[2011.11.03] ANDREW LAU LEADS IN CEREMONY DISRUPTION

Andrew Lau says that THE GUILLOTINES is like Qing Dynasty YOUNG AND DANGEROUS in training
courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed, Peter Chan Ho Sun produced THE GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) is in production in Xian.  Yesterday the director led actors including Ethan Juan (Yuen King Tin), Shawn Yue Man Lok, Jing Boran, Chris Lee Yuchun, Huang Xiaoming to attend the Taiyuan press conference.  A blood sworn sibling ceremony took place.  Although they used prop blood, they still acted like it was real.

At the event everyone first gave a drop of blood with prop blood.  The director led and pretended it hurt.  Then Yuen King Tin and Yue Man Lok helped each other "prick" the other's finger and both made a painful expression.  The reporters could not help but laugh.  The event also arranged for everyone to drink the blood to represent their unity.

Lau Wai Keung joked that the film has already been in production for 52 days, over a half; this time the actors were very young.  The total age of the eight were 100.  Everyday he watched them, he truly felt troublesome.  He felt nauseous just from looking at them, like he became their father.  Playing the captain Yuen King Tin admitted that he was very excited to be a part of the film.  He has never played such a character before.  In the film he had many friends with different personalities.  Lee Yuchun was the only woman.  She pointed out that this was her third film and everyone took great care of her.

Yue Man Lok has worked with Lau Wai Keung many times.  He kept quiet about the story and said that he still did not dare to ask.  He joked, "On the set when I saw him I wanted to vomit.  However the director in the past ten years put me in many good films and made my film journey even more successful."  Lau Wai Keung joked, actors only had to be taller than him to be famous.  Yue Man Lok did not used to be so tall.  When Dior Cheng Yi Kin made YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI) he was not either.

In addition, the Huang Xiaoming played character costume recently has been unveiled.  He said that this production has been the most difficult in his career.  The character was the most complicated as well, a hard to grasp, ever changing person.  Xiaoming continued, originally the director wanted him to grow a beard, but finally they still decided on using a fake one.

As for how to explore the character, Xiaoming joked that he had to ask the director because the director on the set was a crazed wolf.  He too was just following his lead.

[2011.10.31] HUANG XIAOMING'S COSTUME LOOK SCARES OTHERS

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Peter Chan Ho Sun produced, Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed THE GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) recently unveiled each actor in costume.  Huang Xiaoming in the film played a "wanderer".  This time Xiaoming had messy hair, with a white robe covering his body he looked like a Greek scripture with teary eyes.  Lau Wai Keung said, "He was dressed like a mad man and a crazed criminal, which hid the most gentle heart inside."

Speaking of his long hair, Xiaoming joked, "When I look at the mirror, isn't this Jesus?"  On the day of costume fitting, Xiaoming pointed at his face and face and made a guarantee to Lau Wai Keung, "As long as I don't shave in three days, it will be here and here."  The director gladly agreed for real facial hair support and gave up the fake beard that would affect facial performance.  Huang Xiaoming tried three different long beards, due to differences in legnth he joked they were Jesus, Marx and bin Laden's beards.  Finally the "Jesus beard" had raves from both Chan Ho Sun and Lau Wai Keung.  Xiaoming also lost eight pounds for the role.  During the period he only had yogurt and cucumber.  He joked that this time he did not need to display his chest but he guaranteed that he was so slim that he had "cleavage".

In order to play the character well, Xiaoming before the shoot thought to drink to release himself.  Yet Chan Ho Sun joked that he had to see how he was after drinking.  If he went mad after drinking a little then he would be in trouble.  However, finally Chan Ho Sun accepted Xiaoming's suggestion.  Xiaoming and Lau Wai Keung often drank together on the set.  After the transformation, Xiaoming was almost in quarantine as often before the shoot he secretly got into the character.  His rage filled eyes even scared the assistant director who showed him his marks.  On several occasions when Lau Wai Keung accepted the take, he was still standing alone in the original spot.

Lynn Xiong (Hung Doi Lam) two nights ago attended a fashion store opening ceremony with Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Huang Xiaoming, Edmond Leung Hong Man and others.

Huang Xiaoming stated that he was busy with Peter Chan Ho Sun's new film THE GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI).  Speaking of he and rumored girlfriend Angelababy appearing at a Mainland airport, Huang Xiaoming changed the subject when asked whether Baby was visiting him on the set.  "Do you have another question?  This year I already made seven movies.  I work very hard and hope to focus on my movies."  When asked whether he was so busy that he had no time to date, Huang Xiaoming said that he did not have time to see even his parents.  "After THE GUILLOTINES I have to make another new film, a love story in the 60s.  The cast will have good actors from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  I look forward to it very much."

The Yeung Chin Wa, Eva Huang Shengyi and Donnie Yen Chi Tan starred new film PIK LIK SUN TAM (THUNDER COP) was rumored to be postponed due to Huang Shengyi's pregnancy.  Chin Wa admitted that the production date has been delayed to early next year, but she did not know whether it was due to Huang Shengyi.  She said, "I very much look forward to working with Yen Chi Tan, so I am a little sorry.  However next month I have my concert, now by change I can have more time to rest and recover."  As for whether the new film production schedule change would affect her parenthood plan, she joked that it would depend on whether she was destined to continue the production.

[2011.10.28] GUILLOTINES UNVEIL COSTUMES

courtesy of singtao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Peter Chan Ho Sun produced, Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed film THE GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) has already begun production.  Each actor's costume look appeared for the first time.  Captain Ethan Juan (Yuen King Tin) was responsible for "cold", the only "female Guillotine" Chris Lee Yuchun was responsible for "real", Jing Boran was responsible was "handsome", Purba Rgyal (Pubajia) was responsible for "vicious", Zhou Yiwei "grinned like a cat with a canary" and was responsible for "shady" but the weapon Flying Guillotine was nowhere to be seen.

The Guillotine uniform was in classic red and black, the left arm was made with steel, wrapped up from the shoulder to the fist and leather underneath it resembled a cannon.  With 230 steel rings and 168 steel plates, it weighted 10 catties.  Yuen King Tin posed in the uniform.  After putting on the metal arm he even joked that he was Iron Man.  The uniform was designed with the right arm for the weapon and the left hand for the metal arm, but Siu Tin was left armed so he had to train his right arm strength.  Lau Wai Keung after finding out thought the lefty would be very cool and designed a "lefty" metal arm for him.

Lee Yuchun after BOYDGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING) worked with Chan Ho Sun again.  The first thing Chan Ho Sun said when he saw Lee Yuchun was, "How can you grow younger and younger?  You look like you are only 16."  This time Lee Yuchun had to cut her hair short.  In order to ensure that her hair would be comfortable and steady, she spent three hours on hair the first time.  Aside from shaving their heads, male Guillotines also had to grow facial hair.  Yuen King Tin, Zhou Yiwei, Purba Rgyal were happy about saving shaving time.  Only Jing Boran due to his red lips and white teeth did not have to grow facial hair.

WU XIA yesterday held an event in Busan.  Director Peter Chan Ho Sun led leads Tang Wei and Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo) in attendance.  October 7 was Tang Wei's birthday, which she said that she spent in Busan for two years in a row.  She even said that Busan cake was delicious.  She also wished Hyun Bin who is serving his military duty good health.

Tang Wei and Hyun Bin worked together on LATE AUTUMN, which she appeared at last year's Busan Film Festival for.  A reporter asked about the difference between Hyun Bin and Gum Sing Mo.  Tang Wei responded, "The difference is I can speak Chinese with Gum Sing Mo, but with Hyun Bin I can only speak inferior English for daily exchange.  The similarity is when I went to Taiwan with Gum Sing Mo, his 'old ladies' (fans) were very crazy.  When I came to Korea, Hyun Bin's fans were also very crazy.  Everyone was very attentive as we all have witnessed."  Hyun Bin and Tang Wei were linked in rumors.  What did she want to say to Hyun Bin who is currently serving his marine duty?  Tang Wei wished him good health.

[2011.09.29] HUANG XIAOMING IGNORES HIS AILING EYES

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Currently working on the Peter Chan Ho Sun produced, Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed latest kung fu film FLYING GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) in Yangqu, Xian, Huang Xiaoming two nights ago suddenly suffered pain in both his eyes as they kept tearing up and he could not see any light.  He was rushed to the Taiyuan hospital for treatment.  Huang Xiaoming put bandaged on his eyes and rested half a day before rushing back to Hubei to participate Chen Kaige's new film SHAMEN KONGHAI set construction ceremony on the 28th as scheduled.

On the morning of the 27th, Huang Xiaoming's assistant posted a photo of Huang Xiaoming with his eyes bandaged and appeared to be in a lot of pain.  He said that after 2AM he received his boss' call and said that his eyes hurt a lot and could not be opened.  With the help of the film production they immediately went to the hospital for treatment.  Later, Huang Xiaoming's manager also issued official information on line, "Thank you everyone for your concern for Huang Xiaoming, Xiaoming's eyes started to hurt in the middle of the night yesterday and could not see any light.  Due to how sudden it happened, he immediately went to Taiyuan hospital for treatment.  Now he is already stable, please relax.  The cause is
still under investigation.  Because his eyes still could not open, today's FLYING GUILLOTINES shoot wa postponed and Xiaoming was in a panic.  All the darkness would only be temporary.  With everyone's encouragement, he definitely will be able to open his eyes.  Go!"

Last year Huang Xiaoming's eyes were splashed with artificial blood while making SACRIFICE.  The chemical in the artificial blood burnt his cornea.  The promotion department said that Huang Xiaoming's eyes due to work under strong lights for a long time at work and fatigue became very sensitive, which led to the inability to be opened.  Then he was sent to the hospital.  Huang Xiaoming has already been released from the hospital and was resting with the team.  The FLYING GUILLOTINES team was very understanding of the actor's health and for now has suspended Huang Xiaoming's work for the day.

Despite the sudden illness, Huang Xiaoming still insisted to participate in Chen Kaige's new film SHAMEN KONGHAI's set construction ceremony today.  On the 27th with bandages and sunglasses Huang Xiaoming rushed to Wuhan overnight then spent two hours on a car ride to Xiangfan.  He immediately checked into the local hospital for a follow up visit and dressing change.  His manager updated his status online.  Luckily he did not suffer any infection.

[2011.09.24] PETER CHAN AND SANDRA NG SUPPORT CHINESE FILM IN PARIS

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Peter Chan Ho Sun directed, Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo) and Tang Wei starred WU XIA opened the 6th Chinese Film Festival in Paris.  Chan Ho Sun and Sandra Ng Kwan Yu at the invitation of the Mayor of Paris and legendary French director, Palme d'Or and two time Oscar winner Claude Lelouch attended a welcome party and seminar in Paris.

Participating in their first Chinese and French cultural exchange as a member of the Chinese film representative team, Chan Ho Sun and Ng Kwan Yu arrived in Paris on the 19th and received the enthusiastic welcome from their French film colleagues.  They participated in the Centre national de la cinematographie (CNC) organized Chinese French film discussion panel and its president Eric Garandeau invited them to take part in Chinese French co-productions; later they attended the 6th Paris Chinese Film Festival opening ceremony.  WU XIA opened the festival and received cheers from both Chinese and French viewers.  At the welcome party, Chan Ho Sun said that he was very fortunate to participate in a film event at the home of the New Wave and where film originated.  As a director he always had to walk in front of the audience.  Sometimes he was just right with one step ahead.  Sometimes he walked too fast and viewers might not be able to follow.  Paris has the audience that loves film the most in the world.  "We can even run here without worrying about losing viewers.  Today when the entire world follows Hollywood, we should cherish still having such a space where different expressions are fulfilled equally.  At the same time I also hope to have a chance to work hand in hand with France, try some Chinese French co-production subjects and fly together."

Sandra Ng Kwan Yu with ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU) two nights ago won the Excellent Overseas Chinese Actress award at the Beijing Huabiao Awards.  Yesterday she returned to Hong Kong.  Without any make up Kwan Yu stepped out of the airport and reporters rushed to interview her.  She instead asked reporters who they were waiting for?  Kwan Yu honestly said that she was very emotional at the moment of victory.  Although her boyfriend Peter Chan Ho Sun was not nominated, he
watched it on television with their daughter.  She said, "I was the happiest about my daughter toughing it out (bed time) until my appearance.  The daughter asked me why the one before me (Chow Yun Fat) talked so long and that she didn't know what I was saying because I was speaking Putonghua."

Two nights ago Kwan Yu celebrated with Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting, Alex Law Kai Yui and Aarif Rahman (Lee Chi Ting) but they will not celebrate again because Chan Ho Sun's mother just passed away and he was not in the greatest of mood.  As for defeating the favorite Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), she asked, "Really?  I didn't notice.  I just returned from Thailand to Hong Kong for a day before going to Beijing."  As for still taking time to attend despite her family issue, was she notified in advance about her victory?  She said that the event was fully confidential.  "Originally I didn't plan on going because I wasn't ready, but I of course asked the event whether I had any chance."

[2011.08.18] PETER CHAN'S MOTHER PASSED AWAY

courtesy of takungpao.com

Director Peter Chan Ho Sun's parents lived in Thailand. Yesterday his 78 year old mother due to kidney cancer passed away and now he was handling her affairs there. His film company confirmed that Mother Chan passed away last Saturday. Currently Chan Ho Sun and Sandra Ng Kwan Yu have already flown there to handle Mother Chan's funeral and asked the company to thank everyone for their concern.

Reportedly, when Chan Ho Sun was promoting his new film WU XIA on an Asian tour, Mother Chan's health was already not longer stable. Thus after each stop he would take the earliest flight back to Thailand to take care of his mother. When the promotion ended, he even remained there. Unfortunately Mother Chan finally succumbed. He and his family have already begun to prepare for his mother's funeral. Everything would be done according to the Thai tradition. Family and friends would arrive to pay their respect.

Actually Mother Chan was very close to his son's team. She would visit every set of his movies. When WU XIA was shooting in Tengchong, she brought her own fried small fish and peanut and authentic Thai pork jerky to share with everyone. In the future Chan Ho Sun will have a series of work, like WU XIA in September will promote in Japan, Korea, Europe and North America. His production THE FLYING GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) will also start production. With his personality, his work should not be affected.

[2011.07.30] LINDA WONG GETS MEAN TO KEEP AN EYE ON HER FATHER

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Linda Wong Hing Ping yesterday attended a skin care product event. Despite the category 3 typhoon warning, guests still dressed up for the event. Linda's father Jimmy Wang Yu earlier suffered a stroke and recently has already recovered and released from the hospital. Earlier she even attended the WU XIA premiere with her father and walked the red carpet together, which was very memorable for her.

Linda pointed out that earlier her father already asked the film company to let him attend the premiere because this was his wish. Director Peter Chan Ho Sun respected their family's intent and asked for permission before permitting Wang Yu to attend. Wong Hing Ping pointed out that actually when her father said that he wanted to go, she as a daughter could not stop him. Yet this time was very memorable for her. When her father was making movies, she was still very little. When she got into the business, her father no longer made movies.

Linda praised her father's outstanding performance in the film, many people praised him as well. However she still had to adjust a little because her father mostly played good guys before. Now her father could no longer drink. When they dined with friends and her father had a glass of red wine in front of him, she would immediately yell at him to keep him from drinking it. She joked that she has never been so mean to her father in her life. She said that her father rarely turned anyone down, so many friends and family all agreed for her to be a little meaner to keep him from drinking.

Peter Chan Ho Sun two nights ago led the cast of WU XIA like Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo), Tang Wei, and the One Armed Swordsman who made his first public appearance after his stroke Jimmy Wang Yu to the Taiwan premiere. Almost 1,000 fans came in support. Gum Sing Mo was very excited to see the fans. Normally cool, he actually screamed "Old Lady" at the fans and had them under his spell.

Two nights ago Gum Sing Mo received the support of many fans. Host Matilda Tao Ching Ying even led fans in screaming "Hubby" at him. Gum Sing Mo awkwardly laughed but he finally responded, "Every Old Lady How Are You!" Fans screamed out of joy. Wang Yu made his first public appearance after his stroke and looked good. Many fans enthusiastically presented flowers to him. His good friend and Golden Horse Best Actor Ke Jun Hsung led over 20 members of the "action director union" in support. Wang Yu even joked, "In less than half a year after fighting with Yen Chi Tan I had a stroke, you can see how powerful his martial art is!" Chi Tan laughed and said, "Big Brother, when you talk like that I don't dare to go outside!"

Tang Wei was asked the difference between Ang Lee and Chan Ho Sun. She pointed out that Ang Lee was the principal and would arrange for them to attend many classes. Chan Ho Sun just asked her to perform freely. Chan Ho Sun joked, "One knows what he wants and the other doesn't know what he wants." After Taiwan, the director will lead Yen Chi Tan and Gum Sing Mo to Japan and Singapore to continue the Southeast Asia promotion. The team will gather again in Hong Kong on July 26 for the final stop.

Chan Ho Sun and Yen Chi Tan earlier talked about the joy and the pain of the film production in Hong Kong. Chi Tan said that the most difficult was his roof top chase scene with Wai Ying Hung in Yunnan. The location had many beautiful roof tile homes but because the homes were very close, they had a hard time to find places to put their equipment. Chan Ho Sun at first did not think about shoot on the roof top but Chi Tan thought the environment was so pretty that it would be a waste not to shoot there. However the people of Yunnan were very superstitious and did not like foreigners to jump around on top of their homes. In addition they had to stabilize the homes inside. Luckily finally after everyone's hard persuasion and forming the chase route, the shoot was successful.

However the inability to use wires during the shoot made it very dangerous. Chi Tan said that the tiles were very slippery. A stunt person during testing had blood all over his hand. Although it was dangerous, Chi Tan said that during the shoot he did not think about it. Instead before hand he had to plan in detail and take all the safety measures. Chan Ho Sun hoped that viewers would like it. They did their best and had no regret.

[2011.07.21] SANDRA NG LONGS TO WORK WITH LAU CHING WAN

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of takungpao.com

Sandra Ng Kwan Yu yesterday appeared at Madame Tussaud's Hong Kong to unveil McDull and Mrs. Mak's wax figures. Also attending were Alice Mak Ka Bik and Travel Development Council chair Michael Tien. Even McDull has its own wax figure, when will she get hers? Kwan Yu said soon as they were in negotiation? What image would she like to appear as? Kwan Yu felt that she has made so many movies, just one image representation would be too narrow; would she like to make a wax figure with Peter Chan Ho Sun? Kwan Yu joked, "If we split then what?"

Kwan Yu revealed that right now many scripts were in negotiation. If confirmed the soonest would begin work in September. She is not only selective with scripts but also pays attention to co-stars. Who would she like to work with? Kwan Yu honestly said after such a long time in film she has worked with many people except one. "He is Lau Ching Wan. Since we left the training class we have never worked together. Although we both have made comedy films, I don't know if he wants to avoid me. Maybe he leaves as soon as he hears my name!" What about playing a couple with Ching Wan? Kwan Yu said that would work except that they were up there in age.

Speaking of rumors that Raymond Wong Pak Ming would like to make the Lunar New Year film EIGHT HAPPINESS 2012 (BAK SING PO HEI) with the original team of ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2011 (JUI KEUNG HEI SI) except the negative news ridden Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi. Kwan Yu said that she was uncertain. Has Wong Pak Ming contacted her? Kwan Yu joked, "Now Yan Ni is enough for me, he minds me and has to give up the cheap stuff. My mission has been accomplished."

[2011.07.15] TAKESHI KANESHIRO HAS FUN WITH CLOSE COMBAT

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo) and Peter Chan Ho Sun yesterday attended a forum at the Beijing People's University. During the event a duel between Gum Sing Mo and Jiang Wu from WU XIA was shown. Actually this scene was removed from the Mainland release, thus yesterday it was a special screening. The event also arranged for three students to perform mountain folk songs to coordinate with the story in the film.

This duel was almost too much for Gum Sing Mo. he had to stand in water for hand to hand combat with Jiang Wu but also had to wield his umbrella as a weapon like acrobats. Luckily action director Yen Chi Tan was on hand to direct. With his natural talent he was able to complete this scene sooner than he expected.

However during the shoot, Gum Sing Mo slipped and fell into the water several times. He almost "poked" Wu Jing in the eye during close combat. Luckily Jiang Wu was fast enough to dodge it. Even Chan Ho Sun was sweating bullets. Gum Sing Mo said, "This fight scene is truly satisfying for me. I consider it as some wu xia fun! Of course I have to thank Yen Chi Tan. I appreciate him very much. He not only has to perform but also handle the action part. I deeply experience his spirit for perfection. No matter how tough it got he would always do his part to its best. No wonder everyone say he is the strongest in the universe."

In another needle to the neck scene, Gum Sing Mo revealed that he has always been somewhat resistant to needles. However he realized that this scene was very key so he toughed it out. The team hired an acupuncture specialist to be on hand to direct. Gum Sing Mo recalled, "That practitioner gave me very detailed explanation and demonstration, so I very quickly understood how and where to apply the needle. I could accept and too afraid about applying it not too deep on the neck. I only wanted to finish sooner so I don't have to keep looking at those needles that make me uncomfortable."

[2011.07.10] JIMMY WANG DRIVES ONE ARMED AFTER STROKE

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of takungpao.com

Director Peter Chan Ho Sun promoted WU XIA in Taiwan for one day. Before returning to Hong Kong he visited Jimmy Wang Yu who suffered an unfortunate stroke earlier. Wang Yu after over a month in treatment appeared to have gradually recovered.
Yesterday they met in Taipei. Chan Ho Sun brought fruit and essence of chicken to visit Wang Yu. Wang Yu said, "After the stroke I almost have no strength on my left side, sometimes even talking was affected. Luckily after therapy and treatment over a long time, now I can walk and my left hand can move slightly. Perhaps due to the foundation of my youth, with twice daily physical therapy and both Chinese and Western medicine my body has recovered a lot. However I still have to watch what I eat, and I can't drink anymore." Yet Wang Yu proudly said, the doctor wanted him to lift and lower his left arm 200 times daily. He insisted on increasing to 1000 repetitions. With the 25 steps at home he walked three times over daily. Wang Yu even joked, "After my body recovers, I will drive one handed to physical therapy!" The staff was so scared that they were sweating bullets. Wang Yu joked, "Don't worry, because Big Brother Wang is the One Armed Swordsman!" Big Brother Wang said, "Now I can't! My daughter found out and already yelled at me once, she even assigned a driver for me." Wang Yu even promised to attend the Taiwan and Hong Kong premieres.

[2011.07.08] WAI YING HUNG LOSES A PIECE OF HER KNEE

Siu Hung shows the scar that is left from her knee injury

courtesy of mingpao.com

Donnie Yen Chi Tan's mother is Wai Ying Hung's mentor. Siu Hung and Chi Tan have known each other for over 20 years. In the Peter Chan Ho Sun directed WU XIA they finally worked together for the first time. In the film they personally performed their own fight scenes that were thrilling and exciting, luckily they did not have any accident. Siu Hung now talked about it at ease; but running around on the roofs of Yunnan ancient city houses 2800 meters above the sea level with the end being a cliff, she was done for if she could not stop in time. She said, "Running ahead of me Chi Tan often turned around to look at me, worrying that I really couldn't stop in time."

Shooting in the thin mountain air, breathing was already difficult. They even had chase and duel, which made it even harder. Thus during the shoot Siu Hung fell due to a lack of oxygen and lost a piece of her right kneecap. Although the wound was treated immediately, it was still infected and left a dark scar. She showed off the scar on her knee cap and said, "The wound was even darker before, even powder couldn't cover it up. Only after four laser treatments it wasn't as dark, but the scar could still clearly be seen."

In another thrilling scene she and Chi Tan fought in a cow shed and was almost rammed to death. Siu Hung said, "I never imagined that I really almost was trampled to death. Because I was fighting between six cows, the cows were threatened and went wild. Two crushed me. At the time I heard my rib went and felt a chill. I was worried that something happened. The stunt professional led away the cows and ran over to save me." Luckily her rib was not broken, and director Chan Ho Sun and Chi Tan praised her. Siu Hung said, "I was somewhat comforted!"

Recently Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo)'s romance was uncovered. He was still busy promoting WU XIA in the Mainland. Yesterday Gum Sing Mo along with director Peter Chan Ho Sun and Wai Ying Hung attended a Chengdu, Sichuan press conference and finally responded for the first time.

Recently the media caught Gum Sing Mo and a mystery woman going out and appearing to be close. His manager has already denied their romance. Yesterday a reporter asked whether Gum Sing Mo was in love or was the news speculation due to WU XIA's release? Gum Sing Mo said, "Earlier my manager already said it, indeed it was not what it looked like. Everyone know I wouldn't be deliberately low key and not promote. Wu XIA's schedule was moved up by a month. Several actors' promotional schedules were all messed up. Now we would try to coordinate when we can. Thank you media for your care and well wishes."

Gum Sing Mo in the film also talked about the experience of working on WU XIA. He said that in the film she spoke Sichuan dialect for the first time. The team hired a tutor for him. The tutor was very pleased with his performance, at least giving it 80 points. Chan Ho Sun also praised Gum Sing Mo's determination. Everyday after the shoot he would ask for the next day's script so the tutor could record the lines into his MP3 player for him to recite. Gum Sing Mo whether in the film and in life would not try anything dangerous. The Sichuan dialect to him this time was a cliff, he had to decide whether to jump. As a director, he of course had to jump with him.
