Now that most new fall shows have premiered on the broadcast networks and viewing patterns are settling in, we will turn our attention from daily ratings analysis and focus on what the networks are promoting on their own air.
What shows are being abandoned? What shows are getting the on-air promo love? Like we did in the summer, we will sample shows on each network (from various genres) and count the promo seconds allocated to various series and specials.
The first post will appear Monday, looking at what was promoted Sunday night. Each day throughout the week we will update the figures as we go, letting you know what the priorities are for each network.
Don't worry: we will still cover ratings news when it is important and noteworthy. We just won't feel compelled to post a ratings story every day.
