The cast of FORTUNE BUDDIES yesterday gathered at Shaw Film City, but lead Chi Wai was one hour late. He explained that he had to dye his hair blond for shoot continuity. Chi Wai just returned from shooting SUPER TRIO in Japan. He honestly said that this time he bled out and returned with six suitcases worth of goods, spending at least several hundred thousand. In addition friends kept joining in, everyday he was either seeing someone off or welcoming someone. Every night he was treating at dinner. However the pointed out that this time he went to stimulate the local economy so spending money was no big deal. He said, "This time I was the big spender, quite a big shot."
The Fortune Buddies yesterday appeared in tight fitting wrestling costumes so their physiques were in total display. Cho Nam's was the tightest as his lower body stuck out. Cho Nam honestly said that he had something extra. Because he had to shoot wrestling scenes he added an athletic support for prevention. Why did Cheung Jai not wear one? He joked that he needed to relax when not shooting because the support plastic was very hard. Cho Nam pointed out that the support was just like a bra for a woman, it was not too comfortable either. Lee Si Jit joked that he was very excited all day so he did not wear a support. Cheung Jai also pointed out that in the film he had to fight real professional wrestlers. Cheung Jai joked, "When I stood next to them I immediately became scrawny, they were even able to pick up Lam Suet." Cho Nam said that a wrestler was two heads taller than him. Did they learn to wrestle before the shoot? They joked that they learned how to be slammed.
Cheung Ho Yi in the film played Chi Wai's old flame. In the film she not only had to seduce Chi Wai but also take a slap from Wong Siu Fung and a wrestler. She said that wrestler pushed her very lightly and she already was seeing stars. Did she have any intimate scene with Chi Wai? She jokingly frowned and said, "Oh, yes!" However she declined to reveal the detail, only saying that this was already the second time that she played Chi Wai's other half. Earlier in another film she already played his wife.
Speaking of the Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi marriage troubles, Chi Wai said that every home had its own set of problems. As an outsider he would not comment. He thought that with some things only the two of them knew right or wrong. If they were incompatible, breaking up would be a good thing as well. If they held on for their children, everyone's lives would be tough. He pointed out that both Ting Fung and Pak Chi were able to work, the children would be fine with either one.
