[2011.10.11] KAREN MOK IS NO STRICT MOTHER

The Jeff Lau Chun Wai directed film EAST MEETS WEST 2011 (DUNG SING SAI JAU 2011) will open on November 17.  The film also had many stars, including the just married Karen Mok Man Wai.  Karen said that the most memorable scene was working with a child.  In it she had to "scare" the child and threaten him with a drill.  She has worked with children before, but this was the first time that she had to get rough with one.  She was afraid that she would hurt him or make him cry uncontrollably.  With the sharp drill bit, she was afraid that he would get hurt during the struggle.  Karen said that when she watched the play back of her performance, she thought she was despicable.

Karen after the shoot compensated with a big bag of candy for the child actor.  She was the most afraid that scarring the child for life, which she would have to be fully responsible for.  Luckily children now matured early and after the shoot they played together.  He was not afraid of her from the shoot.  When she gave him candy, the child hug her and said thank you.  Karen was asked when she would like to be a mother?  She said that right now she would like to spend some time as a couple first.  When she would become a mother she definitely would not a strict one.  Instead she was afraid that her children would turn the drill on her.
