The French director Luc Besson directed, Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) starred film THE LADY two nights ago held a charity premiere.  Elaine Kam Yin Ling, Candy Yu On On and Ann Hui On Wa attended.  Yeung Chi King did not conduct any interview but gave a Lunar New Year greeting in Cantonese.  "Kung Hei Fat Choi, I wish may all your wishes come true and good health to all."  Yeung Chi King said that her film career started in Hong Kong, so she was very excited to be able to return to promote.  She was very happy that her friends came in support as well.  Luc Besson pointed out that this film was about love, a story of how much a husband liked his wife, which extended to a national level.

Kam Yin Lin in the film THE SOONG SISTERS played Yeung Chi King's mother.  She praised this "daughter" for her serious performance this time.  She felt that no one could replace Michelle's performance, which was truly very convincing.  She was happy for her.  As for when the mother and the daughter will work together again, she said that it would take its natural course.  Recently her significant other So Sze Wong suffered sudden weight loss due to illness.  Kam Yin Ling did not know why the rumor started.  "I am only going to say it once, Ah So's health is great."  Was Ah So slimmer because she was trying to lose weight?  She said that Ah So was not.

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), Lin Peng, Liu Kai Chi, Elaine Kam Yin Ling, Andy On Chi Kit along with director Dante Lam Chiu Yi two nights ago attended THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) premiere at Sky 100.  Also on hand were Deborah Li and her husband Moustache Kong, Patrick Tse Yin and others.

The host talked about the venue.  Ting Fung joked that he could consider making an action film here, but Chairman Chou joked that he absolutely would not make a sequel because it was too tough.  The 18th would be Chairman Chou's birthday and the event arranged for a cake to celebrate with him in advance.

Later Ting Fung stated that with the government's permit he would be willing to jump from here for a movie; would he not have to watch himself more as a father?  He said, "I trust the safety of Hong Kong film, we are crazy but not stupid."  The director said that the boss would like the box office to reach 400 million.  Ting Fung admitted that he neither dared nor knew how to estimate, he had confidence though.  When asked about his former wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi's poor box office performance after her comeback and becoming the box office poison, Ting Fung was very helpless and said, "Oh don't say that, (people made her sound horrible?)  You made up this name, I didn't say it.  (How do you think she should be described?)  Don't ask me, I don't know how to answer.  If you ask me again I would giving you a beating, or maybe jumping from here and pulling you down too."

Ting Fung said that he will fly back to Shanghai to work for a few days then return to Hong Kong for the Lunar New year.  When asked whether he would reunite with Pak Chi?  Ting Fung kept saying no and said questions like no chance have already been answered before.

Has she paid attention to any hint?  Lai Goo joked, "No, I too am waiting for the notice to coordinate.  (Have you contacted Pak Chi?)  No, she is hardly ever in Hong Kong.  (Are you scared?)  Why did you say that?  (Because you don't want them to!)  Are you answering for me?  I can tell everyone, don't put me between them.  Heaven's will is hard to go against, if they reunite I wish them well, don't say whether I approve or not."

Lai Goo said, she would prepare big laisee for her grandsons.  Quintus already knew how to say Grandma and Grandpa.  Would she urge her daughter Jennifer Tse Ting Ting to wed?  Lai Goo said that she did not want to but could not help but say that the Year of the Dragon will have a lot of joyous events.

Chairman Chou was very confident that the box office will reach 400 million; would he truly not make a sequel?  He said, "Absolutely not, I have to properly rest.  When I directed and starred myself it was both comfortable and award winning, how great was that!"  Would he ask rumored girlfriend Hannah Quinlivan (Kwun Ling) as the female lead?  Chairman Chou said that he did not want to find someone in the business as he hoped for freshness.  Otherwise he would ask Kwai Lun-Mei because they have not worked together for awhile.  Did he have a script yet?  Chairman Chou would like to shoot at the end of March.  Originally he thought about a magic film but THE GREAT MAGICIAN (DAI MOR SHOOK SI) has already used the subject first.

Would SECRET 2 be made?  Chairman Chou said, "It should be the end of the year, but I can't tell what the secret would be."  Reporters joked that his girlfriend was something that could not be told, Chairman Chou smiled without answering.  Would he like to work with Brigitte Lin (Lam Ching Ha)?  He admitted that he asked Andrew Lau Wai Keung to introduce them, but he did not know whether she would be willing.  However he still was very happy that she has seen SECRET (BUT NUNG SHUET DIK BEI MUK).  Would he truly not work with Hannah Quinlivan?  Chairman Chou said, "The best would be asking friends of opposite sex who won't lead to rumors.  (But she really is a girlfriend?)  We are just friends.  (Are you dating?)  Dating in the movies."

Liu Kai Chi and Elaine Kam Yin Ling in the Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) played estranged brothers Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun)'s parents.  Uncle Chi has already worked with Ting Fung many times and had chemistry with him long ago.  Uncle Chi said that in the film Kam Yin Ling and Ting Fung would have an emotional scene.  He remembered that the temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius during the shoot but they still had to wear thick coats.  Uncle Chi said that after his scene he stayed to watch and their performance touched him very much.  Although he and Kam Yin Ling played a couple in the film, they did not have any scene together officially.  Kam Yin Ling regretted that and could only hope for another chance to work together next time.

Kam Yin Ling said that she already played Ting Fung's mother for the second time.  The last time was in METADE FUMACA (BOON JI YIN).  At the time Ting Fung was only 19.  Now he has already experienced a lot and a father.  She said that back that Ting Fung did not say much but had great work ethics.  He did not have any bad habit and was very professional.  This time she only had one scene with Ting Fung but this scene was very heavy emotionally.  During the shoot Ting Fung was facing his marriage problems.  Did they communicate before the shoot?  Kam Yin Ling said that they did not chat as they were preparing on their own.  She praised Ting Fung for his very suitable control on his emotions.  During the shoot he did not exceed the limit and was unaffected by his personal
life.

As for Chow Kit Lun, Kam Yin Ling admitted that she has not seen his work before so she quested whether he could act.  Yet after working together she realized that his acting actually was decent and better than she imagined.  She pointed out that everyone have their own bright spots.  The emotions that Chow Kit Lun expressed in the film was not easy, but he performed it with his own unique ways.  Uncle Chi said that Chow Kit Lun's eyes put him under their spell and had a type of charm to them.

Director Dante Lam, Lin Peng, Jay Chou, Elaine Jin, Bai Bing

The Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed new film THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) after finishing its final shoot in the Beijing 798 art district immediately held production close ceremony.  Aside from the director, Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun). Lin Peng, Bai Bing, Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling), Zhang Ran and other actors attended.  They even opened bottles of champagne with film company executives and attracted many reporters.

The background of the production wrap scene was winter with heavy snow on the ground.  Chow Kit Lun returned from overseas to visit his ailing mother Kam Yin Ling and met her nurse Zhang Ran.  Speaking of the wrap, Chow Kit Lun happily said, "After the production ends, I looked forward to the film's official release very much.  The entire team has been working hard for so long.  At the same time I also breathed a sigh of relief for Director Lam Chiu Yin.  During the shoot I saw how tired and exhausted he was.  Now it is finally a wrap, he should take a breath!"

Lin Peng worked with two hunks Chow Kit Lun and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung for the first time and complimented both as great.  Ting Fung was very handsome and Kit Lun was somewhat childlike.  She honestly said that she was more nervous about working with Ting Fung than with Kit Lun, because Ting Fung was very professional and excellent she could learn a lot from him.  As for Chow Kit Lun he was easy going, loved to talk, was not arrogant at all and was a serious actor.  Lin Peng even cut her long hair for this character.  She honestly said that she was reluctant to cut her hair but only this way was suitable for the character.  In her first action film Bai Bing thanked the director for giving her a chance to try and even honestly said that this was an unprecedented challenge for her.  In the film she spent most of her time in a bullet proof vase and a series of action and gun fight scenes.  She also had romantic scenes with Chow Kit Lun, but unfortunately she did not have a chance to work with Ting Fung and Lin Peng.

Playing Ting Fung and Kit Lun's mother, Kam Yin Ling praised both as professional and good actors.  Actually this was not her first collaboration with Ting Fung.  When Ting Fung was 19 they already worked
together on METADE FUMACA (BOON JI YIN).  At the time he was very quiet and did not like to talk.  She said that she and Ting Fung had little contact.  Instead she was close to his parents.  She also praised Ting Fung as a very hard working actor who strode for improvement.  She believed that he was the extremely rare breed after Jackie Chan.  As for working with Chow Kit Lun for the first time, she thought that he was a little shy, which instead helped their emotional scenes.
