its removal was torture for him. He could not move when the make up was removed, otherwise it would run. "The first time with the monkey make up because I didn't know how to remove the make up, I couldn't get it off when I got back."

As a beauty expert in show business, Big S was quite picky with her skin care. In order to play the Bund's top action actress Xi Mulan, she was willing to risk ruining her face. "Every time at head binding it would hurt the scalp. When it was released I would get dizzy. Most importantly, no matter what look the make up would suck the entire face dry." Big S revealed, "At the time the make up artist told me, as a Beijing actor on the face aside from acne was also acne."

Sammo Hung Kam Bo was the action director for the Wu Chun, Han Geng, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon), Yuen Biao, Annie Yi Nung Jing starred action film MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN), which held a Shanghai Film Festival press conference. Hung Kam Bo personally led Han Geng, Wu Chun, Lu Chen and others. Big S also made an appearance.

The trailer was shown at the event. In the film everyone fought for the title of the "Best martial art actor". The event presented the title to Hung Kam Bo and publicly recognized him as the real "Great martial art actor". The Seven Little Fortune member Hung Kam Bo honestly said, MY KINGDOM was very meaningful to him; he pointed out that this was the first chance to display the brilliance of Beijing Opera martial art actors in his 40 years in film. Although Hung Kam Bo had 30 years of action directing experience, before the film even began he first went to
study in Tianjun Beijing Opera Academy for two months and spent a year to choreograph the action.

When the host asked everyone the most memorable moment of the shoot, everyone said "professionalism". Wu Chun revealed that in his fight with Yu Rongguang, Hung Kam Bo did not rest for three days straight. If he was too tired he would nap a little but immediately got up and taught again. Han Geng pointed out that once Hung Kam Bo was so tired that he fainted on the set. After awhile he woke up. Instead of going to the hospital he went directly back to keep shooting.

After the press conference, Han Geng, Wu Chun and Big S presented the Best Martial Art Actor plaque to Hung Kam Bo as everyone agreed that he was the real Great Martial Art Actor. Hung Kam Bo humbly said that he only did what he could. He pointed out that the qualification for a martial art actor was very simple -- tough. Martial art actors had total hip and leg training that was much tougher than general. The key was whether you had the determination.

Falling in love and getting married in a flash while working on MY KINGDOM, Big S studied Beijing Opera martial art since she was little and longed for the day to be able to use her skills on the big screen. This time in the film she played Shanghai's top martial art actress. Before the shoot, she almost quit due to an injury. At the time her right wrist was severely injured and did not obey her command. She could not even hold a sword. Hung Kam Bo permitted her to hold it with her left hand and designed a sequence that she could complete the action with. Hung Kam Bo pointed out that Big S was willing to take risks and do whatever it took. Her performance was good.

In the summer rain, the 2011 Shanghai International Film Festival opened in Shanghai. Over 300 national and overseas film celebrities and new industry new comers, like entertainment media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and his wife, Oscar winning Actress Susan Sarandon, Hollywood star Matt Dillion, Korean star Gianna Jun Ji-Hyun, Japanese star Satoshi Tsumabuki, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) and her husband Wang Xiaofei, and director John Woo (Ng Yu Sum), walked the red carpet in the rain for this film festival.

Despite the rain, many film professionals appeared with umbrellas. Hong Kong director Jacob Cheung Chi Leung led REST ON YOUR SHOULDER actors Chen Kun, Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Kwai Lun-Mei on their red carpet appearance without umbrellas. Perhaps touched by the team, many fans applauded and cheered as they often screamed their idols' names. Similar scenes appeared again when the LOVE IN SPACE (CHUEN KAU YIT LUEN) team walked the red carpet. The first to appear of that team was Jing Boran and Angelababy.

Although big stars gathered, in comparison with overseas film professionals Chinese artists stole the show. Among the numerous "couple on the read carpet" artists, most of the media attention went to Big S and Wang Xiaofei and Kitty Zhang Yuqi and Wang Quanan. Betty Sun Li and Deng Chao who just held their wedding banquet in Shanghai made their first public appearance after marriage at this year's film festival.

Among the numerous female stars when Lin Chiling appeared on the red carpet, Chen Kun who just passed by cooperatively accompanied her again. They even shared an embrace in public. Actually, Chen Kun came to Shanghai with his film with Lin Chiling, LOVE ON CREDIT. Lin Chiling said that Chen Kun was a mix between a man and a boy. During the shoot Chen Kun had quite an influence, which was worth her learning from. Chen Kun said that although it was his first film with Lin Chiling he still stated, "Lin Chiling's performance was very real, which made you experienced the love in the film."

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Wu Chun, Han Geng and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred action romance MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN) released its first Hong Kong poster. Although the film has wrapped for awhile, Wu Chun and Han Geng's brotherly love has not faded. This time they reunited for the poster and could not stop chatting after seeing each other.

In the poster Wu Chun and Han Geng had to wear their costumes and Beijing Opera costumes in the film and hold spears and sabers that Beijing Opera frequently used. Because before the shoot they spent three months to study Beijing Opera basics and martial art actor fighting, when
they put on their Beijing Opera costumes and weapons, they seemed to immediately become martial art actors and were reminded the production. They performed several Beijing Opera moves and looked very convincing. Suddenly they caught the acting bug and in the studio they traded blows. Due to the small studio that was filled with lights, the photographer was worried that they would destroy the lights and could only ask them to stop. They could only continue to work. The entire shoot took six hours to complete. Although they performed many jumps and wielded weapons, they saw how ideal the result was and thought it was worth all the hard work.

[2011.01.26] SAMMO HUNG IS DEMANDING WITH FIGHT SCENES

courtesy of takungpao.com

MY KINGDOM earlier wrapped successful. Aside from the team of three great kung fu masters Sammo Hung Kam Bo, Yuen Biao and Yu Rongguang, leads Wu Chun, Han Geng and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon)'s fight scenes took up nearly half the film. The final wrap scene took the team
an entire week to complete, showing how demanding action director Sammo was with the fight scenes.

Sammo, Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and others formed Seven Little Fortunes and were the pillars of the 80s Hong Kong kung fu films. This time the script moved Sammo to relive the Beijing Opera nostalgia of his youth, as he invited junior colleague Yuen Biao to play Wu Chun and Han Geng's mentor -- top martial art actor Yu Sing Ying. The brothers were particularly focused in studying martial arts on and off screen. As for Yu Rongguang he was famous Beijing Opera performer Yu Mingkui's son. Since childhood he studied to be a martial art actor for over a dozen years. This time he played Big S' mentor Yue Jiangtian, famous martial art actor of Beijing. For the two major martial art actors' duel, Sammo personally rehearsed with Yuen Biao and Yu Rongguang. The trio held nothing back as they wielded their weapons.

Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon), Wu Chun and Han Geng are working on the film MY KINGDOM. Celestial Entertainment arranged for Hong Kong and Taiwan media to cover the production in Shanghai. Due to advanced statement that only questions about the film were permitted, when Big S was asked about her wedding the event interfered. Big S did not decline to answer though.

Big S after registering her marriage with Mainland rich kid Wang Xiaofei in Beijing immediately returned to Shanghai to continue work on the film. Playing an action opera actress, she had to perform Beijing opera and fight. Her right arm earlier was severely injured. Almost crippled she suddenly thought about quitting the film, later the director persuaded her and accommodated her fighting with her left arm she was convinced to continue on. Aside from the injury, Big S also found difficulty early in the production, in particular the first time Beijing Opera look was very tough. The make up artist was worried that she would be nauseous, dizzy and faint, thus often she would be permitted to put down her head dress to rest. As for her arm and nerve, she only had 50% mobility. Now Big S is already used to using her left arm, even when she held hands. Although the doctor said she could recover in three months, she did not sense any progress so far. She was not worried though as worrying was useless. In addition she could still use her left arm. The film will be completed before the Lunar New Year. Will she have time to plan the wedding? She said, "During the New Year everyone will be off! (Has you decided to hold the wedding in Hainan in March?) The news is just a rumor, nothing has been decided. I won't plan until after the New Year. (Would you like children?) Of course."

In the film, Big S had relationships with both Wu Chun and Han Geng, both she only loved her mentor. Yet the era was the end of the Qing Dynasty, the society still could not accept mentor disciple relationships. She needed courage to be able to love, thus she felt the character's
personality was very close to hers. It was the first time that she worked with either actor, who she both praised as handsome. Wu Chun and Han Geng also took the role because they liked the character's personalities being similar to theirs. In order to cultivate a bond, before the shoot they lived and trained together. the director even arranged for them to face each other for 30 seconds. Although Wu Chun thought it was very awkward, he thought it was very useful afterward.

Attending the premiere were director Su Chao-Bin, actors Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), Jung Woo-Sung, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon), Shawn Yue Man Lok, Wang Xueqi, Paw Hee Ching, Pace Wu (Ng Pui Chi) and Leon Dai Lap Yan. The John Woo (Ng Yu Sum) produced REIGN OF ASSASSINS (GIM YU) will be released on October 7 in Hong Kong. Yesterday a press conference was held in Beijing. He, director Su Chih-Pin and actors Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), Jung Woo-Sung, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon), Shawn Yue Man Lok, Wang Xueqi, Paw Hee Ching, Pace Wu (Ng Pui Chi), Calvin Li (Lee Chong Hong) and Leon Dai Lap Yun attended. The host asked Jung Woo-Sung and Yeung Chi King to reprise their wedding proposal scene. In the film Yeung Chi King asked Jung Woo-Sung if he was willing to marry her. Although they were buddies, reprising the scene in public was still embarrassing. Jung Woo-Sung immediately helped her and kept her from proposing. Before she was able to respond, he already continuously repeated, "What did you say?" and pretended to have reprised the scene.

Ng Yu Sum was asked if he switched faces who he would switch with. He humorously said that he would like to become Jung Woo-Sung because in childhood he has always wanted to become an actor but he did not grow tall. As long as he had Jung Woo-Sung's looks he definitely would become a top actor. Jung Woo-Sung said, "Thank you Director." Big S earlier injured her right arm during a shoot but she insisted on attending the Beijing press conference and premiere. She hoped to be able to promote more. However all of her movement was extra cautious and she avoided contact with anyone to pretend nerve injuries. Shawn Yue Man Lok who stood next to her took extra care of her.

Ng Pui Chi wore four inch high heels, which made the already tall her even taller. Yue Man Lok often stood on the tips of his toes to keep from being shorter than her.

At first I wanted to go to the cinema for a peek at the audience response, but to do so I had to pass through viewers in the middle row. Instead of affecting them I kept myself from going in."

Yam Yin Chai pointed out that executive producer Jimmy Heung Wa Sing was confident in this new film, thus he planned to spread the word of mouth to attract more viewers. Yam Yin Chai stated that although he stayed in Hengdian for half a year for this film, the audience appreciation and ideal box office would be worth the effort.

Yam Yin Chai also said that he just finished the Silk Road motorcycle contest and planned to officially participate in a desert motorcycle contest to challenge himself. He would first prepare to continue work on Johnnie To Kei Fung's LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM).
