DVD Releases for September 7, 2010

Time to have a look at DVD releases for Tuesday September 7, 2010

First up we have Jean-Pierre Jeunet's latest film Micmacs / Micmacs à tire-larigot which has the whimsy of Amélie and set it in a more Delicatessen decorated world, keeping it visceral we have the creature horror film Growth and dark human nature drama A Call Girl. Also out in release is Sook-Yin Lee feature film directorial debut Year of the Carnivore.

Lots of TV out on DVD today including one that's certainly on my list: Supernatural Season 5 - and it's a few weeks until the show returns with Season 6 on Sept 24, 2010 so there is lots of time to catch up. Also out today is Smallville Season 9, and from over the pond we have Skins Volume (aka Season) 3 and Prime Suspect: Complete Collection. Also out is the recent Andromedea Strain Miniseries.

Shifting mediums, we also have THX 1138 being released on Blu Ray.

Some popular titles out today include the parody/comedy MacGruber, Solitary Man starring Michael Douglas and comedy/action flick Killers starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.
