Film Fan Fridays for Friday June 13, 2008!

Hello Film Fans and Fanatics!

Welcome to Film Fan Fridays for Friday June 13, 2008! We are still in June festival madness with 8 festivals gracing the city over the next 7 days. Be sure to check your local listings carefully when planning your movie going! Even with so much festivalling in town we have 6 new releases, with 3 wide and 3 limited and it is a rare week as I am more excited over the wide releases over the limited runs! I don't think that has ever happened before.

In limited release this week we have The Foot Fist Way a martial arts comedy and something I've not seen before, their official site as 2 versions, one for 'everyone' and one for those '17 and older'. Bizarre. Next up is Irina Palm starring Marianne Faithful as a woman who, well let me just said if I described the content of the film I'd get hits on my website that I don't want to. You can check out the links below if your curiosity is piqued. Our last limited releases is the father and son relationship film When Did You Last See Your Father, which looks quite touching.

In wide release this week we have the latest from M. Night Shyamalan with The Happening which I think looks quite compelling. We also have the controversially titled Young People Fucking opening in 8 theatres across the city! Take that Bill C-10! Finally, if you are feeling a little green there is the latest version of The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton hitting the screens today.

I'll be continuing my coverage of the Worldwide Short Film Festival at Movie Moxie throughout the festival which runs until June 15, 2008.

Have a great weekend!

Shannon
