The film THE ALLURE OF TEARS (KING SING JI LUEN) premiere took place two nights ago.  Attending actors included Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) and Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui and others.  Three days ago was Lee Chi Ting's 25th birthday and the event celebrated with cake.  During the event, an umbrella fell from above and the actors all jumped back in fright.  Luckily no one was hurt. Later Siu Chai and Gigi were asked if they cross someone.  Gigi joked that perhaps someone could not get Siu Chai's concert ticket.  Siu Chai joked that Lady GaGa's tickets would be more like it.  He said, "Whatever!  Make it my fault then."  However, Siu Chai hoped that everyone would pay attention to safety.  No matter how bad everyone's mood was, no one should do this.  He believed this was a prank.

Gigi in the film had to learn to play the violin and took lessons with violinist Yao Jue, who came in support two nights ago.  Gigi said that she only learned for a little more than a month, thus when she played a scene with the Shanghai symphony orchestra she became to feel guilty.  Siu Chai joked of course, because they brought several million in musical instruments to rehearsal.  They were all valuable collectibles, even the cheapest was 100,000 or so.  Siu Chai said, "Once in the rain we rushed to cover the instruments, not people."

Was Gigi interested in picking up the violin again?  She said that she was not young anymore and truly had difficulty.  Did she play for her husband?  Gigi said yes, because neither knew how to play they thought it was very convincing.  She pointed out that during the shoot, her husband came to Hong Kong and stayed with her at the hotel for three days to learn the violin.  Siu Chai joked, "No wonder you didn't dine with us, with a face full of love!"

Did Lee Chi Ting feel the umbrella was the act of a fan?  He said that would be impossible because he has always been mild mannered and not violent.  He believed that his fans would not do that.  He said luckily no one was hurt.  As for his birthday wish, Lee Chi Ting wished for world peace and a good Hong Kong.

Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Xie Na, Natalie Meng Yao and Lin Miaoke two days ago attended Wong Jing's new film MARRY MR. PERFECT (GA GOR YUT BAK FUN NAM YUI) press conference.  The film has been slated for a Mainland, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia release on March 16th.  Wong Jing said that he put a lot of effort into the film and it was his first workplace romantic comedy.  Effects and comedy in it surpassed many of his previous work and ideas.  It had many comedy elements that his previous films did not have.

During the production, the cast had good news after good news.  First lead actor Ronald Cheng Chung Kei had a daughter and became the "perfect old dad"; then the three female leads Leung Wing Kei, Xie Na, Meng Yao all found their "perfect men".  Wong Jing said that he was very shocked himself.  "This film witnessed the cast's happiest moments and truly lived up to the name 'film of wonder'.  I hope this spring it will be able to deliver this wonderful force to every viewer so everyone can receive the love and happiness that they have been waiting for."

However he was a little jealous too as he wanted to observe in person whether the three female leads' "perfect men" lived up to the standard.  He often gave them trouble, which made two female leads lament and turning the target back on Wong Jing "Actually Director Wong is the real perfect man, he is both funny and rich."  Wong Jing happily said, "The perfect man standards are all different.  I in my family's eyes am the perfect man.  Our two male leads Cheng Chung Kei and (Chapman) To Man Jat) are also perfect men."  Later Wong Jing complimented Leung Wing Kei, Xie Na and Meng Yao on their vision and immediately gave away three big red pockets to congratulate them on marrying the perfect men.

Charlie Yeung Choi Nei yesterday attended a shopping center New Spring decoration unveiling ceremony.  Later she will spend the Lunar New Year with her mother in Taiwan.  On this trip back to Hong Kong she also met with her newlywed sister Gigi Leung Wing Kei.  This year was Gigi's first year as a married woman and giving away laisee.  She joked, "Right, I definitely will ask her for it."

Charlie recently has been busy with directing as she planned for her first new film CHRISTMAS ROSE, which Charlie will write and director and invited directors Tsui Hark and Jacob Cheung Chi Leung to produce.  She pointed out that directors Tsui Hark and Cheung Chi Leung taught her a lot of filmmaking knowledge and asked their friends to help.  She did not know how to repay them.  She also said that her new film from script conception to the production start took three years.  She felt that it was not a long time since it was her first time and she did not have any experience.  She heard that some scripts after 7 to 8 years still have not been made.  Seemingly the entire team would charge "friend rates".  Who would she like the leads to be?  She said that although they have been confirmed she could not announce them yet.  Would she invite her good sisters?  She asked everyone to wait for the production start date.  She hoped to concentrate on the film preparation and would not participate on screen.  With the title would the film be a Christmas release?  She said that the film had nothing to do with Christmas, it only meant hope.

The Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) and Zhou Dongyu starred film ALLURE OF TEARS (KING SING JI LUI) had 3 stories.  Siu Chai and Gigi performed one of the day.  They were a music school's graduates.  In order to save their school that was facing bankrupcy they took their last chance to fulfill the dreams of their youth.  Siu Chai played Ding Dake, who promised a group of alumni to raise fund for the school with a concert with their former classmate, Gigi played Yang Lin, an internationally renowned violinist who 3 years ago suddenly retired.  They never would have guessed that Yang Lin retired because she lost her hearing in an accident.  A violinist who could no longer hear and a group of strange middle aged men for their dreams overcame a variety of hardship to complete an impossible mission.

In another story, Lee Chi Ting and Zhou Dongyu played a young cancer stricken couple.  Zhou Dongyu played the happy Mighty Girl who during treatment ran into fellow cancer patient, the Lee Chi Ting played cynical son of a rich man You Le.

The action epic GUONG FAI SHUI YUET (BRILLIANT PAST) two days ago held a press conference in Yunnan.  Attendees included Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Felix Wong Yat Wa, Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Max Mok Siu Chung, Rose Chan Ka Wun and others.

Tsang Chi Wai this time invited the married Leung Wing Kei to perform.  Gigi and Chi Wai worked together in 1998 on HITMAN (SAT SAU JI WONG), at the time they played father and daughter.  In the 2007 film DANGEROUS GAMES they played a couple.  This time Gigi and Wai Chi in the film also played a couple.

This was Gigi's first film after marriage.  She hoped that while she enjoyed the newlywed joy she would be able to focus on work.  She revealed that her husband often visited the set.  As for parenthood, Giig said that everything would take its natural course.  Chi Wai joked that Gigi and her husband never left their room, seemingly they were busy "making a person".  In addition, Tsang Chi Wai revealed that he will soon become a grandfather because his younger son's wife was pregnant.

The Barbara Wong Chun Chun directed THE ALLURE OF TEARS (KING SING JI LUI) two days ago was released simultaneously nationwide.  Its opening day box office already reached 10 million RMB and held its own against opening big films FLOWERS OF WAR and FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP 3D).  Executive producer Feng Kaishuai and director Wong Chun Chun was very excited about the film's Mainland success.

Wong Chun Chun said that ALLURE was a small romance.  At first she worried that viewers would choose the traditional large production, thus the entire team promoted even harder at many major cities in hopes of attracting even more young viewers.  Thus its opening was able to hold its own against two large films.  It was a shot of confidence into the entire team.  Hopefully the film's future Hong Kong release will perform well as well.  One of the lead actresses Gigi Leung Wing Kei happily said, "Everyone said that I was lucky.  I too hoped to be able to bring my luck to this film so it would perform better and better at the box office.  If it will pass 100 million, I will treat everyone to dinner.  Executive producer Daniel will take everyone on vacation to celebration."

Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) and Stanley Huang (Wong Lap Hung) and Gigi Leung Wing Kei starred in the romance DEAR ENEMY, which joined the holiday fray.  Earlier, Aarif and director Xu Jinglei, Wong Lap Hung and Christy Chung Lai Tai attended the Beijing global premiere.  Then he went to many cinemas and had face to face exchanges with enthusiastic fans.

Aarif revealed that this film was about a financial industry war.  He played a reporter who continued to dig and tail for stories.  Aarif said that his character was a destroyer but also a builder who witnessed Xu Jinglei and Wong Lap Hung's "intimate" relationship.  Local media pointed out that his character was absolutely a representative of the new generation otaku.  Aarif said, "When I played this character, the first thing was to study how to look the most convincing with the camera.  In the film the camera was a tool that I constantly held."  A stranger to the financial industry, he in order to play this outstanding financial person even asked for his friends in the financial world for advice in order to smoothly deliver the film's professional terms.

The film was Aarif's first with a Mainland director.  He was both surprised and pleased to be able to work with Xu Jinglei.  He revealed that Xu Jinglei was a very strict teacher but also gave a lot of development space to her actors.  The collaboration process was both pleasant and comfortable.

Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) will have two films including THE ALLURE OF TEARS (KING SING JI LUI) and DEAR ENEMY (CHUN MUK DIK YUN) to be released during the holidays in the Mainland.  Thus Aarif in December will traverse nonstop between China and Hong Kong to participate in film promotions.

Aarif yesterday went to Hangzhou with Joe Chen Qiao-En, Gigi Leung Wing Kei and Dou Xiao to attend THE ALLURE OF TEARS global premiere press conference.  Aarif stated that in his past films his romantic segments have all been lightly touched upon, but ths film was a complete romance.  It was the first romance of his career.  Aarif said that for this type of movies he had to learn how to deliver emotions to co-stars, which was very interesting and fresh.  In addition proper communication before the shoot with co-star Zhou Dongyu was especially important.

In addition, the host asked how Aarif could cry on cue in the film.  He said that the director deserved the credit.  Before the shoot she explained the importance of this scene to him and taught him how to release his emotions.  Aarif even took the chance to catch up with Zhou Dongyu and others on this trip with hot pot casserole.  Aarif said that later Zhou Dongyu will come to promote in Hong Kong and he definitely will introduce her the beautiful Hong Kong scenery at night at the Peak.

New film SLEEPWALKER 3D (MUNG YAU 3D) would be released today.  Two nights ago a premiere was held.  Leads Angelica Lee Sinjie and Charlie Yeung Choi Nei appeared.  Charlie even wore the Sinjie designed cacac dress and easily became the focus.

Two nights ago the premiere not only had the director Oxide Pang Shun and the two lead actresses, Universe boss Daneil Lam Siu Ming also appeared.  Guests conducted the launch ceremony with a girl with a pillow and pajamas.  Jason Chan Pak Yu's new girlfriend Leanne Fu Hiu Mei and other models attended too.  Charlie wore Sinjie's label cacac dress.  Sinjie revealed that she was responsible for the design and the label has existed for over a year.  Charlie said, "I like it very much!  I will keep wearing her clothes!"  Sinjie revealed that Charlie was her first client and would also sponsor her.  She was her label's super VIP.  Sinjie said, "I gave Charlie a discount, I sold her some and gave her some."  Sinjie said that the lable was in Malaysia and had presence in Mainland department stores.  Charlie complimented Sinjie.  "From store rental up Sinjie started from zero and personally ran with it.  So I plan to enthusiastically support her."  Would Sinjie consider running the business full time?  She said, "No!  I only chip in with good friends.  I am responsible for designs."  Earlier Gigi Leung Wing Kei and her husband Sergio dressed up and went to Lan Kwai Fong, did Sinjie and Charlie celebrate Halloween with Gigi?  Sinijie said, "On the 30th we had a party at a friend's home.  I wore Smurf ears and Hubby put on an Elvis mask and looked like Shek Sau.  Sergio had a lot of fun too!"

Chan Pak Yu publicized his romance with pseudo model Fu Hiu Mei.  Jason's new girlfriend yesterday also attended the premiere.  As for publicizing the relationship, she said that they did not want to hide.  Fu Hiu Mei said, "At first I was afraid that it would affect his career, when reporters called me I denied it!  Now we can go out in the open!"  Speaking of publicizing the romance elevating her popularity, she said, "Maybe it did!  (Would you hold hands outside before?)  Yes!  Now we would watch ourselves a little.  I hope to be able to get married.  I was serious in every relationship and hoped to walk to the end!"  She also revealed that many otaku fans learned about her relationship on the 22nd and made it their unhappiest day.

Director Oxide Pang Shun and Angelica Lee Sinjie's first film after marriage, SLEEPWALKER 3D (MUNG YAU 3D) was already their third collaboration.  However this time was not about ghost but sleepwalking.  Sinjie even thought that the shoot was very fun.  In the film she discovered that when she woke up she was still wearing pajamas but in high heels and had mud on her hands.  She suspected that she killed her missing former husband while sleepwalking.

Sinjie deeply believed that dream was a type of sixth sense or subconscious.  She personally supported the latter more and thought that perhaps due to large life pressure people subconsciously hid deep inside.  Thus they should properly face their fears.  In the past Sinjie also kept dreaming because she accumulated too much.  Once she even woke with tear marks on her face.  However she would rarely have the same dream and she never asked anyone to explain it.  Some said that she should have sweet dreams now from the perfect marriage.  She said, "After marriage I really haven't shed tears while dreaming, but Hubby says that I sometimes would talk in my sleep."  Sinjie also pointed out that she might be too in character.  After the shoot when she returned home to sleep she would see her character and perform it once more.

Sinjie this time worked with her good friend Charlie Yeung Choi Nei for the first time.  They met over ten years ago when Charlie opened a studio.  At the time Sinjie's manager asked her to shoot an image photo
for Sinjie.  Later they started to talk over the phone.  Sinjie said, "That should be the 'Girl Generation'.  After the photos were shown to the film company boss I was immediately hired."  However they did not have many scenes together and did not have enough fun.  Charlie suggested that they could work together next time or add another friend Gigi Leung Wing Kei to make a woman film.  Speaking of Sinjie having both career and family, Charlie said that she wished Sinjie well from the heart and believed that Sinjie would be a good wife and mother.  Meanwhile she was waiting for the right one, left it up to nature and would not deliberately force anything.
