courtesy of on.cc

Kwai Lun-Mei after playing a student in SECRET (BUT NUNG SHUET DIK BEI MUK) was typecast as an innocent girl but she wanted to break through the idea. Not only did she not want to play a student but in recent years she also tried different characters. Yet in the new film REST ON MY SHOULDER she played a student again, which she said she did completely because of director Jacob Cheung Chi Leung. She also revealed that this character was very difficult since she had to play the age 16 role at age 26. She even said that as long as the director had the guts she would consider challenging the ugly character "Yu Fa".

Gigi Leung Wing Kei earlier went to Shanghai for the film REST ON YOUR SHOULDER press conference. Recently she has been commuting between Beijing and Shanghai. She said that at 5AM she would get up to catch her flight, but to promote the film she would try to coordinate.
Ultimately finishing a film production was not easy. In the film she worked with Chen Kun for the first time. She praised him as very happy, often cheering up the set. He loved to share ways to a healthy life. Once he saw her running outdoors in Hokkaido and immediately stopped her,
saying that sweating in the winter was bad for a woman's health.

Gigi has always worked to work with director Jacob Cheung Chi Leung, who she praised as gentle and honest. She felt that he was the character in the film. When asked whether she was confident about winning the Best Actress Jin Jue award, Gigi said of course she would be happy if she won. She would like the director to win Best Picture the most, then she would definitely cry.

She revealed in July she will work on Wong Jing's new film with Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and Chapman To Man Jat.

Competing for the Jin Jue Award, the fantasy romance REST ON YOUR SHOULDER appeared at the Shanghai International Film Festival. Director Jacob Cheung Chi Leung had a neck problem, Chen Kun was working overseas, Kwai Lun-Mei was busy with the Asian new comer jury work, so the press conference was only left with Gigi Leung Wing Kei and Jiang Yiyan.

Leung Wing Kei played a veteran reporter in the film. The three female leads in the film were recognized as Jin Jue Award Best Actress competitors. Leung Wing Kei responded that her character in the film was very independent and loving, the entire film production was very pleasant. "I hope more for the director and other actors to win, whether I win it truly doesn't matter. I won't feel any regret." Speaking of working with Chen Kun, Leung Wing Kei sighed, "In the film Siu Mei and I were his left and right shoulders, we both rely on him. Yet in real life, I prefer to be an adventurous butterfly." When asked in life would she go so crazy for love, Leung Wing Kei calmly said, "If love touches me, I would definitely be willing to give." Reporters asked whether Leung Wing Kei had such an experience in the past. Leung Wing Kei wisely laughed. "You give me one night, after I think about it I will tell you!"

However in her private interaction with Chen Kun, Leung Wing Kei revealed without any hesitation that she would interestingly call Chen Kun "Uncle Kun" while Chen Kun called her "Auntie Leung". Leung Wing Kei even praised that Chen Kun privately was a very fun person. "In life he is a very attentive guy who also is passionate about acting." The other lead Taiwan popular idol Kwai Lun-Mei said, in the film she played a scientific study companion of Chen Kun. "in real life I am willing to be a 'shoulder' to make people feel a sense of duty and responsibility." In the film playing Chen Kun's fiance, Jiang Yiyan said, "He is very elegant, very refreshing". She said that although the butterfly stole many of her scenes, she played two roles and was "switched identity". She thought it was worth it. REST ON MY SHOULDER will open nationwide on July 8.
