Julian Cheung Chi Lam, Annie Liu (Lau Sum Yau), Christine Kuo two nights ago worked on the Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum)'s film NATURAL BORN LOVERS (TIN SUN OI CHING KONG) in Mongkok.  In the story Chilam wore a cute beer hat and went on a walk with Lau Sum Yau, but they ran into his old flame Christine Kuo.  Although it was just a few minutes, due to all the noise and flash photography from the crowd the production was affected.  To keep the cast from disturbance, the crew raised black cloth for cover but the people still knelt down to take photos.

Chilam often dined in Mongkok and would try to coordinate photo requests.  He said, "An artist doesn't need to be too emotional, no artist is more famous than Chow Yun Fat and he too always takes the bus and the MTR!"  Has he run into an ex like the story?  Chilam said, "I haven't because most of my exes are my good friends and they aren't too many anyway.  My wife (Anita) Yuen Wing Yi wouldn't be jealous.  She has always encouraged me to make more friends."

Lau Sum Yau admitted that with Chilam and the crew's protection she was not worried about the chaos.  "I have shopped here for undergarment, but I have to pick the right time to come."  She and Chilam had kiss scenes but they happened in a very natural environment, so she would not be embarrassed.

Mainland star Zhang Xinyu and Christine Kuo yesterday worked on the Wilson Chin Kwok Wai produced Lunar New Year film I LOVE HONG KONG 2012 (HEI SEUNG GA HEI).  Zhang Xinyu has been inked to top TVB actor Ron Ng Cheuk Hei.  Zhang Xinyu yesterday stepped into Ng Cheuk Hei's "turf" Tseung Kwan O to work on a movie and revealed that although she has been very busy lately she has dined with Ng Cheuk Hei.  Would she visit Ng Cheuk Hei if he was in Television City?  She said, "I don't know whether he is in Television City or not, but if he was in Television City if I have time I would visit him on the set."

Christine Kuo who was obviously slimmer played a "mouthy" news anchor.  She thought the character did not resemble her, which made it even more interesting.  She seemed thinner because of the pressure from working with series GHETTO JUSTICE 2 (NO FOR GAI TAU 2)'s Best Actor and Best Actress favorites.  "Working with two good actors (Kevin) Cheng Ka Wing) and (Myolie) Wu Hung Yi is very stressful.  The producer has given me a lot of opportunities.  I don't want to disappoint anyone."

The Wong Cho Nam, Yuen Siu Cheung and Johnson Lee Si Jit starred film FORTUNE BUDDIES (GAING CHAU FUK LUK SAU) opened yesterday. Yuen Siu Cheung, Lee Si Jit, Christine Kuo and others yesterday attended the promotion. They promoted at cinemas in Kwun Tong and Mongkok and gave away gifts. Wong Cho Nam was busy with his show rehearsal did not attend.

This time was the Gods first lead performance, did they have any box office pressure? Cheung Jai honestly said that he was a little nervous, but felt that word of mouth was the most important. If it had good word of mouth then it could be like HARRY POTTER and continue with sequels. What was his box office expectation? He said that he did not think about it, of course the more the better. He personally wanted to bring joy to the audience the most and hoped that everyone would support Hong Kong film. How would they celebrate ideal box office performance? Cheung Jai joked that if it performed well at the box office he and Si Jit would switch kissing partners. He could kiss Samantha Ko Hoi Ning while Si Jit could kiss Lo Mik Shuet. Was he not afraid that Ko Hoi Ning would turn him down? He joked that he could tell Ko Hoi Ning was easy to get along with so it should not be a problem.

Raymond Lam Fung and Joey Yung Cho Yi arrived in Guangzhou today to participate in THE JADE AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU)'s release ceremonies at four cinemas. Before hand, Lam Fung, Yung Cho Yi, Matthew Ko Kwan Yin, Christine Kuo Wan Wai, Steven Cheung Chi Hung, Coffee Lam Yuen Ha and others attended a press conference in a Guangzhou hotel. Yung Cho Yi joked that she had a lot of troops, but they were either lame or dumb. She cracked up the reporters on hand.

The press conference that was originally scheduled for 2PM due to the star's make up was delayed 40 minutes. Before that, two female fans stopped Lam Fung, Ko Kwan Yin, Cheung Chi Hung. A fan in her 30s mainly bothered Cheung Chi Hung and told him that she went to many places in order to see him. Cheung Chi Hung immediately hid into the elevator. Lam Fung, Ko Kwan Yin jokingly asked Cheung Chi Hung why he ignored the female fan, Cheung Chi Hung helplessly said that every time he saw that female fan she liked to touch. She was too much for him.

Yung Cho Yi played a robber in the film and looked like PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. She thought her look was very funny and was satisfied with her performance.

[2010.08.07] CHRISTINE KUO'S FILM BOTTOM LINE IS SMILE POINT?

Chrstine Kuo Wan Wai

courtesy of on.cc

Christine Kuo Wan Wai, Wong Cho Nam, Ken Hung Cheuk Lap, Sire Ma Choi and others last night appeared at cinemas to thank THE JADE AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU) viewers. Kuo Wan Wai stated that she has already seen the premiere and thought that her part later was not naturally enough. In the promotional tee shirt she was accused of having no career line. She said, "Today everyone wore tee shirts. (No Do It Yourself?) Not enough time! On the day of the premiere I already had a moment of glory. Today I thank the viewers with my heart." She also said that she would not perform in the nude and would only show "smile point" (dimple).

Ma Choi said that earlier she had a car accident, luckily the other party forgave her. She said, "I will compensate him. Many co-workers consoled me. (Did Ron Ng Cheuk Hei?) He didn't call me! Such rumors are actually very flimsy. Don't ask again. The fortune teller says that my real deal will not appear until next year." Cho Nam was so busy with giving gifts to viewers that he appeared late. He also impersonated tour guide "Jane" to say "explosive cut" (sorry) to
everyone.

[2010.08.03] JOEY YUNG AND WONG CHO NAM STEALS BACK ATTENTION WITH HEIGHT DIFFERENCE

Joey Yung Cho Yi, Raymond Lam Fung, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin and Wong Cho Nam starred in THE JADE AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU), which held its premiere last night. TVB executive Elaine Lok Yi Ling led artists like Christine Kuo Wan Wai, Jess Shum Cheuk Ying, Koni Lui Wai Yi and Katy Kung Ka Yan to steal the leads' thunder. Joey joked that she was "selling dance", the main reason of which was that she had no "career line". She also believed that this was the premiere's selling point, to each its own.

The Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong), Emperor Entertainment Group, Television Broadcasting and Sil-Metropole joint release THE JADE AND THE PEARL held its premiere last night. Emperor and TVB artists like William Chan Wai Ting, Vincy Chan (Wing Yi), Steven Cheung Chi Hung, Sherman Chung Shu Man, Lui Wai Yi, Kuo Wan Wai, Kung Ka Yan and Shum Cheuk Ying all dressed up for the occasion. Shum Cheuk Ying and Kuo Wan Wai put their "career lines" on display. Lui Wai Yi showed off her long legs. They stole the show from leads Lam Fung, Ah Sa and Joey; leads Ah Sa and Lam Fung's fans booked entire shows to support their idols.

Shum Cheuk Ying stated that they did not agree to dress provocatively in advance. Instead yesterday when she ran into Lui Wai Yi at the hair salon. She said, "If you are afraid of having your thunder stolen you can show off long legs. Since she was showing bottom, I showed top!" Kuo Wan Wai was worried about wardrobe malfunction so she did not dare to move too much!

Joey wore 3 inch high heels and appeared with Wong Cho Nam. The height difference won her a lot of attention back. Joey expressed that in the film only Lam Fung and Ah Sa had romance. She had a crush on Lam Fung but she still took action. She saw the film during voice work. At the time people laughed too. Last night's premiere was particularly tense. As for TVB artists stealing the show, Joey showed her music queen style and honestly said that she was "selling dance" art and technique. Mainly she did not have any career line, but she believed that this was the premiere's selling point.

Cho Yi also stated that she was in negotiation for series and films. Acting in front of good actors, she truly was afraid that she would drag others down. Thus she hoped that the film would perform well and give her back some acting confidence. As for box office expectation, Joey said, "Casual, I don't have too much burden. Many above me are carrying it. Poor box office has nothing to do with me, while I get the credit for good box office." Ah Sa stated that if the box office would exceed 15 million in Hong Kong Island, she, Lam Fung and Joey would kiss Wong Cho Nam. Joey would even wax Lam Fung's legs with duct tape! Lam Fung also joked that he asked fans to book entire shows for the box office to support the Kowloon box office.

[2010.07.29] CAREER FIRST FOR JJ JIA

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Shaw and Sil-Metropole release THE JADE AND THE PEARL (FEI CHUI MING JU) will be released on August 4. Yesterday four princesses including JJ Jia (Ga Hiu Sun), Macy Chen Mei Si, Christine Kuo and Jess Shum Cheuk Ying, along with two palace maidens Sherry Chen Song,
Cilla Lok Tung and director Chun Siu Chun met with the press and toasted to the film's opening success.

Yesterday the princess wore either low cut or high cut, the sexiest was JJ. She laughed and said, "I am only sexier around the chest, other regions are very secured. (Deliberate beauty contest?) I am no competition, I got a lot fatter. I just didn't want to waste this dress. (Getting fat because you are happy form dating Shum Chun Hin?) We are just good friends, we aren't dating yet. However we have known each other for years, so the chances are better. (Do you have feelings for him?) You have feelings for friends too, but right now my career isn't stable yet. I don't want to date. (Because Nat Chan Pak Cheung doesn't want you to date?) He has told the entire company that hopefully everyone would focus on work, but it wasn't as severe as the magazines described. He doesn't object to normal exchanges and hasn't banned dated. He only
hopes that everyone would stabilize their careers first." JJ also said that she did not like casual dating because she wanted marriage. Reporters urged her to go after her idol Louis Koo Tin Lok because he should be married. She joked, "He has so many female fans, I am afraid that someone would assassinate me. I am already happy to death about being able to work with him." As for Shum Chun Hin's resemblance to Goo Jai, she joked, "If he does then it's great, I don't even have to think about it!"

While boyfriend Eric Suen Yiu Wai said that he was unhappy on his micro blog, Macy was clueless. "You have to ask him, but normal people would occasionally have bad moods, maybe it's the rain! (How do you plan to cheer him up?) I will call him." He might be "cooped" up from a lack of release? She joked, "Koo Cho Lam? (Would you kiss him?) It's a secret, I am not telling you." Earlier a writer unveiled a male artist who forced women to go to bed and pray with him. Suen Yiu Wai was one of the suspects. Recently some magazines followed up on the story. Macy
only thought it was funny and supported her boyfriend as not that type of people. She would only read it like a fantasy novel. She said, "Something like this definitely wouldn't happen to him, but artists have a hard time controlling what other people write. Although it's unfair to
him, what can he do? Hopefully everyone would just laugh it off and stop writing even if they have suspicions."

Kuo Wan Wai who has been saying that she wanted to lose weight has not shown much result. She explained, "I already have improved a little. In addition earlier I was bloated, but I don't want to exercise. I don't want to have muscles all over, I don't want to turn into Mr. Hong
Kong." In the new film, she and the other princesses learned womanly ways from the Carlo Ng Ka Lok played eunuch. She said, "My family is very strict, normally I can't behave like this. In order to play the character well, I worked very hard on learning but for now I have no use
for it. It will be useful in the future with a boyfriend because I will have to entertain him. (Which princess performed the best?) Ka Lok did the best, he was very natural pretending to be a girl, even I feel I am no match for him!"
