The Charmaine Sheh Si Man and Alex Fong Lik Sun starred film LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER (YUN YUEK LEI FUN HAU) opened recently and its box office reportedly has been heading toward 5 million. Actors Ah Sheh, Law Chung Hin, Jacqueline Chong Si Man and Carol Yeung Chi Yiu yesterday appeared at a Mongkok cinema for viewer appreciation.

Ah Sheh revealed that the film performed ideally, which made her very happy. She stated, "As far as I know, later the film will be shown in more cinemas." She also expressed that because she has not made a film in a long time, initially she felt very nervous. She honestly said that aside from thanking everyone for their support, she also had to thank director Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) for giving her a chance. As for working together later, she honestly said that earlier the director has already mentioned it. Ah Sheh said, "This film will start production again (sequel) in September, but I have two Mainland series offers. I have to check my schedule."

Was she satisfied with her salary? She stressed that the story mattered more. Ah Sheh said, "Money isn't the most important, I have to look at the story." After leaving TVB her professional opportunities followed one after another. She responded, "Actually they have been pretty much the same, now I just have a little more control."

In addition, Law Chung honestly said that he once worried about becoming the box office poison. He said, "My earlier film MARRIAGE WITH A LIAR (FUN CHIN SI OI) had decent box office. The director said that luckily I wasn't box office poison!" In both films he had many bed scenes, would he accept even more extreme performance next time? Him Jai stated that he has not thought about full frontal. He said, "I have worked with the director twice. I have confidence in him. However my bottom line is being topless, I don't want to go all out just yet. Even if I do I have to see whether the script requires it. I want to wait until I am more mature!"

The Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) directed LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER (YUN YUEK LEI FUN HAU) after six days in release accumulated almost 3 million at the box office. To show appreciation to the cast and the crew, the film company two nights ago held a banquet. Aside from the director and executive producer Wong Jing, attending actors included Charmaine Sheh Si Man, Law Chung Him, Jacqueline Chong Si Man and Evelyn Choi Wing Yun. They even popped bottles of champagne and balloons to wish for continuing sold out at every show.

Law Chung Him was very satisfied with the film's box office numbers. If the box office will break 10 million, he suggested for a celebration on a yacht with the actresses. Would Ah Sheh dare to appear in swimwear then? She said, "He of course doesn't have to be afraid! He can show off his 42 inch chest. (You can show off your 20 inch waist?) I can too, I can compete. (Would you wear a bikini?) We will see. I have confident in my figure, but I want to stay out of the sun. It's a lot of fun to play together, I haven't been to a yacht party in a
long time. However reporters will have to wear (bikinis) too!"

Ah Sheh honestly said that she has not worn swimwear in eight or ten years in public. Would she not consider to wear swimwear even for work? She said, "It depends on whether it is necessary, it's not just about the money. (Have you thought about making a photo book?) No, I am not that daring. Now so many are young and pretty. (Leave a memory of your youth?) I have enough! 13 years ago my Miss Hong Kong pageants are enough!" As for the box office numbers, Ah Sheh hoped it will climb and climb again. She even planned to sneak into the cinema to check out audience reaction.

Earlier the band Mr.'s drummer Tom (To Chi Wun) honestly admitted that he and Evelyn have already broken up for four months and was rumored to be with "Yeung Gwong Girl" Leanne Ho Si Yin. Two nights ago Evelyn was obviously prepared. When asked about the break up, she said, "We broke up several months ago, we split because we had an understanding. We have been great friends. Relationship is personal and I don't have to answer to anyone. (He is linked to Ho Si Yin?) That is their personal business, even if I know I am not at liberty to talk about it, not to mention I don't know. (Would it affect your relationship with her?) No, why don't you ask if she affected my relationship with Tom. (Are you broken up?) So he can be with anyone and I am fine with it. (Do you accept them as a couple?) You should ask them, maybe one day I would be with his good friend! (Would you ask Ho Si Yin to confirm?) I haven't run into anyone good, I hope to run into a good guy who is talented and has the same interests as I do. Treating me well is secondary, the most important is we are compatible." She also said that she worked with Ho Si Yin before, but she has not seen her in a long time.

Although Evelyn claimed that she was single, she was rumored to be a pair with local artist Siu Hak and a Taiwan hunk. Evelyn said, "I don't have a boyfriend, if this keeps up I really would have no suitor!" She reiterated that she had no chance to develop with those two, because Siu Hak is much older than her and married and the Taiwan model was younger than her.

The Charmaine Sheh Si Man, Alex Fong Lik Sun, Law Chung Him starred film LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER (YUN YUEK LEI FUN HAU) two nights ago held its premiere. Young models stole Sheh Si Man's thunder. Jeana's dress was so low cut that even Timmy Hung Tin Ming did not dare to look at her directly.

Did Sheh Si Man feel young models stole her thunder? She said, "They have always been amazing." She said that her direction was different from young models'. Lately they released photo books so the way they dressed was suitable. In addition this was not a sexy film. However Ah Sheh could not help but praise how sexy Jeana was. Ah Sheh honestly said that in the film she also had daring kiss scenes and she would like the film to perform well at the box office. Her old flame Benny Chan Ho Man married a Mainland model. She said that she already sent a text message to congratulate him and honestly said that they kept in touch.

Carol two nights ago appeared without undergarment, which she said was to coordinate with the elegant premiere. Carol also said that she used a lot of tap, almost an entire roll. She honestly said that she made sure, she was worried wardrobe malfunction because she felt the tape lost its elasticity. Later when Carol and Jeana posed for photos Jeana seemed to be pressing her chest against her. Carol said that she did not feel anything and did not dare to look at her directly.

Jeana said that she wore two bras. Often making push up appearances, did Jeana feel tired? she said, "I am tired there and my hips are tired."

[2011.06.14] ALEX FONG LIK SUN EXPECTS REACTION TO WIFE SWAPPING ROLE

courtesy of on.cc

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Alex Fong Lik Sun and Charmaine Sheh Si Man in the film LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER (YUN YEUK LEI FUN HAU) played a couple. In the film Ah Sheh loved Siu Fong so much that she willingly agreed to his request of a wife swap. In reality Ah Sheh honestly said that she could not accept that. Luckily she still has not run into any boyfriend's unreasonable request. Siu Fong revealed that before he was in the business he waited two hours for a girl on the street; speaking of rumored girlfriend Stephy Tang Lai Yun, he praised her for not being sassy at all.

Siu Fong and Ah Sheh yesterday met the media to promote the film. Ah Sheh in the film had to adjust to Siu Fong's "wife swap" and had an intimate scene with Law Chung Him. She said that the scene took place inside a vehicle. During the shoot the air conditioning was off due to sound recording. The vehicle inside was narrow and had no room, she got bruises from it. Did they touch important areas? Ah Sheh said that physical contact was definite but not important area contact.

Speaking of unreasonable boyfriend requests, Ah Sheh said that she has not run into any. Siu Fong revealed that she waited for a girl for two hours on the streets. It happened before he was in the business. At the time a police officer saw how long he was standing on the streets and asked him what happened. He pointed out that women loved to throw tantrums, being unreasonable was their privilege. Yet if he loved her he would tolerate it, but after awhile sometimes he might not be able to. Was Tang Lai Yun hard to take? he said, "As a friend, she absolutely isn't hard to take. (Has she been unreasonable?) Of course not."

Ah Sheh admitted that sometimes she would be unreasonable, in particular when she was in a bad mood or hungry. However it would not be often. Siu Fong also pointed out that this time the film's sensitive subject of "wife swap" would probably have quite a response during its release. He was not afraid that the character would affect his image. Instead he thought it was very challenging.

courtesy of takungpao.com

Alex Fong Lik Sun, Charmaine Sheh Si Man, Law Chung Him, Timmy Hung Tin Ming, Carol Yeung Chi Yiu, Jeana and others yesterday gathered in Kowloon Bay for Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum)'s new film LOVE IS THE ONLY ANSWER (YUN YEUK LEI FUN HAU).

Lead actress Sheh Si Man's performance in MY SISTER OF ETERNAL FLOWER (FA FA SAI GAI FA GA JEH) was criticized as female Ah Wong. Ah Sheh said, "I didn't watch Ah Wong before, because when the series on the air I was working on a series." She also said that she did not dare to watch Ah Wong because she was afraid that she would impersonate the performance after watching it. She said, "The most important is everyone has a talking point!" She also pointed out that before the series she spoke with the mentally challenged and discovered that they also had a lovable side.

Lead actor Siu Fong said that the new film was a huge acting challenge for him. "In the film I played promiscuous guy who has many girls around." In the film he had to play wife swapping. When asked whether he could accept it in real life, he sincerely said, "I am more traditional Chinese, I can't accept it. However I have heard about people talking about it." Did he need to inform his girlfriend Stephy Tang Lai Yun about any intimate scene? Siu Fong responded, "It's just work, so I don't have to."

Speaking of his good friend Ronald Cheng Chung Kei's impending fatherhood, Siu Fong said that he has not seen Ronald in a long time. "I called to congratulate him and I am happy for him." When would he be congratulated? Siu Fong said, "Congratulate me on the film being a big hit?" As for having a child then getting married, he said that his wedding date would not be so soon. Speaking of the pregnancy of Ronald's girlfriend might have been an accident, he responded, "How would you know, nothing is 100% safe. I have my feet firmly on the ground, I shouldn't be so lucky."

[2011.05.12] LAW CHUNG HIM IS NOT AFRAID OF RUMORS WITH CHARMAINE SHEH

courtesy of mingpao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Law Chung Him and Wang Yuanyuan yesterday attended a handbag event. They wore leather jackets outdoors. Him Jai was sweating bullets. However, Him Jai revealed that recently he took a swimwear modeling show so he had to get into shape. Recently he has been busy with Charmaine Sheh Si Man and Alex Fong Lik Sun on the film A DATE AFTER DIVORCE (YUN YEUK LEI FUN HAU), in which they had a love triangle. He and Ah Sheh even had kiss and bed scenes. Was he afraid of rumors? He said that earlier he already wanted to work with Ah Sheh because she was a television Best Actress. He would not get involved in rumors. Reporters said that he was linked in rumors with Theresa Fu Wing, he immediately said, "Don't mention it." He then changed the subject and said that Ah Sheh was very easy to get along with. Recently Ah Sheh was linked with a rich Mainland businessman. He said that he would not ask others too much about their personal lives.

Wang Yuanyuan yesterday held Him Jai's arm during the show. She was not worried that her boyfriend would be jealous. He also said that earlier she worked with Him Jai on THE MONKEY KING (DAI LAU TIN GUNG) and the collaboration was pleasant. She pointed out that her boyfriend was very generous but jealousy was very normal. Later she will work on a romantic film. If it had any intimate scene she would respect her boyfriend and ask for his opinion.

[2011.05.07] CHARMAINE SHEH MADLY HITS ALEX FONG LIK SUN IN THE STREETS

courtesy of takungpao.com

Charmaine Sheh Si Man two nights ago worked on YUN YEUK LEI FUN HAU (DATE AFTER DIVORCE) with Alex Fong Lik Sun in Causeway Bay. They shot an argument scene on the streets. Although the team wanted a low key production, almost 100 people looked on. Ah Sheh threw a tantrum at Siu Fong and even hit him madly with a handbag. Siu Fong said, "I really thought I would treat you to abalone!" Ah Sheh screamed back at him, "You treat me to shit!" They could not stop laughing and led to bad takes.

The usually soft spoken Ah Sheh often had to drink water to soothe her throat perhaps due to all the yelling. Jacqueline Chong Si Man passed by and as a part of the film she stopped to watch for awhile and chat with director Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum).

[2011.05.04] CHARMAINE SHEH WOULD RATHER STARVE TO REHEARSE

courtesy of on.cc

Charmaine Sheh Si Man would change her TVB contract once it expires as she would determine to head north for recognition. Interested in working in the film industry, she recently worked with Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) who has always excelled in little romantic movies, Alex Fong Lik Sun and Law Chung Him on a new film. In the film she and Fong Lik Sun played a couple and had many scenes together.

After ten two nights ago Ah Sheh and Him Jai appeared at a Hung Hom dessert store. After Ah Sheh appeared many pedestrians looked on. Despite the crowd, Ah Sheh was not distracted and instead very quickly got into character as she concentrated on rehearsing with Him Jai in the store. She was very professional.

Later when Yip Lim Sum rehearsed with them and explained to them, Ah Sheh had no hesitation. Not only did she listen to the director throughout, she also often took notes of the important points. During rehearsal, Him Jai often joked around to cheer her up.

During meal time, everyone went to rest at another location, Soon the team bought fast food for everyone. Professional Ah Sheh was unfazed. She would rather starve and only drank lemon tea as she continued to rehearse with Yip Lim Sum, Law Chung Him and Rose Chan Ka Wun.

[2011.02.08] ERIC TSANG URGES TVB TO VALUE ITS TALENTS

courtesy of takungpao.com

Eric Tsang Chi Wai has always given a helping hand to the younger generation. Whether on or off screen he would try to give new comers chances as much as he could. In the New Year, his wish was to make more movies and discover more new actors in the Year of the Rabbit so the
Hong Kong film industry would not continue to shrink due to a lack of successors.

To coordinate with the Mainland market, now most Hong Kong films are co-productions. More than half the cast are Mainland actors as fewer and fewer are Hong Kong film stars. Chi Wai of course noticed this situation so he hoped to make more movies. He said, "Hong Kong needs more Hong Kong films. Aside from Lunar New Year films, I hope to be able to direct more movies this year and they don't have to be comedies." Chi Wai also would like to cast more new actors and transfer his acting experience to them. Did he have anyone in mind? He said, "Not yet! I will look depending on the situation then, I myself like Bosco (Wong Chung Chak) but as soon as he got popular, the television used him excessively. So I also thought about street recruitment, people without any acting experience could too."

Chi Wai pointed out that TVB actually had many good actors but they were never free. Fala Chen for example recently made one series after another. Thus he would remind her to give herself a break, then make some good movies to increase her worth. Chi Wai said, "Aside from
Fala, (Kate) Tsui Tsz Shan is also worth cultivating. Ah Sheh (Charmaine Sheh Si Man) also, but she at TVB gets no rest at all." He hoped TVB would cherish its artists and raise their worth, which would not only benefit the artists and the company but also the audience.

The Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild last night held a Hong Kong Performing Artist Guild 17th anniversary party. At the event the first Performing Artist 2010 Outstanding Performance Award was held as the Guild selected the most outstanding male and female artists in film, television, radio and music. Moses Chan Ho and Charmaine Sheh Si Man won television actor and actress awards, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei won the film actor and actress awards, outstanding performance male and female singer were Eason Chan Yik Shun and Sammi Cheng Sau Man. Outstanding performance hosts were Jan Lamb Hoi Fung and Cha Siu Yan. This year's awards were selected by 30 industry professionals through two rounds of voting. 3D Gold sponsored the awards.

Last night the event theme was a wedding banquet. Artists all wore bride and groom badges and even Chinese and Western costumes. Eric Tsang Chi Wai last night appeared in a gold suit. Why was the theme a wedding banquet? He said that because he felt it was more fun, even strangers could pose for wedding photos. In addition some might never pose for wedding photos for their lives so they could take the chance and have a little fun. Chi Wai also said that the Guild in the past had Golden Rod Awards to encourage new comers, but this award was created to encourage people in the other areas as well. Without audience voting and purely based on the votes of several judges, was he worried that it would become a small circle vote? Chi Wai said it would not because they had over ten people in the discussion. DJ members voted for outstanding singers, singers voted for outstanding DJs. Later the Guild even planned to create a media selected award and stage drama awards, and non members would be eligible for them.

Last night's event had 45 tables that cost either 50,000, 30,000 or 20,000. The tables alone brought in 700,000. After the venue rental of 400,000, little was left. However the goal was for everyone to get together. Over 100 artists attended and guests like the officials from the Central Government Liaison Office, the Broadcast Authority and Legislative Council. Chi Wai joked that this year many officials were invited because in the past officials were often seen at disasters. He hoped that through this opportunity officials would have more understanding of this Guild and know that the Guild could do a lot more. For example in the future they hoped to set up a performing art school, short term courses and industry insider forums and for Tony Leung Chiu Wai, John Woo (Ng Yu Sum), Anthony Wong Chau Sun and others to be speakers. Last the guest performers were Alan Tam Wing Lun, Mr. and a group of music new comers. Alan seemed to have injured his neck and lost his voice, Chi Wai said that he had no idea. Chi Wai was asked to sing for Alan, he joked, "No, that would 'ruin' his life."

Winning the film actress award with BREAK UP CLUB (FUN SAU SHUET OI NEI), Sit Hoi Kei said that she did not know that she would receive an award. When she learned that she beat out Sandra Ng Kwan Yu and Wai Ying Hung, she said, "I feel I didn't beat them. Because I am younger, I believe the jury only wants to give me a chance. In terms of acting they definitely are better, I wouldn't have a chance because I am still inexperienced. However this award gives me a mission, from now on I have to be humble. I believe the jury wants to encourage new comers to do a little better, because as soon as we get arrogant we don't do well." Actually earlier she has already won a Best Actress award in Vietnam with the film. Yet the film's lead actor Jaycee Chan (Fong Cho Ming) was not even nominated. Did Cho Ming not perform well? She said, "Actually I have to thank Cho Ming. Half of the earlier award also belongs to him, because if another guy plays the role I wouldn't have such a performance. In real life we are good friends, we have chemistry. A lot of the dialogue were improvised on the spot. Cho Ming was very creative. (Would you give him a thank you kiss?) I think he doesn't want me to kiss him! As for gifts he has everything. Maybe I will send a card. (Would you wrap yourself up as a gift to give to him?) I guess he wouldn't want that either!"

As for outstanding singer award winner Chan Yik Shun, he said that he attended as the vice president and he did not know that he had an award. "I am very happy about the award, thank you very much! Because the jury consists of industry people, it proves everyone's recognition of
me. Now I will try to write more songs that have positive influence on the society." He also said that if he knew that the event theme was a wedding banquet, he would have appeared with his veil from the concert.

The 2010 TVB ANNIVERSARY SHOW last night at Television City. Pre race favorites Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung and Sheren Tang Shui Man both with NO REGRETS (GUN GOK HIU HUNG ji YI HOI HO CHING) won this year's Best Actor and Best Actress. Fala Chen and Mak Cheung Ching also won Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor with the show. Although the entire NO REGRETS cast won awards, CAN'T BUY ME LOVE (GUNG JU GA DOH) defeated it for the Best Drama award. Louisa Lee Sze Kei won the Anniversary Performer Award.

Last night before the ceremony before, the event showed footage of the late Law Kwan Jor and Wong Tin Lam as a show of respect. Tang Shui Man and Cheung Jai both won the Best Lead Awards for the second time. When Man Nui was on stage, guest presenter Ti Lung actually forgot to present the award to her. Man Nui pointed out that she first had to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for giving her a lot of life experience in order to play a character well and to play a character with flesh and blood like Cheng Gau Mui. She also thanked Heaven for giving her the passion to act and some crazy specialties so she could be very in character with any character. She hoped that everyone would cherish peace and liked the love without physical contact in the series, persisted with this belief, peacefully held hand until old age and cherished those in front of them.

Man Nui and Cheung Jai both won again and they appeared happy. Cheung Jai felt that such an occasion was rare and believed this was historic. Yet he was truly somewhat disappointed that the show did not win Best Drama. He thought the group was more important than the individual awards because both the cast and the crew worked hard. Yet he was willing to accept defeat and could only keep working hard. Man Nui felt that not having the Best Drama award was unimportant because many in this series won. Overseas viewers would pay attention to the show. Would they sign with TVB now? Cheung Jai felt that contracts and awards had no connection. They were about market value. TVB this time was very sincere. Cheung Jai said that a second award had many factors and not just sincerity alone. Man Nui felt that her victory had nothing to do with deals. This year was the best proof. She felt it was fair and just. Next year this subject would be useless. Cheung Jai also said that next year perhaps they would both sign and not have any nomination. Yet they both stressed that no one has approached them about contracts.

Charmaine Sheh Si Man won My Favorite Television Female Character. She said that she would not be greedy and she was already very happy about the award. In addition whether she wanted to win and whether she would win were not proportional. Of course she would be a little disappointed from not winning but she would not be unhappy. Not everyone could win. Moses Chan Ho did not win either My Favorite Television Male Character Award or Best Actor but mysteriously won the Best Professional Performance Award. When he accepted it even he joked, "Actually I am not too professional. I am just joking, I don't know what to say because I am both happy and worried. Now the Leading Actor award is colder than water." However, Chan Ho was not disappointed and being able to go on stage was already great.

Always a favorite, Lam Fung won the tvb.com Popularity Award and My Favorite Television Male Character. When he won the Popularity Award, he honestly said that he forgot he was even nominated but was very happy that so many liked this character. After the series many called him by his character name on the streets, which proved its impression on the audience. Then he was My Favorite Television Male Character Award. Did Mona Fong Yat Wa's advice helped? He said that he never thought about it. Now he was very satisfied with two awards, which was more than expected. he said that last night he gave his concert DVD to Ms. Fong. Did he write any note? He joked that he did not have any. Was he afraid that the awards would bring more gossip? He said that since he joined the business he has heard different noise. Doing what he wanted to do was the most important.

Tong Sze Wing won the Most Improved Female Artist and broke down when she reached the stage. She wanted to give the award to her late mother and even pointed out that she only had a three minute attention span in whatever she did before except acting. She thanked her mother for always taking care of her. She said, "I know Mommy really, really loved me, just I don't know why I put that in my heart for over ten years without telling you. Mommy I truly love you very much. You don't have to worry about me. I have many good friends and dreams." Will she celebrate with Amigo Choi Kin Bong? She said, "I am not talking about that, I will celebrate with several friends at dinner."

Wong Ho Yin won the Most Improved Actor as the favorite. He said that after 13 years in the business and 3 and a half in TVB, this was his first award. He thanked his family and his wife to getting over the most difficult period with him. He even announced that his wife will bring him a new addition. Ho Yin said backstage he forgot to thank his mentor Johnnie To Kei Fung, who brought him in the business and taught him how to survive in this business. His boss Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heung Wa Keung taught him about attitude while Kent Cheng Juk Si taught him acting. Will he sign with TVB? He said that for now he would maintain the current condition because he still had a contract with China Star. He also said that the baby has already passed the "petty period" but refused to decline the expectant date and its sex. His wife was on hand as well. He joked that he was afraid that he would cry when he saw his wife.

Mak Cheung Ching won Best Support Actor and was teary eyed on the stage. He said that he did not deserve the award as behind it many have put in an effort for him. He thanked everyone for encouraging him at his low point. This was the first time he had performance to show others, today he has repaid everything. If he had to retire he would be OK. Jokingly he was asked was even "eating crap" was worth it? He joked that eating it for ten years would still be worth it. Fala Chen won Best Supporting Actress. She said that not everyone liked this character and she had negative response. She also pointed out that Man Nui comforted her and said that even if she did not win this time she hoped that she would keep working hard. Fala said tearfully, "This is a rare chance, to work hard for my dream. I am already very happy to have this chance." Will she celebrate with karaoke with her boyfriend? She said that she did not know and did not know what her boyfriend would give her. Will she be able to wed now? She said that she would only talk about work and the award.

Louisa Lee Sze Kei was asked whether she was the youngest to win the Anniversary Performer Award. She pointed out that this award was not a senior award. Everyone could change their views about this award. Last night she just wanted to attend the TVB birthday celebration and did not think about winning an award. Otherwise she would dress up more. Was she happier about this award than Best Actress? She said that all the reports before the Best Actress award would reduce the joy. Last night was very surprising and very exciting. Sister Sze Kei pointed out that she had a long history with TVB and thanked the company for always silently supporting her. She felt that she was luckier than many other artists as many of her series have had great responses.
