Film Fan Fridays for Friday January 8, 2010

Hello Film Fans and Fanatics!

Welcome to Film Fan Fridays for Friday January 8, 2010!

Only three films in release this week, which is better than last week but is still pretty limited selection even for this early in the year. But, they all should be accessible as they are all in wide release. The biggest buzz this week is definitely surrounding the futuristic vampire flick Daybreakers from the twin brother directing duo Michael Spierig & Peter Spierig. I had a chance to see Daybreakers at it's World Premiere at TIFF'09 and it was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to see it again. Next up we have Leap Year a romcom starring Amy Adams, Adam Scott and Matthew Goode along with the coming of age comedy Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera as a 14 year old looking to lose his virginity.

Can't wait to see Daybreakers? Kill some time by reading my review, see clips from the World Premiere screening at TIFF'09 with Michael & Peter Spierig, Willem Dafoe & Sam Neill, I also vlogging about it and chatted with the guys over at The Substream (their review contains spoilers).

Have a great weekend!

Shannon
