[2011.10.18] JOEY YUNG SAYS HU GE'S LIPS ARE SOFT

The Chapman To Man Jat directed, Joey Yung Cho Yi, Mag Lam Yun Tung, Hu Ge, Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai) starred film DIVA yesterday held a Mainland press conference.  The host twice described Joey as "box office poison".  To Man Jat showed support for his star, "Everyone has a chance to either be a box office poison or box office ruler.  Chow Yun Fat was box office poison in the past, now he is a lead actor with 700 million box office.  We need to see how the movie is made."  Joey said that she was not embarrassed.  She would also describe herself that way.  "At this movie people are still making movies with me, it really is a great encouragement turning the impossible to the possible.  When I started I didn't know how to dance, now I consider I do.  With more life experience I can be more in character."

Joey at first was not confident that she was able to play the character well because it had many emotional scenes and talked about many real situations in the business; Hu Ge and she in the film played a couple, as she attempted the romance that she has yet to experience in real life.  Joey said, "As soon as we got on the set we had a kiss scene.  It was very awkward, I frowned and did not dare to open my mouth.  After a few takes I gradually got used to it."  Joey praised Hu Ge's lips as soft like cotton candy.  She joked, "I haven't tried this flavor in a long time!"  Did Hu Ge meet her heart's desires?  Joey laughed and said, "It's just work, but Hu Ge indeed is 'high class goods'."  She joked that her past boyfriends were all "torn and tattered".

Speaking of Lam Yun Tung catching up to her, Joey praised that she not only could sing but also was direct.  She did not mind having new comers on her tail because the music scene needed to be stimulated with new blood.  Hu Ge was asked about his kiss scene with Joey.  He said, "For different angels we had to kiss several times, now my mouth is a little swollen, the first time it was somewhat embarrassed."

[2011.10.13] JOEY YUNG TURNS DOWN EIGHT FIGURES FOR NEW FILM

courtesy of on.cc

For an acting break through, music industry diva Joey Yung Cho Yi is willing to make the sacrifice for art and appear half naked in her new film.  In an awkward relationship with Hu Ge in the film, Joey will receive a massage from him.  Joey even turned down eight figures in jobs for "peace and quiet" so she would be able to go further in the film industry.

Joey's film characters have been few but memorable, like the CRAZY N THE CITY (SUN GAING HUP NUI)'s silly police officer and DEMI HAUNTED (WON PAK NG CHAI)'s androgynous woman.  For even more break through on the silver screen, Emperor Motion Pictures tailored the new film DIVA for Joey.  Heiward Mak Hei Yan will direct.  Although Joey played a diva, the film will not be easy for her at all.  Joey in the new film will have to be half naked as lead actor Hu Ge will give her a massage.  To diva Joey this might be an extreme challenge.  Joey said, "Although the production hasn't started yet, I am already very nervous.  Mentally I really have to put in an effort to prepare.  Actually Hu Ge has more to prepare for than I do.  He went to learn massage and told me to relax."

Was the film salary so attractive that she was willing to turn down eight figures in jobs?  Joey joked, "I have always been more about the heart than the gold."  Joey even "boasted" that she would deliberately lose weight for the film.  "I have always been very fit, as a singer I ultimately don't want to be fat."

DIVA has already started production days ago.  Producer and actor Chapman To Man Jat often posted production progress online.  Co-star included Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai); in the photo Hu Ge was full of confidence.  Although this was his first collaboration with Joey, they got along very quickly.

Pat Ha Man Jik, William Chan Wai Ting, Carrie Ng Ka Lai, Candy Yu On On, Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen) and Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai) starred film CHOOK GWAI DIK NUI YUN (OFF THE RAIL WOMEN) yesterday held a production start ceremony. The actors and director Poon Yuen Leung participated in a roast pig cutting ceremony.

Ha Man Jik said that she has not made a film in a long time. In addition she was not used to sleeping late. After the first day she could only sleep with the help of medicine. She would be fine once she gradually adjusted to it. Chan Wai Ting said that he had intimate scenes with her in every scene, she joked that it was a lie. Even if they did they were only in the proximity of intimacy, which was exaggerated. The director should be asked about the level of intimacy. Would she be sexy in the film? Ha Man Jik said that Yip Shuen and Ng Ka Lai would be more amazing. She joked that she was old and at most only dared to show her back. She said, "If others saw me I would be doing a spit take. I have already lost five pounds though, maybe from all the pressure." She also praised Chan Wai Ting's performance. In one scene she fell under his spell. She said that she has not seen Chan Wai Ting's revealing scene but complimented that he was in great shape. Ha Man Jik honestly said that the production has been somewhat physically demanding but very smooth. She said that now she is in negotiation with Willie Chan Chi Keung about a new film. Due to scheduling conflict, both films would shoot simultaneously.

Chan Wai Ting said that in the film he played a gigolo. He would have intimate scenes with Ha Man Jik, Ng Ka Lai and Yip Shuen. He honestly said that he would have a kiss scene with Ha Man Jik. Would he have touching scenes? He said yes but he did not have any pressure. He said, "Ha Man Jik and I actually have the same birthday, I feel very intimate." Did he already have experience from working with Vivian Chow Wai Man earlier? He honestly said that he had more experience and knew how to communicate. Chan Wai Ting said that earlier he worked on a daring scene in which his manager Yu On On tested his conditions at a night club. He said, "I had to masturbate in front of her and the camera, I felt a little scared." Would he show his rear? He said that the director has been great, permitting him to put on underwear then folding it to hide it. It felt like wearing a thong. He joked that his rear would be on display this way too. Did he get himself into shape first? He said that his legs have always been thin so his rear looked big in comparison. Chan Wai Ting pointed out that Yu On On asked why he did not remove his underwear for the scene and suggested for him to learn an actor's professional ethics. He honestly said that for now he could not accept it and needed further adjustment.

Ng Ka Lai said that she had intimate scenes with Chan Wai Ting but would not feel embarrassed. Because she has made many love scenes before, this was a piece of cake. Did she see Chan Wai Ting's revealing scene? She said that she has not had the pleasure so far. She said that she and Ha Man Jik back then worked together on LIFE IS A MOMENT (CHIU FA JIK HUP). Although they only had a few scenes together, when they ran into each other again they still remembered working together. They also praised each other for looking great at their age.

The new film ADVENTURE OF THE KING (LUNG FUNG DIM) lead actor Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai) and Kara Wang (Wong Chung Yan) yesterday went to Mongkok to meet with viewers and gave away film costume still photos. Originally scheduled to attend, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) due to an arm injury could not come to promote the film in Hong Kong.

With its release yesterday, 15 cinemas in the circuit welcomed viewers with a free screening. Around 3,000 viewers after obtaining free tickets at noon went to watch the film. Yam Yin Chai pointed out that the free screening would be able to attract even more viewers. "Since the film just opened, viewers who have seen this film would spread their word of mouth and increase box office. At first I wanted to go to the cinema for a peek at the audience response, but to do so I had to pass through viewers in the middle row. Instead of affecting them I kept myself from going in."

Yam Yin Chai pointed out that executive producer Jimmy Heung Wa Sing was confident in this new film, thus he planned to spread the word of mouth to attract more viewers. Yam Yin Chai stated that although he stayed in Hengdian for half a year for this film, the audience appreciation and ideal box office would be worth the effort.

Yam Yin Chai also said that he just finished the Silk Road motorcycle contest and planned to officially participate in a desert motorcycle contest to challenge himself. He would first prepare to continue work on Johnnie To Kei Fung's LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM).

She said that after the shoot she had nightmares and did not dare to speak, as she felt a little like cutting herself off.

Dada came in support of her company's Liz and Ivy. She said that she was not too sexy and did not want to steal the show. Was she able to accept nude scenes? She said, "I don't know, I myself won't be completely nude. My rear isn't pretty. I think I have to be very thin before

[2010.08.27] BONNIE XIAN LOOKS FORWARD TO GIRL$ RELEASE

courtesy of takungpao.com

The 25th Hong Kong Film Award Best New Director winner Kenneth Bi (But Kwok Chi)'s new film GIRL$ will open next Thursday. The film is about post 80 and 80 escort girls. The cast including Michelle Wai (Si Nga), Bonnie Xian (Sin Sik Lai), Minyi Wang and Una Lin (Lam Yuk Hin) crossed their bottom line with their daring performance. The film completely reflected the new generation youth "ignore the consequence, do what they want to do" attitude.

Due to the sensitive subject, the film had quite an enormous response when it premiered at the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival. With the film's upcoming release, Sin Sik Lai was looking forward to it and hoped that everyone would like GIRL$ as much as she did. She said, "I saw many positive responses online, I was truly excited. Unfortunately due to the subject the film could not be released in the Mainland. Many people in Mainland left messages on the microblog, which was somewhat regrettable." The film company scheduled advanced screenings Friday and Saturday for viewers who have waited a long time to enjoy this controversial film right away. The GIRL$ tonight will promote the film in Mongkok.
