[2012.02.10] LOUIS KOO PRAISES SAMMI CHENG AS IRON MAN LIKE

Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Louis Koo Tin Lok earlier went to Shangri-La to make the film ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II).  Due to the location's high altitude, air was thin and they had a tough time during the shoot.  With an entire family of sinusitis sufferers, Goo Jai during the shoot had a nasal water build up that gave him a splitting headache.  However he praised Sammi's strength.  During the crying herself hoarse scenes, she still was more than able to handle it.

Goo Jai in the film did not have as many action scenes as Sammi, but in one scene he went to look for Sammi in the forest.  He had to scream there, due to the thin air he felt dizzy from just running while screaming.  During the shoot, Goo Jai's sinus had a water buildup and required long term medication.  In high air pressure locations he would have headache, eye and ear pain.  At the time he suffered from a lot of pain.  Although he had medicine, after taking it he was dizzy and nauseous.  Thus he tried not to take it.

Even so, Goo Jai liked the life in Shangri-La very much.  Everyday he saw very pretty lake and mountain scenery.  His work schedule was stable, life was simple and he was very happy.  When he returned to Hong Kong after the shoot, he discovered that his health was much better.  He hoped after retirement he would be able to live life like this.  Goo Jai also said that now at home he only ate and slept.  He would be in bed by 6PM and out of bed before sunrise.  Reporters said that he was so rich he could retire now; Goo Jai said that it was not a money issue.  Now he still wanted to work.

Sammi said that before she went to Shangri-La, her health was great.  Yet after arriving she needed some time to adjust.  In the film Sammi had to run like mad and even had many screaming until she was hoarse performance.  She even had a scene in which she had to pull Goo Jai out of the water.  She honestly said that after these scenes she was very tired, she needed to exert a lot of effort.  Goo Jai joked Sammi was very healthy because Gao Yuanyuan had a similar performance, after which she was almost dead.  Sammi on the other hand could perform several times.  Sammi said that after the shoot she had to try to catch her breath too.

Due to the dry climate, Sammi's skin condition during the shoot was not great but she did not mind.  She accepted her image in the film, but on the stage she had to be pretty.  Sammi also pointed out that the character's stubbornness toward love touched her.  She was not stubborn and thought love needed hard work to maintain.  Earlier when she made EVERLASTING REGRET (CHEUNG HUNG GOR) she could not leave the character and suffered depression.  This time she again had to make crying and screaming scenes.  How was she able to leave the character?  Sammi said that when making similar scenes she took a lot of time to get into character.  The directors did not dare to chat with her, but as soon as she heard cut she was able to leave.  She continued, when she made the EVERLASTING REGRET crying scene, she could not stop even the director yelled cut.  Perhaps because she was sick at the time, she learned a lot about handling the character.

The 31st Hong Kong Film Award will take place on April 15 at the Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Center.  Yesterday a press conference was held to announce the nominations.  Every year Best Actor and Best Actress have been definite foci.  Lau Ching Wan this year with LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM) and OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) received Best Actor nominations, competing with A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH)'s Andy Lau Tak Wa and LET THE BULLETS FLY's Ge You and Jiang Wen.  Best Actress favorite of course was A SIMPLE LIFE's multiple Best Actress award winner Deanie Ip Tak Han.  A BEAUTIFUL LIFE's Shu Qi is considered the dark horse.  WU XIA's Tang Wei, DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI)'s Gao Yuanyuan and FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP)'s Zhou Xun were also nominated.  This year FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE and LET THE BULLETS FLY received the most nominations with 13 each.

Yesterday Lau Ching Wan, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and the Hong Kong Film Award Association members attended the press conference.  They announced the nominations.  When Ting Fung announced Best Supporting Actor nominees, he realized that he was nominated with SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) and was embarrassed.  Later, Ting Fung said that he never thought that he would be nominated.  Because SHAOLIN was made awhile ago, even he forgot about it.  Speaking of the competition, he pointed out that his fellow nominees were all elders who he admired.  He did not want to participate for three years in a row.  This year he would already be very satisfied in the audience.  Was it because he has already won both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor he did not care?  Ting Fung denied that as he would be very happy that others recognized his hard work.  Among the nominees, he said that all were his elders.  When he saw Uncle Kenneth Tsang Kong's OVERHEARD 2 performance he truly was stunned.  Speaking of Lucas being hospitalized for illness, some said for four days, he said, "That's crazy, just one day.  He's fine.  During the New Year I had a stuffy nose too."

Lau Ching Wan this year had two Best Actor nominations.  He thanked everyone for their support as he hoped to do his best for Hong Kong film.  Which film was he more confident about?  He said that the news was very sudden and he liked both characters.  Was he worried that his votes would be divided up?  He said that he would worry about that later, he was already very pleased to be nominated.  He also said that every year the competition was very strong, he only hoped that the award show would be entertaining.  Earlier he received the Film Critic Society Best Actor, was his confidence increased?  He said that this situation has already happened many times, but each time he would be excited.  Ultimately two organizations had different judging standards.

Jiang Wen and Ge You were both nominated for Best Actor.  Ge You was truly very happy to be nominated again with LET THE BULLETS FLY.  He was happier that he was nominated with director Jiang Wen.  He thanked the voters for their support and recognition.  Jiang Wen was working on a film in France.  His office responded, "LET THE BULLETS FLY received 13 Hong Kong Film Award nominations, which is the best recognition for Hong Kong film professionals who participated in this film on and off screen.  Thank you (Carina Lau) Ka Ling, Uncle (William Chang Suk Ping) and all the on and off camera workers.  The happiest was the Best Action Choreography nomination as we remember director Sit Chun Wai."  Nominated for Best Supporting Actress with LET, Lau Ka Ling was very grateful for everyone's recognition of her work.  She thanked director Jiang Wen and Ge You, Chang Suk Ping for the exceptionally wonderful costumes, she also thanked all viewers who liked her character.

Ip Tak Han was again nominated with A SIMPLE LIFE for Best Actress.  She only responded with "extremely honored".  Shu Qi was very happy and thanked director Andrew Lau Wai Keung and co-star Liu Ye.  Without those two handsome men A BEAUTIFUL LIFE's Shu Qi would not exist.  She would definitely attend if she would be in Hong Kong.  Gao Yuanyuan was both surprised and excited about her nomination, as she thanked everyone for recognizing her.

Tsui Hark said that he was very happy about FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE's 13 nominations, which was a honor for the entire creative team.  The film also was the result of the workers' hard work, the joy of nominations had to be shared with everyone.  Johnnie To Kei Fung with LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE was nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.  he said that this was a film that he liked very much.  He thanked the cast for their patience and giving him three years to make the film.  Ann Hui On Wa with A SIMPLE LIFE was nominated for Best Director.  She is in Taiwan and was very happy to be nominated, the happiest about the Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Cinematography nominations.  In addition, this year the Hong Kong Film Award received HK$5,668,400 from the film development council to assist in the production.  This year the award show will air live on TVB and Now.

[2012.02.06] SAMMI CHENG GIVES HERSELF AS VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT

courtesy of singtao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Louis Koo Tin Lok yesterday attended their new film premiere in Beijing.  Sammi's on screen husband Li Guangjie also appeared.  During the event, Goo Jai and Sammi were full of witty remarks and even sang the film theme song DO RE MI.  When Sammi was asked about Valentine's Day gift, she said, "I would give myself to him as a present."

Releasing simultaneously on Thursday in the Mainland and Hong Kong, ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) yesterday held its premiere in Beijing and attracted over 100 media members and fans.  The event first arranged for two children to play the film theme song, then played the music video before leads Sammi and Goo Jai appeared.  Always quick to the point, Goo Jai Jai was asked about his high plains production experience.  He said, "I have worked on the high plains before, I also have worked with Gao Yuanyuan before.  Actually the most difficult scene was when Sammi went mad and ran into the forest.  I had to carry her and deliver a very long lines.  At that time my leg was just injured.  It was deeply memorable."

Sammi sweetly smiled on the stage and kept "whispering" to Goo Jai and Li Guangjie.  When asked what she would recommend as a Valentine's Day gift.  She awkwardly smiled and said, "I think I will give myself to him as a gift!"  She directly caused a stir in the audience.  Later she again said, "If in reality my husband vanishes like in the film, I wouldn't give up either.  Even if I make a mess it's OK because I feel this is an expression of love."  How would she encourage people who are still single?  She said, "I need everyone's encouragement too!  Single people don't be anxious, married ones don't be arrogant."  Goo Jai also jokingly asked the host, "I am single too!  If I encourage them, who encourages me?"  The host said that as good friends if they had any relationship issues would they look for comfort from the other?  Goo Jai joked, "Why would she need comforting?  She can comfort."  Laughter arose.  In addition, playing Sammi's husband Li Guangjie said that he in the film actually played his wife's idol Koo Tin Lok.  He seriously treated his own love.  Did Goo Jai feel they resembled each other?  Goo Jai joked, "We look alike, including what everyone can see and what can't be seen too."

[2012.01.11] GAO YUANYUAN KEEPS ON REJECTING LOUIS KOO

courtesy of takungpao.com

ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) will be released on Valentine's Day.  Aside from Louis Koo Tin Lok and Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Gao Yuanyuan also guest starred as Koo Tin Lok's girlfriend.
Yuanyuan and Goo Jai worked together last year on DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI).  That time Yuanyuan chose Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), this time in ROMANCING IN THIN AIR Yuanyaun played a runaway bride!

During the shoot when Goo Jai proposed to Yunanyuan, Yuanyuan joked, "Last time he proposed to me in DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART and I didn't agree.  This time I agreed, but my fate with me was doomed.  On the wedding day, my miner first love (Wang Baoqiang) successfully stole me away and embarrassed Goo Jai in front of everyone."

Goo Jai joked that after Yuanyuan dumped him twice in a row, from now on whenever he saw her he would think of the words "eating lemon" (rejected).  He truly thanked To Sir (Johnnie To Kei Fung) for the double impact.  However, if not so his story with Sammi would not have started.

On the day of the wedding shoot, Goo Jai was reminded of THE BUND and laughed.  Goo Jai said that the wedding interruption was too classic.  Overseas it happened in THE GRADUATE and in Hong Kong in THE BUND.  He never imagined that one day he would work on one and be the victim at that.  Yuanyuan during the shoot had to wear a low cut wedding gown, but Wang Baoqiang dragged her away in the crowd.  She was afraid that her gown would be stepped on.  How would Goo Jai react if it happened to him?  He admitted that he had no idea.  If the bride wanted to go with someone else, he could not get her back even if he wanted to.

Louis Koo Tin Lok, Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Gao Yuanyuan and others yesterday attended the Fresh Wave 2011 International Short Film and Video closing ceremony and award presentation.  Goo Jai said that he was very supportive on new directors and hoped that they would have even more opportunities.  He said, "Hong Kong films have their own specialty, our support is also very important."

Goo Jai revealed that he planned to work on two new directors' films.  These two directors have never directed before.  Will he invest as the boss?  He said no as he would only do his own job.  Film productions not only needed money but also other coordination like film production companies.  However Goo Jai said that he would charge less or accept symbol laisee when working with new directors.  He did not mind the money, in addition actor prices have always been seasonal and fluctuated.

Gao Yuanyuan worked with Goo Jai on the film ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN).  Earlier they worked on a mobile phone ad in the Mainland.  Did Yuanyuan like Goo Jai's type?  She said that every time she worked with Goo Jai, her female friends would ignore her as they would be more concerned with Goo Jai.

Cheung Ka Fai also said that he encouraged the young new generation to support Hong Kong films.  He wished Hong Kong films would return to the glory days.  He was glad to play the role of assisting colleagues.  Speaking of Taiwan film's improving performance recently, Ka Fai said that every place's film had highs and lows.  Hopefully the Hong Kong depression was a little shorter.  As someone from Hong Kong he of course would help Hong Kong films.

The Johnnie To Kei Fung and Wai Ka Fai produced, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Gao Yuanyuan starred DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) officially opened on March 31st. Yesterday according to Mainland cinema circuits, after the Ching Ming Festival holiday ended the film already exceeded 60 million at the box office. At the same time in Hong Kong this film also crushed other films to be the box office championship. Its Hong Kong box office already exceeded 5 million. According to circuit prediction, the film's true viewing peak actually will be the upcoming weekend when it will break 100 million.

Mainland cinema circuit operator analyzed, "March had many films, but most were small budget films. They lacked topics and had a very hard time motivating cinema popularity and heat. However DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART not only had a strong team, the biggest advantage was it was topical. Each viewer would relate to it, female viewers in particular. At least in these two hours everyone wanted to be the Gao Yuanyuan played Cheng Zixin."

In addition, aside from the film's enthusiastic response in the mainland, in Hong Kong it also won the box office. For the Hong Kong film market that has always been foreign film driven it was indeed very a rare sight.

[2011.03.31] LOUIS KOO PLAYS A JERK IN HOT PURSUIT OF GAO YUANYUAN

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

The film DON't GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) starred Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Gao Yuanyuan. The story was the older than dirt two men one women love triangle. Goo Jai played a financial genius who had a fast food attitude toward love. Instead Ng Yin Cho took love long and slow. They used a lot of tricks in order to win over Gao Yuanyuan's heart.

Goo Jai said that his character was a jerk who expressed the Post 80s and 90s fast food romance culture. The view on love was also flimsier and a huge comparison to Ng Yin Cho's character. Did Goo Jai have any good idea of getting girls? He said, "The most memorable part of the film was when Gao Yuanyuan forgot her keys. I had to climb four stories. At the time because I had a cruciate ligament injury, I had to personally climb up even if I was crippled. Luckily I finished it in two takes." Goo Jai said that the result was natural, without any "wire" or double. Was he concerned about his safety during the shoot? Goo Jai said, "Because I had to climb while delivering my lines, actually it was pretty high up. If I feel it would've been a big deal. If you are after a girl you have to be like this and be gutsy." Would he use similar ideas to get girls in reality? "In my teens I tried giving flowers on Valentine's Day, now I don't have time to do that. Instead after the computer rose in popularity, I could go online to look up ideas." Goo Jai said that he would not deliberate create romance. "When I chatted with friends, I realized that romance did not need to be created deliberately. Instead a shoulder already feels very secure. Also when together you have to know the other person's personality, naturally go with your heart then you are fine."

Gao Yuanyuan who worked with Johnnie To Kei Fung for the first time honestly said that at first she was confused about what the director was asking for. She said, "The first scene was very simple. I walk on the streets of Central. I thought of many ways to walk, after more than a dozen takes the director still didn't accept one. Finally the director taught me a gesture to perform. After a few more scenes I gradually understood what he wanted." As for working with Goo Jai, Gao Yuanyuan said, "Although we worked together on ROB B HOOD (BO BUI GAI WAT), we at the time had very little lines so at first we were more like strangers. Later To Sir took us to dinner and we gradually built a bond."

[2011.03.28] ROMANCE IN SHANGHAI FOR LOUIS KOO AND GAO YUANYUAN

courtesy of takungpao.com

DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) two days ago held a Shanghai premiere. Louis Koo Tin Lok and Gao Yuanyuan attended. They joked that with Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) they could not form the Chinese character "mad" so they could romantically be in a world of two in peace. Earlier the film's Shanghai screening response was hot. Viewers had a particularly deep impression of the film's 36 ways to get a girl. Koo Tin Lok said that romance could be recreated. Guys could learn from many points in the film.

Goo Jai also said that the film's biggest point was not who Gao Yuanyuan ended up with but the romantic ways in the film. "Although sports cars and mansions require money, romantic ideas can still be learned from." For their love, Koo Tin Lok and Ng Yin Cho came up with their own ways: throwing cash around and buying sports cars and mansions, doing magic tricks to be romantic, dancing passionately at midnight, and brawling like children. Koo Tin Lok and Ng Yin Cho performed air delivery of love, as they posted a variety of smiling faces on the office windows to cheer up Gao Yuanyuan who was in the building across the street.

[2011.03.26] LOUIS KOO AND DANIEL WU EXCHANGE PLEASANTRIES

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Gao Yuan Yuan yesterday gathered in Beijing to attend the film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI)'s premiere. Gao Yuanyuan honestly said that choosing between two hunks was very difficult, it would be the best to be able to take them back home. The film will open on March 31.

In the film Goo Jai played an "Earth Man" who was popular with the ladies. Ng Yin Cho played the "Mars Man" who faithfully waits. They both in the film separately began pursuing Gao Yuanyuan. The film's variety of ideas made the film a forum on how to win over a woman's heart, but at the press conference they traded compliments. Goo Jai praised Ng Yin Cho as having a sense of security. Ng Yin Cho said that Goo Jai was romantic and often said, "Then I have to pick him!" Who would Yuanyuan pick? She directly said, "Either one I would have regrets, this time I plan to take them both home!"

[2011.03.23] GAO YUANYUAN CLUELESSLY SUPPORTS JACKIE CHAN

courtesy of takungpao.com

Gao Yuanyuan, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and producer Wai Ka Fai two nights ago attended the DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) premiere.

Working with Jackie Chan on ROB B HOOD (BO BUI GAI WAT) 5 years ago, Gao Yuanyuan said about Mainland star Xu Jinglei's earlier "kiss" with Jackie Chan in Beijing, "The news is nonsense, I don't want to talk about it." Later she said that goodbye kiss actually was very normal, but perhaps it was a big deal when it happened between Chinese people. When she worked with Jackie Chan, she pointed out Big Brother treated everyone great and was not arrogant at all. he would even do set chores like moving boxes, which surprised her. She also felt that a kiss was only a polite gesture, but reporters claimed that Big Brother kissed Xu Jinglei's lips. She said, "On the cheek was fine, but on the lips was too passionate."

Goo Jai revealed that earlier for the new film HIGH ALTITUDE ROMANCE 2 (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) he worked on drinking and riding a motorcycle scene. During the shoot he did not know about a slope and carefully went off a hill. He said, "At the time I was already alert and jumped off right away, but my hand landed first on the ground. Finally the right wrist tendon was torn. However the doctor said it was very minor. The crew even praised that my jump looked great!" After the DON'T promotion Goo Jai would return to work in Shangri-La and still had water scenes and action scenes. He honestly said that he would like to take two to three months off to go on vacation with his family, but now it would be tough. He would still fight for it though.

With the recent earthquake and tsunami that Japan suffered, the event sent its deepest consolation and well wishes and wished for luck for the Japanese people.

This time she would like to see the most COME RAIN COME SHINE and E-LOVE. Playing more comedy in the past, in recent years Chin Wa made more romantic films. She was happy to be able to try different genres. In June she will work on LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU) sequel. She honestly said that she would like to finish it faster because she needed to keep trying for a child. She said, "Actually I have already been trying very hard, but it depends on fate in particular now. Although negative energy existed before as well, I cherish everything and think that family was very important. I also have to eat more and stop losing weight."

Goo Jai last night appeared with facial hair, which was his look for his new film ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN). In the story after a heart break he went into the mountains to become a wild man. As for his expectation for DON'T, Goo Jai said that the Mainland film screening responses were great and received praised online. Thus he hoped the Hong Kong audience would like it too.

The provocatively dressed Yuanyaun honestly said that she was used to the cold. As for choosing between Goo Jai and Ng Yin Cho for a boyfriend, she honestly said that she would choose Ng Yin Cho because Goo Jai in the film was very unfaithful. She thought that love was one on one, not one on two or three. If in real life both pursued her, she said that it was not something to be happy about because one was enough. Two was not too good. Did the single Goo Jai meet her mate criteria? She said that in the film Goo Jai was very cute. In reality he was also very friendly and kind, but she did not understand him too much. If she chose him as a boyfriend from that she would feel bad.

[2011.03.15] LOUIS KOO HAS A LITTLE FUN WITH GAO YUANYUAN IN BED

In the film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) Louis Koo Tin Lok was a sure fire lady killer. He and lead actress Gao Yuanyuan had many bed scenes. Yuanyuan said that at first she was afraid how far they would go. She communicated many times with the director before reaching an ideal standard for everyone. Because this scene took place in Yuanyuan's home, she had the home field advantage. The director thought that she should be more natural and wild, asking her to passionately sit on Goo Jai then remove her top. Yuanyuan said that on the day of the shoot she thought that she could naturally perform the scene, but Goo Jai was too humorous. During rehearsal when she sat on hi, Goo Jai joked, "Wow! Great!" They immediately cracked up and all romantic passion was lost.

Goo Jai explained that actually he did not want to deliberately be funny because when he worked on Johnnie To Kei Fung's movies he tried to avoid having too many bad takes. Only that seeing how mild mannered Gao Yuanyuan was usually and suddenly she was sitting on him and taking off her clothes, he thought that he should praise her professionalism. Seeing how she could not hold her laughter, from then on he did not dare say too much. In one scene, Yuanyuan threw Goo Jai out of her home. Goo Jai in a white tank top looked very awkward. Goo jai thought that if he had to yell at someone else it would be even more awkward. In the story he had to yell at the nosy neighbor, who was played by a costume assistant on the team. He was afraid that if he was too mean, he would end up with some grotesque costumes.

Goo Jai said that being thrown out was not his most memorable scene. The most memorable scene for him was choosing many different types of condoms next to the car. He joked that he has never many so many condoms in his hand all at once in his life and it was truly quite a scene to behold. The film company set up a cardboard cut out in Causeway Bay for anyone to fill in for Gao Yuanyuan and receive a kiss from two hunks at the same time. Many pedestrians have already taken photos at the location and caused a stir, making the property security to intervene and move the cardboard back to the wall in order to keep the traffic flowing.

The Johnnie To Kei Fung and Wai Ka Fai produced film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) two nights ago held a screening in Beijing. Buddies Tsui Hark, Ching Siu Tung, Mainland director Wang Xiaoshuai, Zhang Guoli and Huang Yi attended in support. Nearly 300 people attended.

Zhang Guoli was asked if he was a woman would he choose Louis Koo Tin Lok or Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho)? He joked that he would choose the middle one in the poster (Gao Yuanyuan). He said that he and To Kei Fung were good friends. He has always wanted to be in his movies, but he always declined to cast him. After the screening, everyone spoke with the press. Mainland director Wang Xiaoshuai pointed out that Gao Yuanyuan was very refreshing and elegant. He would give the film a score of 9.8. He thought that he would be more like Ng Yin Cho in the film. Tsui Hark said that as a man, he thought the courting ideas in the films had variety and truly worth men to learn from. Women would be very excited after watching it.

Gao Yuanyuan due to work did not arrived until after the show. She immediately raised a glass to toast the directors and friends. When she toasted Wang Xiaoshuai she called him "Comrade Wang Xiaoshuai". Later Director Wang was asked about that, he joked that he like Ng Yin Cho waited for her for many years but in the end he became a "comrade". Yuanyuan did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

In addition, Koo Tin Lok said that this production felt like "a mouthful of sugar, a mouthful of crap". Everyone thought that he had an easy time for this film because he had different girls at his disposal. Taiwan model Larisa Angela (Shui Sa) stood out the most. She in order to stop Goo Jai's nosebleed lay on top of Goo Jai. Hong Kong representative JJ Jia (Ga Hiu Sun) also wore a low cut dress when she met with Goo Jai. Seemingly Goo Jai with less tolerance would not be able to handle them. Yet each time after Goo Jai got lucky he would anger his beloved Gao Yuanyuan. In one
scene Yuanyuan slapped him and threw water at him. Yuanyuan honestly said that she was somewhat sorry about slapping Goo Jai. Because at that moment she completely had to imagine Goo Jai as a very, very, very bad man so she slapped him hard five times and threw water at Goo Jai five times. Goo Jai instead laughed and said that it was nothing.

[2011.02.26] LOUIS KOO CLIMBS FOUR STORIES TO KISS GAO YUANYUAN

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

The 35th Hong Kong International Film Festival opening film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) could not avoid intimate scenes due to it being a light romantic film. However these kiss scenes were funnier than others. In one scene Louis Koo Tin Lok in order to kiss Gao Yuanyuan had to overcome an assortment of obstacles, climbing walls, demolishing homes, and even passing the director Johnnie To Kei Fung to be able to kiss the beauty.

In the story Yuanyuan forgot her keys. Expert climber Koo Tin Lok climbed to her fourth floor home then into it through a bathroom window. As soon as he got into the home ten bras that hung by the window covered his head, then he had to rapidly decorate Yuanyuan's home. He arranged sticky notes and candles into heart shapes to win Yuanyuan's heart. Then they had a marathon kiss. However this performance had difficulties at every turn. First he had to personally perform the four story climb in one take. Finally Goo Jai climbed for three hours before he was able to get indoors for the shoot. The crew was concerned for Goo Jai's safety so it cautiously put him in wires. He only took four times to complete the climb. Only before the shoot the positions and camera coordination rehearsals were time consuming. When they got indoors for the "eight diagram bra trap", Goo Jai excitedly said, "Although I have worked on movies about bras, this time had so many and they kept brushing my head. I also had to struggle with them. I really thought they were somewhat cursed and I should get some pummelo leaf shampoo!"

As for Goo Jai and Yuanyuan's marathon kiss, they had to keep taking their marks. They kissed as they went almost all over the home to every corner. They had to study the entire route to be certain. To Sir even displayed his do it himself personality. In order for them to perform more convincingly, To Sir sacrificed him in Yuanyuan's role and tried the mark with Goo Jai. With 0.5 centimeters more his lips would have been on Goo Jai's. Goo Jai said, "Hey! Don't you really kiss! I am afraid I wouldn't be able to hold myself back!" Yuanyuan and Goo Jai said that this kiss scene was not romantic at all, because they had to keep taking their markets they constantly had bumps and bruises. Yuanyuan joked, "Goo Jai's nose ran into mine several times, we knocked foreheads sometimes. I had to tolerate the pain to make this kiss scene, so it
wasn't romantic at all."

[2011.02.18] DANIEL WU, LOUIS KOO KEEP KISSING GAO YUANYUAN

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of mingpao.com

Louis Koo Tin Lok, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and Gao Yuanyuan in the film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) develop a love triangle and through the poster express the Chinese character for "mad". Goo Jai and Ng Yin Cho during the poster shoot competed from the beginning to the end. They not only made a variety of poses to fight over Gao Yuanyuan but also had to keep kissing her cheek as many as 100 times. Gao Yuanyuan said, "Many girls should hate me!" Ng Yin Cho said, "I really kissed her more than I kiss my wife." Goo Jai said, "We spent more time kissing than making the movie, but in the movie we kissed on the lips. This time we kissed on the cheek. My lips were numb from all the kissing!" Then they had to jump many times. Ng Yin Cho who gained 20 pounds for another movie almost jumped 100 times. He joked, "I was afraid that after the post shoot I would immediately lose 10 pounds back, that would have been a waste of effort!" He was luckier than Goo Jai though. Because Goo Jai's jumps were cuter, the photographer after a series of shots asked him to jump again. Goo Jai said, "I am a little tired. Two nights ago I flew back to Hong Kong and this morning I exercised so much."

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Johnnie To Kei Fung new film DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI) will be released on March 31. To coordinate with the upcoming Valentine's Day, recently the film released a Valentine's Day online card that originally had Louis Koo Tin Lok and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) kissing Gao Yuanyuan on each cheek. However someone online removed Yuanyuan, made the two actors kiss, changed the title SINGLE MAN MAN and the slogan to Koo Tin Lok loves Ng Yin Cho. Gao Yuanyuan vanished without a trace.

After the prank, the card spread even further and immediately became the top ten more distributed news online that day with nearly 30,000 distributions. Seemingly everyone was more interested in the two men kissing than the original two men one woman story. Many women online said that they thought it was true and thus felt very heart broken. In addition some men online was unusually excited and looked forward to it because they thought the film was about two men. Ah To was very surprised after seeing the doctored card and said, "Why would they come up with that? My film title is SINGLE MAN WOMAN!" Koo Tin Lok said, "I really can't believe how great people online are to me! Today is Valentine's Day, not April Fool's day! I have kissed many girls on the set, but it is the first time I kissed a man. I can't believe my first time went to Daniel." Many women online said that they would like to become Gao Yuanyuan and have two men kissing them at the same time. Goo Jai jokingly said no problem. He asked the film company to make a cardboard cut out for people to stick their heads in place of Gao Yuanyuan's.

"Right now I am focused on work! In the future I definitely will have a boyfriend, If I do I would share and not hide. Ultimately I am not dating right now!" For the first trip we will stay many months, for the second two weeks." This time the team will head to a high altitude location, will it have more insurance? To Sir said, "Definitely! We will buy policies for everyone! At the same time to handle the high altitude issue we will arrange for a doctor to tag along, and go by land instead of air. Hopefully we will be able to adjust to the high altitude locale!"
