Two nights ago Coach celebrated its all new Nathan Road flagship store opening.  Stars like Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Wyman Wong Wai Man, Qi Qi, Kathy Chow Man Kei and Alice B. attended.  Yam Yin Chai revealed that recently he has been rather busy because he had to prepare for his concert.  Was he interested in signing Edmond Leung Hong Man?  He said, "We both have thought about it.  I think he is very talented, but I have to wait until he resolves his company contract problems first.  (Some said 3 million for his release?)  Huh!  I have to consider it, depending on the company's future development."  His film with Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN) performed poorly at the box office.  He said, "Everyone worked very hard on this film.  Because the studio was too cold, the team adjustment had some problems.  The set was a little chaotic and the shoot was pretty tough.  However actually a movie being good or bad has many reasons, not just the artists!"  As for outside accusation that Pak Chi was a box office poison?  Siu Chai showed his support, "No one can make that kind of decision, Pak Chi works very hard!"

As the New Year starts, the site Sohu's TopTen Best and Worst Film Poll again surfaced.  Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) both became Rotten Film Actor and Actress.  Since her divorce, Pak Chi who has been away from film for years went from a divorced woman into a film industry hot property as different teams added to their offers for her help.  Unfortunately they all bombed at the box office and disappointed each one of their dream.  She too was elected the rotten film heavenly queen online.

Pak Chi came back to make THE LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG) and TREASURE HUNT (MO GA JI BO).  Pak Chi who was treated time and time again to be the film gold label finally became "box office poison".  Cheung Pak Chi's return to the silver screen not only was accused of being the "expired" beauty that her heavy pancake make up could not make up for but also her discomfort in front of the camera.  No matter when she played an accessory assistant, Lara Croft, strong businesswoman or gentle housewife, all anyone saw was her haunted face with eyes opened as wide as bronze bells and a smile that seemed to be laughing but not on her lips.  Yam Yin Chai's performance was criticized as stiff as ever.  Yam Yin Chai and Cheung Pak Chi's performance in that film could rival each other in terms of rottenness and contributed to this year's ensemble performance that made many people collapse.

As for the top ten rotten films, they were MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (GOO DOH GAING WON), MURAL (WAT BEI), THE LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG), TREASURE HUNT (MO GA JI BO), SHENZHOU 11, THE SORCERER AND THE WHITE SNAKE (BAK SEH CHUEN SHUET), EAST MEETS WEST 2011 (DONG SING SAI JAU 2011), MY KINGDOM (DAI MO SUN), THE DEVIL INSIDE ME (DUET MING SUM TIU) and LOVE IN SPACE (CHUEN KAU YIT LUEN).  The Top Ten Best Films are FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP), FLOWERS OF WAR (GUM LING SUP SAM CHAI), LOVE IS NOT BLIND, OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2), REST ON YOUR SHOULDER (GEIN SEUNG DIP), WU XIA, THE PIANO IN A FACTORY, STARRY STARRY NIGHT, KORA and DEAR ENEMY.

Jennifer Tse Ting Ting, Wu Man San, Kathy Chow Man Kei and others attended a charity event for the Crossroads Foundation.  Recently Nicholas Tse Ting Fung's former wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi starred in LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG) was released in Hong Kong and only made 40,000.  Ting Ting said that she was busy with work and did not have time to watch it.  She also said that she did not believe the divorce would affect the audience's view about actors.  Ultimately a movie had many actors.  When she just started she asked her brother Ting Fung how to choose a suitable film.  He said that it was half luck and half substance.  At the time Pak Chi said that if she did not understand anything she could ask her.  She was a Best Actress so her acting was beyond any doubt.

Two days ago 9 films opened in Hong Kong including LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON JUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN).  The film was the second of Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's comeback after TREASURE HUNT (MO GA JI BO).  Unfortunately its box office performance was mediocre as it only made 40,000 at its opening and landed it in seventh place on the single day chart.  The single day box office champion was the foreign film IMMORTALS with 774,000.  In second place was MARGIN CALL with 183,000.  In third was the Wei Te-Sheng NT$700 million investment SEEDIQ BALE with 144,000.

YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE gained momentum in Hong Kong with a cumulative box office of over 50 million.  With the YOU motivated film market, although 9 films were released two days ago but their box office performance was only average.  The single day champion THE IMMORTALS made 774,000, which was considered decent.  Perhaps its action and 3D elements attracted an audience.  In second and third place, MARGIN CALL and SEEDIQ BALE also exceeded 10 million at the box office.  Other films only made several tens of thousands.  The worst was the Leila Tong Ning starred BIG BLUE LAKE (DAI LAN WU) with only 4,516.  When the Pak Chi starred TREASURE HUNT was released in Hong Kong two months ago, its opening day box office was 124,000, 40,000 better than her new film LEGENDARY AMAZONS.

Once calling Pak Chi "negative number actress", Stephen Shiu Yeuk Yuen two days ago continued his "coverage" of the LEGENDARY AMAZONS in Hong Kong.  After the first half of the opening day when the film came in eleventh and made 14,555, yesterday he reported the new second day numbers.  Around 2PM, Shiu Yeuk Yuen said, "Our distribution of TRESPASS didn't promote well enough and with the rain it only made 80,000.  The performance was not ideal but happened to double that of LEGENDARY AMAZONS, which only had 41,000."

Shiu Yeuk Yuen said about yesterday's box office trend, "Actually today all movie box office rose, only LEGENDARY AMAZONS fell.  As of 2PM it only made 9500.  YOU again is on top."

Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) in the film LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN) had emotional scenes.  They even had a kiss scene.  During the shoot they were all flushed with embarrassment.  Although Siu Chai and Pak Chi were good friends, the more familiar they were the more awkward they felt.  In addition both have become parents.  When they remembered their children at home, they could not focus.  Their eyes would helplessly wander.  Sometimes they did not even know where to look and thus cracked up with several dozen bad takes.

Finally the director had to half threaten half order them not to laugh again, otherwise the bad takes would be end credit material.  Then they were able to complete the scene.  In addition, Siu Chai had a lot of experience with costume films.  However the shoot took place in the winter.  Thus when he wore the several dozen pound icy armor, he felt the chill to the bones.  In addition he had to handle the martial art action.  Siu Chai often joked, "No one can be more tired, starved and colder than this."

The film LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG) would be released on the 17th.  As Mu Guiying Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi in the film had many fight scenes.  She insisted against using a double and
performed the stunts, rode the horse and wielded her weapon personally.  Pak Chi joked that director Frankie Chan Fun Kei has been lying to her and said that each scene would have at most 3 stunts.  Finally the 3
stunts had 8 stunts in them so the shoot was especially tough.  However, she also thanked the director for arranging fight scenes to help her rapidly lose weight after birth.  Kathy Chow Hoi Mei in the film played
Yang Wuniang.  Hoi Mei said that one of her first television series was YANG'S SAGA.  At the time she played Yang Jiumei.  She said that Wuniang was an faithful Buddhist and was more introverted.  The difficulty lay with her eye and facial expression.

The Jackie Chan produced, Frankie Chan Fun Kei directed, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) starred film LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN) will open on November 17.  Pak Chi has already confirmed to attend the November 1 Beijing and 2 Shanghai premiere promotions and conceivably will again become the media focus.

According to the crew, when Pak Chi joined the production she asked for an important condition.  While she could work on fight scenes, she must be kept from pelvic injuries.  Pak Chi said that she still wanted a third child and hoped that the director could prevent her from injury in fight and action scene designs.

The Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Cheng Pei Pei, Liu Xiaoqing, Kathy Chow Hoi Mei and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) starred film LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji GWUN LING YU SAN) yesterday released the latest stills online.  Stills included the ladies in joyous red costumes, but later they also changed into all white mourning garbs.  In both stills almost the entire Yang family appeared.  As the Yang family elder Cheng Pei Pei in two major scenes had detailed and suitable looks and gestures.  The three time General Public Movie Hundred Flower Award Best Actress Liu Xiaoqing's performance was rich and deep.  Fellow Best Actress Cheung Pak Chi as Mu Guiying also had hidden tolerance and strength.

After her divorce Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi not only took care of her sons but also remembered to develop her own career.  Recently she and her manager invested in the New Asia Entertainment + Cecilia Cheung Workshop, which already opened in a low key manner.  Becoming a boss, Pak Chi even spent six figures for an employee lucky drawing to improve relationships with them.

Pak Chi posted three photos yesterday online and wrote "Cecilia Cheung Workshop Opens With Low Profile, Boss Cheung Blatantly Benefits Employees".  Actually Pak Chi and her manager's New Asia Entertainment + Cecilia Cheung Workshop earlier opened in Hong Kong.  That day she led ten employees in the opening ceremony.  In order to increase employee morale and improve their relationships, she threw in six figures for the employees to play a lucky drawing for cash prize.  Pak Chi's workshop design was simple and even faced the race track.

In addition, Pak Chi also posted two photos from the set of LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI YEUNG).  She was practicing with a long spear with a stunt coordinator.  She wrote, "As long as it is within my ability I would finish all of my scenes.  I hope to not only fight exciting but also fight pretty."  Thus during her free time she practiced her martial art scenes.

Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) in the film LEGENDARY AMAZONS (YEUNG MOON NUI JEUNG ji KWUN LING YU SAN) played Mu Guiying and Yang Zongbao.  In the poster unveiled yesterday, Pak Chi looked anxious on horseback, while Siu Chai looked heroic with a spear in hand.

Director Frankie Chan Fun Kei revealed that the film in order for viewers not to be in the brutality of war all the time added the Mu Guiying and Yang Zongbao romance.  Pak Chi and Siu Chai in the film were considered happy rivals.  Their kiss scene would also have a moving score.  He also pointed out that even Big Brother Jackie Chan was touched after seeing the drama in the rough cut.
