Bit of a light release week for DVD releases for March 8, 2011 and I wonder if it's to avoid competing with the HUGE breakout series The Walking Dead which Season 1 is now available on DVD and BluRay and is loaded with extras.
- The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (DVD Review) on DVD and BluRayZombies hit the small screen and make a big splash of brains, slow walks by the deserted streets of Atlanta and a strong focus on character and emotion. I never thought we'd see that combination, but we've got it and people are loving it.
- Four Lions (DVD Review) Freaking hilarious dark comedy about terrorism. I'm not kidding. It's so wrong on so many levels, but it's hilarious. Stellar acting, great characters and laugh-out-load funny.
- The Man From Nowhere great, although pretty brutal, South Korean crime/action film starring Won Bin, Kim Sae-Ron; directed by Lee Jeong-beom. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one again as when I saw it in the theatre there were some subtitle issues and I missed out on some of the film.
- Lemmy documentary on the one and only Lemmy from Motörhead
- Excalibur on Blu Ray This is one of my favourite Arthurian tales gets a BluRay release, great one for spotting some fave actors like Helen Mirren & Patrick Stewart!
- Inside Job Oscar winning documentary makes a timely DVD release
- Every Day Family drama with Carla Gugino, Liev Schreiber, Helen Hunt, Eddie Izzard, Ezra Miller
- The Next Three Days crime/drama with a thriller feel, this one stars Russell Crowe as a man who looks like he will do anything to get his wife (Elizabeth Banks) out of jail
- Morning Glory Feels little Devil-Wears-Prada means TV, this one stars Rachel McAdams, Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford
- Jackass 3D Extreme comedy via self-inflicted pranks ....all in 3D!
