Tonight, the 24th Harbin ice and snow film festival and the 2nd Chinese Film Industry Celebration takes place in Harbin.  Famous director and superstars glitter on the red carpet.

Chinese Film Industry Celebration Awards is the Harbin city party committee, Harbin city government, China Film Critic Society organized and attracted the attention of Chinese film industry people.  Leon Lai Ming, Charlie Yeung Choi Nei, Tong Dawei, Wang Xuebing, Yuen Biao, Yuen Wah, Chopstick Brothers and others appeared.

This Ice and Snow Film Festival continues to make the "Chinese Film Industry Celebration" into the Chinese film industry's film celebration with the most modern features of industry trends.  As the nucleus activity the 2nd Chinese Film Industry Celebration this year will continue to make the entire Chinese film industry its discussion background.  According to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television's publication comprehensive film special funding office and cinema circuit receipts the previous year's Chinese film industry awards were handed out.  At the same time, special design awards were set up to encourage Chinese film industry development and promote film professionals and companies that have made outstanding contribution.

Lai Ming came to Harbin without his wife Gaile Lok.  He attended with Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) but he was just as happy.  Although Lee Chi Ting has not been in the business for too long, he already has certain recognition in music and movies.  This year he receives the event's 2011 Chinese Film Industry Outstanding Cross Over Performance Award.

Lee Chi Ting in 2009 won the Best New Performer Hong Kong Film Award and received opportunities from a variety of big time directors to get in contact with different characters.  This time he was very happy to have a chance to accept the award in Harbin.  This year he has two film releases, THE ALLURE OF TEARS (KING SING JI LUEN) and COLD WAR (HONG JIN).  Has he asked Leon for advice on how to prepare for a performance?  He picked up Leon's golden words, "Inaccuracy is the best preparation!"  He said that he remembered Leon has said that the most important thing in acting is be yourself, start with your own feelings and not too watch too many performance of other people, then you would have individuality.

The Media Asia Group two nights ago held a Spring Banquet.  Its singers and artists including Leon Lai Ming, Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Johnnie To Kei Fung, Josie Ho Chiu Yi, William So Wing Hong, William So Wing Hong, Real Ting Chi Go and his wife Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, 24 Herbs, Andy Hui Chi On, Justin Lo (Juk Tin), Edison Chen Koon Hei, Ivana Wong Yuen Chi, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) and his wife Lisa S., Janice Man Wing Shan, Japanese group EXILE lead singer Atsushi Yesterday was Chin Wa's Lunar birthday, which the event celebrated.  Chin Wa even announced that her baby will very likely be a boy.

Before the Spring Banquet began, boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok led the artists and the guests for a group photo on the stage and held a toast ceremony.  After the ceremony, the host invited Chin Wa to remain on the stage and brought out a cake to celebrate her birthday.  Yet the host revealed that Chin Wa was 38 and said that two nights ago was Chin Wa's Lunar and regular birthday, which happens only once every 19 years.  Chin Wa said, "Why would you tell people it only happens once every 19 years."  Later she with her husband Ting Chi Ko cut the cake as if they were reenacting the wedding ceremony.  Chin Wa could not help but laugh.  She also made a wish for good health for everyone, children and wealth, and luck in love.

Two nights ago many artists performed, EXILE lead singer Atsushi sang I DO and won applause from everyone.  When So Wing Hong performed THAT SOMEBODY (NA SHUI), Lai Ming even jokingly went on stage to present flowers.  Two nights ago many artists put up cash for the lucky drawing.  Big Boss Lam Kin Ngok put up 30,000, Lai Ming 5,000, Chin Wa 2,000 and others.  Chin Wa was five months pregnant.  Did her cup size increase?  She said of course.  Was Mr. Ting very satisfied with his wife's figure?
He said that he has always been.  Chin Wa joked, "Did you eat the honesty red bean bun?"  Earlier Lam Kin Ngok revealed that she was carrying a son, Chin Wa said that she and Mr. Lam both originate from Chaozhou so they were more traditional.  She did not mind boy or girl, this pregnancy would very likely be a son but the ultrasound was not clear.

How did Chin Wa celebrate her birthday?  She said that two nights ago she had a party with family and friends.  Ting Chi Ko decorated the venue to give her a pleasant surprise.  When asked about her birthday wish, Chin Wa said that the most important was health and safety.  What did Mr. Ting give to his wife?  He said that the party was it.  Did he give anything extra this year?  He joked, "I already gave it to her.  She is pregnant, the gift can be displayed for an entire year."  Chin Wa said, "So gross."  Speaking of taking care of the baby, Mr. Ting admitted that she had talent and joked that he knew which kind of bottle would leak milk, because he had friends with babies too.  In addition, Gaile Lok recently was rumored to be pregnant, Lai Ming two nights ago took the initiative to clarify.  He said, "No lying during the Lunar New Year.  She isn't, don't misunderstand."  Reportedly he bought a home in the U.S. for Gaile Lok's pregnancy.  Lai Ming said, "Did I buy a home?  Yes, that's it!"

The Leon Lai Ming, Zhang Hanyu, Anthony Wong Chau Sun and Liu Yifei starred film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON YIN) has been released in the Mainland for a week and reached 130 million at the box office to win the triple crown of total single week box office, admission rate and show quantity.  Director Daniel Lee Yan Kong was rather satisfied with the performance.  He said that WHITE VENGEANCE was not a historical documentary.  He did not need to follow the history books and recommended the chess match as the key of the entire film; at the game Fan Zeng almost drove Zhang Liang to his death, which displayed how much of a battle of wit the game was.

The Daniel Lee Yan Kong directed film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON IN) starred Leon Lai Ming, Zhang Hanyu, Feng Shaofeng, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Liu Yifei, Jordan Chan Siu Chun and others.  Lee Yan Kong pointed out that this film was not only the turning point of the Chu Han conflict, Xiang Yu and Consort Yu's love was classic among ancient romance.  Thus in this film he arranged for Feng Shaofeng who played Xiang Yu and Liu Yifei who played Consort Yu to die for love in the snow.  The Western Chu King and the Concubine's love was the most gut wrenching legend, this scene was made for the audience to cry.

Aside from Xiang Yu and Consort Yu's earth shattering love.  Lee Yan Kong in the film added Liu Bang's crush on Consort Yu because he thought Consort Yu was absolutely the most beautiful, there was no way that only Xinag Yu fell for her.  As Liu Bang in the film, Lai Ming joked that he secretly fell for Liu Yifei, but her love for Xiang Yu was like a swan.  Even if Liu Bang loved her, she only loved the King.  Director Lee Yan Kong said that to make the romantic element stand out in an "all male" film, the first condition was "quality over quantity" because the love between Xiang Yu and Consort Yu truly was etched into the bones, so tear jerking that seemingly no one could replace them.

Leon Lai Ming, Andy On Chi Kit and director Daniel Lee Yan Kong two nights ago attended the film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON YIN) premiere.  Andy's girlfriend Jennifer Tse Ting Ting and her father Patrick Tse Ying also attended in support.  The director said that when he thought about actors to play the lead Liu Bang, he immediately thought of Lai Ming.  Lai Ming also said that he has never just read the script for three hours before immediately agreeing to the role.

Lai Ming said that as a Hong Kong actor he actually had a harder and harder time finding a good script, because after inspection certain minor adjustments would be made.  This time he read the script in Mandarin and thought it flowed very smoothly, directly and simply.  He believed that the director's history background was great.  Earlier while promoting in Beijing he has already seen the film.  Will he have to work during Christmas?  Lai Ming revealed that this was the final stop of the promotion, but he still did not know whether he will have to work.  He would like to work hard on his concert rehearsal the most.

The Daniel Lee Yan Kong directed WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON YIN) had Leon Lai Ming, Zhang Hanyu, Liu Yifei, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Jordan Chan Siu Chun and others in its cast.  Lee Yan Kong said that WHITE VENGEANCE was a life and death psychological battle, thus a lot of effort went into the script creation.  Even actor personalities went into character designs.  "Liu Bang originally was somewhat indecisive and honorable, but with an one-sided war, in order to become the Emperor he had to be very devious.  He became introverted and not easily show his hand.  I chose Lai Ming because he was low key and had the aura of a king.  He could be good or evil, in command of complex humanity changes.
Thus the result was great."

Hong Kong Film New Action -- Film Industry and Multimedia Industry Cross Platform Collaboration giant promotional project press conference took place yesterday.  Attendees included the Film Council vice
chair Peter Lam Kin Ngok, with the Cheung Sing Seung, Teddy Chan Tak Sum, Lawrence Cheng Tang Shui, Gordon Lam Ka Tung, Josie Ho Chiu Yi, Conroy Chan Chi Chung and Teddy Robin Kwan formed Hong Kong new century producer representative team.  They later would conduct an exchange event in Taiwan.  Lam Kin Ngok pointed out that on this trip to Taiwan, he will be able to directly exchange the latest film and multimedia industry market information with Taiwan producers.  He hoped to open the door of collaboration.  Next March many events will also take place during the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market, which will provide a negotiation platform for Hong Kong new century producers and Mainland and overseas filmmakers to assist them and the Internet industry and the new media industry operators to confirm commercial collaboration projects.

Leon Lai Ming Gaile Lok have not appeared in public since their divorce rumors.  Lai Ming yesterday attended the 2nd New York Chinese Film Festival in New York and received the "Most Outstanding Asian artist award".  Leon on the rare occasion walked the red carpet with his wife and dispelled divorce rumors with action.  At the same time he shared the joy of the award with his wife.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television satellite channel program production center and Chinese American Arts Councils took place in New York Lincoln Center.  Lai Ming received the "the Most Outstanding Asian Artist award".  He appeared with his wife Gaile Lok and both were dressed in black.  They held hands on the red carpet.

Leon admitted that he was very honored to receive the award in New York and hoped that Asian and Chinese films would be better and better and received even more nations' recognition.  Gaile said that earlier she went to California.  On the day before going to work in Beijing he happened to have a day to be able to fly to New York.  Thus she supported Leon in person.  Leon's other objective on this trip was the global premiere of his film WHITE VENGEANCE (HUNG MOON YIN).

2011 FIRST youth film festival two nights ago took place at the Xinning Qinghai University.  Zhang Ziyi with LOVE FOR LIFE (JUI OI) won Best Actress again and the "the Chinese filmmaker with the most international university student attention".  Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) with OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) defeated SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI) and DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK)'s Andy Lau Tak Wa to win Best Actor.  In the Best Actress category, Zhang Ziyi had over 30,000 votes more than second place Fan Bingbing.

This event hoped through young university student exchanges to discover even more new filmmakers.  When jury members and guest presenters Teddy Chan Tak Sum and Guan Hu presented the award to Zhang Ziyi, she humorously said, "I too just ended my summer vacation.  I am preparing to start school with my course DANGEROUS LIAISON, thank you everyone for your recognition and high grade of my course last year LOVE FOR LIFE.  I hope very much to have the chance to work with young directors in the future.  I too hope that I will be able to provide them with an even better platform, for young filmmakers with ideas in China to be able to display their own stage."  At the same time she again won the "Chinese filmmaker with the most international university student attention".  She took a deep breath, carried that heavy "brick", smiled and said, "Tonight all the friends who won said that this award was heavy like a brick.  I too told friends that this could be called the 'youth film golden brick award'.  I volunteer to be the best spokesperson."

Ziyi also said, "Among Chinese actresses I have to the one who have been beaten with bricks the most and the most viciously.  Yet I want to tell everyone, as long as you still have a breath, as long as you haven't been beaten to death, you have to bravely stand up and happily run toward your goal and your dream."  This self ridicule won the cheers and the applause of the entire venue.  Later reporters asked her about her gossip with Leon Lai Ming.  She said, "It's absurd.  I hope from now on people will keep making up stories for me, after fooling reporters they can fool me."
