[2012.03.12] SHAWN YUE CALLS WORKING WITH MINI YANG GREAT

courtesy of takungpao.com

Yesterday, Hong Kong director Pang Ho Cheung brought the flavorful romantic comedy LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) to Shenzhen and held an advanced screening.  After the show lead actor Shawn Yue Man Lok arrived in support and admitted that he liked Mini Yang Mi's flight attendant look in the film very much.  The kiss scene with Beijing girl Yang Mi even made him feel bashful.  However, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa revealed earlier, "During the intimate scene, the director in order to demonstrate to Yang Mi even personally performed an ambiguous show with Yue Man Lok.  The passion was endless."

The "internet slang" dialogue in LOVE IN THE BUFF was very viewer friendly.  The ordinary film content even due to "Pang's heavy ingredient" additions was uniquely savory.  Yang Mi in the film played a post 90 flight attendant who not only had a busty hot pant performance but also an intellectual uniform look.  The four characters in the film represented four types of people in the romantic world.

Speaking of working with Yang Mi, Yue Man Lok had nothing but praise.  "Yang Mi's character has natural requirements, she has to meet those conditions to be able to play it.  Yang Mi's figure is great, her acting also adds color and brings life to this character."  Why would Chi Ming be attracted to Youyou?  Yue Man Lok joked, "Youyou in the film is the opposite of Chun Giu.  Her figure is great, she is younger than Chun Giu, these conditions would easily attract Cheung Chi Ming to her."

In the film, Pang Ho Cheung's romantic mottoes were endless. "You have to be mentally ready when you hang out, either you run into him or he runs into you"; "Life is so long, you are bound to fall for several scumbags"; "Some things don't need to be finished in one night.  Some thing won't happen again if you miss it tonight" and others all contain wisdom but are also viewer friendly.  Pang Ho Cheung has put this type of "art comes from life yet is higher than life" creative ideas in their original flavors into the film.

[2012.03.01] MIRIAM YEUNG BARES HER BACK TO TEMPT SHAWN YUE

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) at the end of March will be released.  Both leads Shawn Yue Man Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa looked forward to it very much.  The pregnant Yeung Chin Wa stated that on March 21 she definitely will "apply" to participate in the premiere with her husband.

Chin Wa in the film wore a revealing black dress, which Lok Jai joked that he would never imagine Chin Wa would wear.  In this scene Chin Wa met with her old flame Lok Jai.  He guessed that she would wear a low cut dress but it was a back baring dress that attracted his eyeballs.  This dress was Chin Wa's own.  She said that the team arranged many for her to try but she thought that Chun Giu wanted more, as she should be sexy yet not too deliberate.  She said, "I don't want to bare my chest since there isn't much to see.  So I brought my own dress.  Lok Jai's reaction proved that my decision was right!"

During the shoot they were very focused, except the Spanish dishes on the table distracted him.  Chin Wa and Lok Jai could not help themselves as they sat down and ate whenever the shoot stopped.  The team had to keep ordering to fill in the food that constantly disappeared in extreme speed.  In addition, when they shot in Beijing in one scene Chi Ming went out late with his co-workers; that day the director arranged for 200 extras, most of them were present because they liked director Pang Ho Cheung and knew that Yue Man Lok would be there when they automatically applied.  They were very focused during the shoot.  Instead Lok Jai who felt that he was no longer young was numb to going out at night.

As for Chin Wa who did not go out at night still had fun because she could work while applying a facial mask.  In one scene Chin Wa and her friends chatted while they applied facial masks and ate.

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok yesterday promoted the film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING).  Chin Wa and Ah Lok sat as they watched viewers play game.  Real Ting Chi Ko did not appear.  Reporters joked that Chin Wa could finally breathe freely, but Ah Lok cut in.  "She is always sneaking out to breathe freely."  Chin Wa explained, "Hubby is my mother in law, and it's not like the Hong Kong Coliseum with so many elevators."  She revealed that she just snuck in some fries.  Was she afraid that her husband would yell at her?  Chin Wa said, "People like to be sneaky with food, it's human nature."

Chin Wa looked prettier and chubbier, even Ah Lok said that she was much sharper.  Chin Wa heard Ah Lok's compliment and immediately urged Ah Lok to get a wife soon.  Actually Ah Lok asked Chin Wa to introduce girls to him, Chin Wa helplessly said, "I am pregnant now, matchmaking is inconvenient."

What is Ah Lok looking for in a mate?  He kept saying that he did not have any condition, but he kept nervously shaking his foot.  Chin Wa joked that he was not this nervous even for bed scenes.  Chin Wa believed that Ah Lok's condition was filial piety.  Earlier when they worked in Beijing, Ah Lok's mother came to visit.  She saw how attentive Ah Lok was to his mother.  Ah Lok immediately said to Chin Wa, "Like you would be the best."  Chin Wa replied, "Too bad you met me too late."

Because Chin Wa's friends were around her age, would Ah Lok mind being with an older woman?  He admitted, "I don't mind.  Remember to spread around that I am a good site slashing prices for sale and like long hair."  Did he want long legs?  Ah Lok did not answer and changed the subject to praise Chin Wa as a mother in law killer, as she was able to chat nonstop with his mother.  In this area she was very learned.

Did Ah Lok chase girls normally?  He joked, "At my age I can't move, I can't go to Central, not to mention four places in one night.  It's not good getting called Uncle when I get there."

[2012.02.24] MIRIAM YEUNG INSISTS ON PROMOTING LOVE IN THE BUFF

The 36th Hong Kong International Film Festival yesterday officially announced Miriam Yeung Chin Wa as its ambassador again.  She and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred in the Pang Ho Cheung directed new film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) will be the opening film and the closing film will be the Berlin Film Festival Best Cinematography Silver Bear Prize winner WHITE DEER PLAIN.  Director Peter Chan Ho Sun will be this year's Filmmaker in Focus.

Chin Wa, Ah Lok and Pang Ho Cheung yesterday attended the press conference in Tsim Sha Tsui.  Peter Lam Kin Ngok and Hong Kong International Film Festival Association chair Wong Ying Wai also attended.

Chin Wa revealed that she was over six months pregnant and so far she has gained 16 to 17 pounds.  Her husband Real Ting Chi Ko was no longer as "follow around hubby" but now she started to have sciatic nerve
pain.  Thus she had difficulty going out with friends.  After attending tomorrow's event, the film opening ceremony and LOVE IN THE BUFF premiere she will officially rest.  Since the LOVE production was very tough, she will persist no matter what.

Chin Wa said that lately she has been watching movies at home.  She did not have any taboo even with the kiss scene in LOVE IN THE BUFF because her child in the future will know her mother was an actor.  Chin
Wa said, "At most I would cover my legs if anything.  I am even watching the television series THE HIPPOCRATIC CRUSH (ON CALL 36 SIU SI) and am reminded of when I was a nurse.  It's pretty realistic, Ma Kwok Ming performs decently.  Right now I am like a canary!  (Have you pretend to roll around in bed?)  I don't sleep well, on the left I crush my heart and on the right my hip hurts.  The company doesn't dare to arrange too much work for me out of fear that I would doze off."

Lok Jai joked that promoting with Chin Wa was rather stressful because he was very worried that she would constantly go to the bathroom, vomit from the pregnancy or even giving birth on the spot.  Has Mr. Ting asked him to take care of her more?  Lok Jai said that went without saying.  He and the director would take care of her.  Seeing Chin Wa overflowing with happiness, has he been tempting to start his own family?
Lok Jai said, "No, who can be as happy as she is.  I really want her to spare me some.  She doesn't need peach blossom, every time you mention I sigh.  When you use up all the peach blossom you wither.  (Have you hidden any and not talk about it?)  I haven't, I am thirty something, if I have I would talk about it."  Lok Jai also said that he has not considered girls of other nationalities.  He was very nervous about his mother communicating with her, so he would like to find someone who spoke the same language.  If they had nothing to talk about it would be quite a bother, as he in the future would like to live with his family.

[2012.02.10] MIRIAM YEUNG WISHES FOR VALENTINE'S DAY SURPRISE

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Shawn Yue Man Lok and Miriam Yeung Chin Wa earlier worked on Valentine's Day card photos for LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU) sequel LOVE IN THE BUFF.  They had different impressions of Valentine's Day.  Chin Wa said that as long as her husband was by her side, everyday was Valentine's Day.  Lok Jai said that he would have to work on Valentine's Day so he could not sense the holiday atmosphere anyway.  On the day of the shoot they waved props around on the set.  Chin Wa had a lot of fun, but Lok Jai was very uneasy.  Lok Jai was very afraid of affecting Chin Wa's Dragon baby did not dare to make any sudden move.  Chin Wa however had a lot of fun and made a variety of poses.  Lok Jai however still kept his distance from her.

They picked up flowers for a photo and planned to create Valentine's Day atmosphere.  When Chin Wa picked up flowers she was even bashful, but Lok Jai wielded them like swords.  Would Lok Jai give flowers on Valentine's Day?  He admitted that flowers were very outdated.  He was very afraid of giving flowers.  Even when he did he would not just give random flowers.  He hoped to have a more unique way to express his love.  This year was the first Valentine's Day Chin Wa would spend with her baby.  She said that she would have to make proper arrangements that day, but her husband might surprise her.  Lok Jai said that now work came first, on Valentine's Day he would be working in the Mainland.

Before the Spring Banquet began, boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok led the artists and the guests for a group photo on the stage and held a toast ceremony.  After the ceremony, the host invited Chin Wa to remain on the stage and brought out a cake to celebrate her birthday.  Yet the host revealed that Chin Wa was 38 and said that two nights ago was Chin Wa's Lunar and regular birthday, which happens only once every 19 years.  Chin Wa said, "Why would you tell people it only happens once every 19 years."  Later she with her husband Ting Chi Ko cut the cake as if they were reenacting the wedding ceremony.  Chin Wa could not help but laugh.  She also made a wish for good health for everyone, children and wealth, and luck in love.

Two nights ago many artists performed, EXILE lead singer Atsushi sang I DO and won applause from everyone.  When So Wing Hong performed THAT SOMEBODY (NA SHUI), Lai Ming even jokingly went on stage to present flowers.  Two nights ago many artists put up cash for the lucky drawing.  Big Boss Lam Kin Ngok put up 30,000, Lai Ming 5,000, Chin Wa 2,000 and others.  Chin Wa was five months pregnant.  Did her cup size increase?  She said of course.  Was Mr. Ting very satisfied with his wife's figure?
He said that he has always been.  Chin Wa joked, "Did you eat the honesty red bean bun?"  Earlier Lam Kin Ngok revealed that she was carrying a son, Chin Wa said that she and Mr. Lam both originate from Chaozhou so they were more traditional.  She did not mind boy or girl, this pregnancy would very likely be a son but the ultrasound was not clear.

How did Chin Wa celebrate her birthday?  She said that two nights ago she had a party with family and friends.  Ting Chi Ko decorated the venue to give her a pleasant surprise.  When asked about her birthday wish, Chin Wa said that the most important was health and safety.  What did Mr. Ting give to his wife?  He said that the party was it.  Did he give anything extra this year?  He joked, "I already gave it to her.  She is pregnant, the gift can be displayed for an entire year."  Chin Wa said, "So gross."  Speaking of taking care of the baby, Mr. Ting admitted that she had talent and joked that he knew which kind of bottle would leak milk, because he had friends with babies too.  In addition, Gaile Lok recently was rumored to be pregnant, Lai Ming two nights ago took the initiative to clarify.  He said, "No lying during the Lunar New Year.  She isn't, don't misunderstand."  Reportedly he bought a home in the U.S. for Gaile Lok's pregnancy.  Lai Ming said, "Did I buy a home?  Yes, that's it!"

[2012.02.03] SHAWN YUE HAS FUN WITH PREGNANT MIRIAM YEUNG

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Shawn Yue Man Lok and director Pang Ho Cheung yesterday promoted their film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) with a Mainland media interview.  Chin Wa's birthday was on February 3, the crew prepared a birthday cake and gave her a pleasant surprise.  Chin Wa immediately made a wish and cut the cake, but she did not reveal what the wish was.

Carrying a dragon baby Chin Wa became the focus of the interview.  When asked whether she liked a boy or a girl, she said it did not matter as she thought it being healthy would be the most important.  She also said that she was very nervous about this film.  As a workaholic, she would come out if she would be able to handle it.  Ah Lok said that he felt like he was lied to because during the shoot Chin Wa kept saying she was busy.  She had to work on the film, concert rehearsal and record promotion and said that she did not even have time to see her husband.  He did not expect her to on the mark, her (pregnancy) accuracy was truly too high.

Chin Wa explained that because her husband was young and they constantly exercised.  Pang Ho Cheung humorously joked, "What kind of exercise?"  Ah Lok added, "Where do you exercise?"  Chin Wa cracked up.  The director was asked whether he will make a movie about Chun Giu and Chi Ming as parents, Ah Lok said, "It should be made.  We should shoot it now and save it so nothing is wasted."

[2012.01.30] TERESA MO GIVES HER SEXIEST TO ERIC TSANG

courtesy of mingpao.com

Eric Tsang Chi Wai and Teresa Mo Shun Kwan team up again during the Lunar New Year for the film I LOVE HONG KONG 2012 (2012 NGOR OI HK HEI SEUNG GA HEI).  Mo Mo would even make a sacrifice for art as her most daring sexy performance in her film career was one of the film's secret weapon.  Mo Mo said, "No one has seen me with so little clothing, displaying the career line during an erotic dance.  Everything is real.  During the shoot the set was clear to a certain level.  When the crew saw this scene they were all wowed."  She worried that her revealing performance would frighten her family, thus she would deliberately invite her husband and daughters to the show.

As the producer and lead actor, Chi Wai was unwilling to have his thunder shown and came up with his own pleasant surprise.  He said, "I would have many costumes and dress up as certain characters so the viewers would smile from their hearts."  Mo Mo thought Chi Wai's performance was hilarious.  He did not like to follow the script, he always improvised.  Chi Wai spoke of this Lunar New Year film was made according to the audience demand.  He hoped to add some atmosphere to the New Year.  The script initially had Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Carol Cheng Yui Ling in mind, but the script was not be written according to their personalities.  With Chin Wa's pregnancy she turned it down.  He then thought of his old partner Mo Mo, along with Stanley Fung Shui Fan, Denise Ho Wan Si, Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Lok Wing, 3F national bust goddess Zhang Xinyu and a group of TVB artists they had a little fun and the result was very satisfying.

Chi Wai praised Ho Wan Si's acting as having her own style and had shades of her mentor Anita Mui Yim Fong.  Ah Si and Wong Chung Chak's kiss scene was the most memorable for him.  Chi Wai joked, "Because I have never seen Ah Si kiss a guy."

Although Mo Mo might be a second choice, she did not mind at all.  "I don't care, I get paid and the role is right for me.  I couldn't agree any faster.  In addition comedy partner is very hard to find, on this rare occasion the co-star is old partner Chi Wai.  We have chemistry so we have more fun."

Pegasus Motion Pictures last night held its spring banquet, many in the industry came in support like Raymond Lam Fung, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Kelly Chen Wai Lam, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and others.  Speaking of ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012 (BAK SING PO HEI)'s Hong Kong box office defeat at the hands of Eric Tsang Chi Wai's I LOVE HONG KONG 2012 (2012 NGOR OI HK HEI SEUNG GA HEI), ALL'S boss Raymond Wong Pak Ming ridiculed Chi Wai's movie for not having a Mainland market and stated that next year he will keep going.  He said, "Why not compete when we can?"

Last night many artists appeared and gave away big laisees so everyone was pleased.  Speaking of this year's ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012 disappointing box office, Wong Pak Ming was not disappointed and stressed that it was expected.  He said, "This year has many film releases, so far its Hong Kong box office is 7 million.  However its Mainland, Singapore and Malaysia responses have been decent.  The Mainland box office has already passed 70 million and passing 100 million won't be hard."  Pak Ming stressed that it had profit, this time the word of mouth was even better than last year's ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2011 (JUI KEUNG HEI SI).  As for losing to Chi Wai for a third year in a row, he did not admit defeat.  "Chi Wai('s movie) isn't in the Mainland!  (He won in Hong Kong?)  Then congratulations to him!"

Speaking of Chi Wai revealing that he sent a text message to Wong Pak Ming but has not received any reply, he denied that and only blamed it on him not being in Hong Kong.  "I am not afraid that he would be mad, I am happy for Chi Wai!  Next Year I will keep making Lunar New Year films, why not compete when we can!"  Will he congratulate Chi Wai when he will return on the Lunar 8th, Wong Pak Ming joked, "Let's wait until he is really back first!"  Wong Pak Ming also revealed that this year he will invest on three films.  SAVING GENERAL YANG (YEUNG GA JEUNG) will be released at the end of the year.  In April Vincent Kok Tak Siu's NAM YUN YU YI FOOK (MEN ARE LIKE CLOTHES) will start production; however, the new film with old couple Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and Miriam Yeung Chin Wai will have to be negotiated again due to Chin Wa's pregnancy.

Seven months pregnant, Chen Wai Lam admitted that she has already gained over ten pounds and joked that her appetite was even greater than her husband's.  "I keep eating salty and sweet things, it's very hard to control."  Kelly said that now once her husband was full she would try to stop.  Does her son "Shrimp Dumpling Kid" know that he will soon be an older brother?  Kelly said, "He knows that Mama has a baby in her belly and knows where he came from.  He would even pretend to crawl back inside to come back out again!"  She revealed that during the Lunar New Year she brought "Shrimp Dumpling Kid" on Lunar New Year visits and her friends and family gave laisee to both "Shrimp Dumpling Kid" and the baby in her belly.  When will she be able to break even?  Kelly helplessly said, "It's impossible, I calculated that both of their lifetimes won't be on par with tonight, tonight I will give six figure in laisee."  Last night she wore flats, she joked that now she could not even see her feet so dressing pretty would be useless.  "Now I don't like to sit because standing up I look like a pregnant lady!"  Andy Lau Tak Wa earlier admitted that his wife Chu Lai Sin was carrying a little dragon maiden.  Kelly stated that she would like to make a match.  She said, "'Little Juicy Bun' matches her.  If not that I will tell 'Shrimp Dumpling Kid' to take the place!"  She joked that this time she was rich because Wa Jai's daughter will have a lot in dowry.

Ng Kwan Yu was linked to Winnie Yu Tseng years ago.  Last night Kwan Yu appeared at the spring banquet and became the focus.  Recently Yu Tseng and Pansy Ho Chiu King were caught holding hands in Europe.  Kwan Yu coldly responded, "I didn't see the news, I don't know.  As long as they are happy it's fine.  It's got nothing to do with me.  Don't ask about other people."  She joked that she and her daughter constantly held hands too.

As for a dragon baby, she responded, "I have to rest for half a year before even trying, but I still have two movies on hand."  Kwan Yu admitted her body was like an animal's, one day without a child was like ten.  As for advice from her good friend Andy Lau Tak Wa, she said, "I can handle my own deal.  Telling him to raise me too sounds more like it."  As for Louis Koo Tin Lok recently he has been working on his new film DRUG WAR (DUK JIN) in Tianjin.  Goo jai said, "The low temperature there was seven degrees below zero (Celsius), we still have awhile on the shoot."  Speaking of ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012's mediocre Hong Kong box office, he hoped that next time will be even better.  Actors have to do their part.  As for whether he will work on another Lunar New Year film next year it will depend on whether the boss will invest.

[2012.01.20] MIRIAM YEUNG HAS LUNAR NEW YEAR FUN AT THE EXPENSE OF SHAWN YUE

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Miriam Yeung Chin Wa and Shawn Yue Man Lok starred new film LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) has already been scheduled for a March release.  They earlier shot a Lunar New Year special and even wrote Spring banners for the holiday.  Last year Lok Jai wrote "hundred shot hundred hit" to wish for Chin Wa's pregnancy in advance.  This year Chin Wa who confirmed the pregnancy said that she had to return the favor with "Married With Child" for Lok Jai, but Lok Jai heard about this "gift" and got a headache right away.  Then Lok Jai wrote "300 million box office" to wish for their new film to be a big hit.  Chin Wa still did not yield and planned to return her fortune.  Lok Jai immediately touched Chin Wa's belly and said, "Don't be like Mommy, she's bad!"  Finally Chin Wa wrote "Spring Wind Fulfills Wishes" and said to Lok Jai, "Spring Wind Fulfills Wishes means whatever you want you get, which is the most important to men!"

[2012.01.10] PREGNANT MIRIAM YEUNG PROMISES TO PROMOTE LOVE IN THE BUFF

courtesy of mingpao.com
courtesy of takungpao.com

The Pang Ho Cheung directed comedy romance LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) will be released simultaneously in the Mainland and Hong Kong late March.  This film continues the story of LOVE IN A PUFF (JI MING YU CHUN GIU).  After Chun Giu and Ji Ming's instant romance their relationship cooled down rapidly due to personality issues.  They even went to work in the Mainland on their own, both had "ideal mates" who appeared around them and made their romance even more complicated.  This time popular Mainland actors Mini Yang Mi and Xu Zheng joined the cast as Ji Ming and Chun Giu's second choices.

Currently pregnant, Chin Wa originally planned to be on her maternity leave.  Yet due to the film's promotional period, she set aside plans to take time off and hoped to complete all the film promotional work in her limited capacity.  Chin Wa pointed out that if her health would permit she would return work, including the film's March promotions in Hong Kong and the Mainland.  Shawn Yue Man Lok said that if the film would have a third installment, it could directly say Chin Wa was with child and her baby would be able to guest star in its first film.  Two versions of film posters have already been unveiled.  Pang Ho Cheung leaned toward the Chun Giu and Ji Ming embrace posting and posted it online, which was retransmitted over 10,000 times, a strong first wave for the film promotion.
